  1. Yeah, I thought it was a little strange that you didn't mention my vote or anything. Well, considering all of the talk surrounding the many kills on N1, and whether one of them was an extra elim kill, it wouldn't surprise me that, if the Coinshot is an eliminator, they decided to attack phattemer to make us unsure of whether they are an eliminator or not. After all, they might get scanned by an information role, or have to claim to try and protect themselves, so they probably wouldn't kill obvious villagers. At least not until the game is well in hand for them. So I'm not ruling out that the Coinshot attack on phattemer was definitely village(we know that the Atium misting was Alv, so, village, and you're right that Hazekiller was a House focus, so it's not really an alignment kill). I think we can safely rule out Alv's House for the identity of the Coinshot, since giving a House 2 kills would be unbalanced, IMO. I say we just watch the kills very carefully, and if they continue to take out villagers, we do our best to narrow down who it could be. And like most others have suggested, I think we should go easy on the kills right now. Moving on, here's a list of everyone's activity(sorta), as well as what I'm feeling about them: And here are the 7 dead players, and how they were killed, because I felt like making a chart: So! After all of that, the players I'm looking at the most are: Megasif, Budgie, Randuir, Arinian. The players I'd like to hear more from since they haven't really given us anything to go off of are: Lemonelon, ShaneysRus, Rebecca, Shqueeves, Doc, Bard. That leaves these players as my village reads: Roadwalker, Darkness, Straw, manukos, Asterion, Arraenae, BR, Sami, Livinglegend.
  2. I thought I may have been a little paranoid about phatt. :/ Anyways, I've always gunned hard for people I'm suspicious of. I'm a little surprised that you're voting on me, since I am the only player who voted on Drake based on actual suspicion. I know that doesn't clear me or anything, but I'd expect a little more leeway than this, since so far I'm 50% with my suspicions. Going back to D1 stuff, I still feel like Straw is most likely village, for his vote on Drake. Asterion, I'm still a little wary of, considering his vote on Cloudjumper kind of looked like he was protecting Drake to me. But...I don't know, as the game has progressed, he hasn't seemed nearly as suspicious. One thing I think might point to his innocence is that last Cycle he voted on Road instead of phatt, which, if he was an eliminator, I would think he'd vote on phatt over Road, to try and prove that they weren't teammates. I know that's a little bit convoluted, but whatever. So, at this point, it seems to me that most of the voters at the end of D1 were actually villagers(we know phatt and Alv were, and Road likely is, and I've got a village read on Straw). Which means I don't really have any great leads. I do want to look over the players who voted on phatt, to see if anyone's reasoning for that suspicion wasn't very thought out. Hmmm. Current suspicions - Budgie and one of Arinian/Megasif. Budgie, I just have a bad gut read on her. I'm not sure what it is exactly. Arinian, I was slightly suspicious of how he didn't give an opinion either way with phattemer and Asterion, then he voted on Megasif following my lead(when Megasif had already responded to my poke vote), then switched to Road for information. Megasif, mostly it's the fact that he didn't pick a side between Road and phatt last Cycle, which, if they were both villagers like I think, kind of reads to me like he didn't want to pick a side and then get blamed for it. I say I think either Arinian or Megasif is evil because I don't think they both would be, because of how Arinian put a 2nd vote on Megasif last Cycle and then Megasif cast suspicion on Arinian for it. It didn't seem like a distancing tactic to me either, since Arinian's vote put Megasif in the lead for the lynch.
  3. Well I'm glad we did have a tied lynch so we know what happens, but Alv...please don't force any more ties. The wings of Fortune don't seem to like me with these sorts of things. While I agree with it, the vote won't count, since it's the Night Turn.
  4. That's pretty close to how I feel about Arinian and Road as well. I disagree with you about phatt, but I was hesitant to vote for him early this Cycle because I felt like I was maybe tunneling. As for Alv, he could very easily be an elim. I want to make it clear that I don't have any sort of read on him(and probably never will ), I was just pointing out that what he did wasn't something I'd consider an eliminator tell.
  5. Thanks for checking in! Megasif I don't know if I'd want to lynch Alv over this. I mean, sure, he's trying to get an advantage for his House through the lynch, but you're already up for the lynch. I'd rather we didn't get bogged down trying to kill you though, and since I've already stated suspicion of phatt, that's where my vote is going. Road, even if we kill all of the Skaa, if your House doesn't have the most favor when that happens, you lose. Vote tally: Roadwalker(4): Manukos, Asterion, Arinian, Phattemer Phattemer(3): Sami, Alvron, Lopen Asterion(1): Megasif Alvron(1): Roadwalker
  6. The write-up mentions that Striker was killed by the Skaa. Bugsy was killed by someone using Atium. Steeldancer was killed by a Coinshot. Ouch. That's rough. That does make sense though, that the elims would want to wipe out your House if you're all villagers. Well, I've looked over a few players activity, and I'm gonna place my vote on Megasif. He's posted a couple of RP posts, but no thoughts on the game yet. He's also been online fairly recently. @Megasif, could you tell us what your thoughts are on the lynch last Cycle and the Night kills?
  7. Wowzers, 3 Noble deaths. 2 of which were Seekers. Well, at least we did catch a Skaa to begin the game, which makes this not quite so rough. Still, all 3 of the players were active ones too. :/ Let's see, Striker was killed by the eliminators, Bugsy was killed by an Atium user, and Steeldancer was killed by a Coinshot. I really hope Drought didn't give the elims an extra kill, and I suppose I could see villagers with a kill ability try to weaken the other Houses. Personally, I'd have gone after a player a little more suspicious, since you get points for killing an eliminator, which, after thinking about it, makes me worried that one of the Atium/Coinshot kills was from an eliminator. We can't really do much about it, except try and keep track of each other in our Houses, so I guess there's not much more to say about this. Well, anyways, on to the lynch. As for me, I'm still verrrrrry suspicious of all of that last minute voting. Asterion, I guess it makes sense for you to switch to Drake as self-preservation, so I'm a little less suspicious than I was. Phattemer, I'm still very wary of. I'm not quite sure I want to try to lynch him, considering it didn't seem like I have very much support in that suspicion, and I'd like to get some of the more quiet players from last Cycle more involved in the discussion. So I'll likely vote on one of them...once I go through things and figure out who exactly I think deserves it.
  8. The votes were within the last hour, and a bunch of them were withing minutes. There's only a small chance of vote manipulation happening at that point, unless someone sent it in much earlier, and at that point it might not even have an effect on the lynch. I read Alv's push for a tie as NAI. I disagree. First, phatt's initial vote on Drake was a simple poke vote. Then, once it was a 3 way tie between Drake, Road, and Asterion, phatt moves his vote from Drake to Road. Only once Alv started trying to force a tie did phatt return to voting on Drake. Considering I'd connected phattemer and Asterion to Drake early on in the Cycle, I'm not giving either of them any village points for those votes. Again, (and this is in response to both you and Bugsy), I don't really see it as a straight up bus. I'm not saying phatt or Asterion are definitely eliminators, but if you look at their situation if they are, what they did makes sense. I'd connected them to Drake, so the whole "I don't want a tie" thing feels like a cover to me. I don't think they'd have been as aggressive at forcing a lynch unless they were trying to get trust out of it, to show that they weren't connected to Drake. Asterion, what made you decide to last minute vote on Drake? You'd said that Roadwalker seemed like the most suspicious player up for the lynch just minutes before changing your vote. Also, we need to realize that Drake was a vote manipulation role. Why the heck did he not protect himself by changing one of the votes on him(my vote had been on him for a while, so he could have easily changed mine)? It could have been because he wanted a tie to show he wasn't worried about dying, sure, but the whole thing feels very fishy to me.
  9. Alrighty, well, I looked over things, and here are my thoughts so far. I'm a little suspicious of phattemer, Drake, and now possibly Asterion. It's, of course, on the paranoid side, but here's my reasoning. First, phattemer's advice was very solid advice, and it reminded me of a game where he and I were eliminator teammates(a MR run by Elbereth I think, if any of you wanted to know which game), and he practically outlined our strategy in the thread as a way to gain some trust. My distrust of phattemer is also connected to my suspicion of Drake, as I can totally see phatt voting on one of his teammates early on as well. I don't want to lynch him though, since it's his first game back in a while. As for Drake's posts, I'm not particularly suspicious of anything he's said, but I could easily see anything he's said coming from a skaa. His vote on Bugsy is also a fairly safe place to put his vote, as it's a retaliation vote. Obviously, that's not inherently an eliminator thing to do, I'm just saying that even though he's posted a couple times, I don't feel like anything he's said points to him being village. That, and for some reason whenever a player says they're ok with being lynched, I get suspicious. My suspicion of Asterion is based completely on Drake being evil, so it's very minor. My reasoning being he added a vote on cloudjumper soon after the first vote, which makes it feel like he's trying to protect Drake(the only other player with a vote on them). This could be because they're both from the same House though, so I don't know. That's really all that's struck me as possible suspiciousness. In terms of village reads, well, I'm as confident in those as I am in the above reads...not very much. Randuir seems like his regular self, as does BR I think. I didn't see anything wrong with Bugsy's second vote on Drake, and most of the time, the second vote on a player(especially D1) is by a villager. I know that seems to contradict my suspicion of Asterion, but it's really a different situation. I like livinglegend's post, but as they're a new player, I don't think I'll have a read I can trust until a couple Cycles in. After all that, I think I'll vote Drake. I know it's weak reasoning based on things that you can't really defend against, but it's really my best lead. This has absolutely nothing to do with House politics either. I'm with Randuir that we need to keep that out of the lynch as much as possible.
  10. Both of you are basically right, in that my post was a little half-hearted and not too helpful. I mostly was just trying to post something, because I hadn't done much in the game yet. I was finishing Oathbringer yesterday though, and mainly spent my time online trying to help with House stuff. I did finish Oathbringer(wooot!), so that should free up more time for this. Looks like we've got about 4 hours left in this Turn, and their really aren't many votes(not that I was any help, I know), but I have some time right now, so I'll try and figure out a good place to vote. Here's a vote tally: Drake Marshal(1): phattemer, Bugsy Bugsy(0): Drake Cloudjumper(1): livinglegend GM's, does it take at least 2 votes to cause a lynch, and what happens with a tie?
  11. Ehh, I wouldn't be so quick to say that a mistborn would be more likely skaa than noble. It just depends on balance, and giving the skaa a mistborn would probably focus too much of the team's balance on that one player. Anyways, I think the village has an advantage in that we know that the skaa are spread out through the houses. I think that's important to keep in mind as we go along, since that should help us narrow things down somewhat. GM's, will the deceased players House be shown in the write-ups? If not, it'll be hard to use that advantage until we have a clear picture of who is in which House. As for other advice...uhhh...sending in your actions early is a very good idea. I'm also open to working with other Houses in catching Skaa and stuff, so send me PM's. I was also going to suggest voting as early as possible, since it helps discussion, but I haven't found a place to put my vote, so I can't very well tell others to do it if I'm not. >>
  12. I'll sign up as Owain [whatever House I'm in of course]. A few questions: Can you earn 5 points of favor for strategy/roleplay posts during the Day and the Night? Or is it 5 per cycle? Do the Rebels have a standard eliminator kill? "...while players outside of the Ball can not target those not at the Ball." Is this supposed to say that those not at the ball cannot target those at the ball?
  13. Aftermath: "It's down to us, Pashul," Arin said urgently. "No, Pashul! We need to get Arin," panicked Reddathan. "Sorry, Red," Pashul apologized. Arin punched Red, knocking him out. "I'll do it," Pashul affirmed. He took out his knife, and slit Red's throat. Arin let out a sigh. "We did it," he breathed, sitting down. "Yes. I did." Pashul stated flatly. Arin turned. "What's wrong?" "Nothing. Nothing at all." Arin suddenly understood. "Oh, STORMS! It was you this entire time!" Pashul's knife entered Arin's eye. Pashul sighed as Arin gurgled. "I had to end this. Ialai's instructions, I'm afraid. Have to clean up the whole mess, and I get my freedom." Pashul walked over to Arin, and finished ramming the thrown knife into his head. One more thing to do. --- "You did as instructed?" Vendel asked. They had met by the scenic chasm side. "Yes I did. Ialai is pleased with the performance of your poisons." Pashul stated. Vendel frowned. "Since when do you have the authority to speak for Ialai?" "Because I was never yours. She, unfortunately, does not like your particularly... brash methods." Vendel's eyes widened in fear, and then he lunged at Pashul. But Pashul was prepared. He splashed the nastiest poison into Vendel's face. Vendel reared back, and moaned in pain. "That's why I helped kill your agents. For my freedom." Vendel screamed, holding his face, which was turning purple. It also was spreading to his hands as he held his face. Pashul grew sick of looking at the man. So he kicked him- still screaming- into the convenient chasm. "Good riddance. Disgusting man.: --- "You have earned your freedom, Pashul. Welcome to my personal retinue of spies." Ialai smiled at her newest- and possibly most faithful- agent. --- The unusual tragedy of Bridge 11 was put down to an illness. Gaz reformed the Bridge from new "recruits" the very next day. They never did realize how much blood had been shed in those barracks. Sami was lynched! She was a Unlucky Guard! The Spies have won! Especially Drake! In case anyone hadn't heard, Drake was a secret eliminator role. His primary goal was still to help his team outnumber the village, but he also needed to survive and help kill one of his teammates. His role was labeled "IaIai's Chosen" but he was really just a Tough Unremarkable. I really didn't think he'd help kill all of his teammates, but it worked out in the end, so hopefully the other eliminators won't be too upset at me for giving them a traitor of sorts. Great game everyone! I hope you all enjoyed playing. I know I had a lot of fun. Once again, a huge thank you to Steeldancer for all of the great write-ups. It was a big help, and I think the write-ups made the game a lot better. Oh, and here are the links to the docs: Spy doc Dead doc Player list:
  14. Day 9: Vendel handed the Spy a vial. "Try this one next," he said, grinning. "I imagine you'll find the results fascinating." The Spy took the vial and slipped it into their pocket quickly. They hurried back to their barracks to administer the poison to one of the other bridgemen. Or rather, they gave it to BR, and she didn't really fit the bridgeMAN thing too well. Regardless, she would probably be the last of her kind, because when the bridgemen found her in the morning, she was an interesting shade of green. Reddathan, Pashul, and Arinian looked between themselves. One of them had to have done it...but which one? BrightnessRadiant was killed! She was a Unlucky Unremarkable! PM's are closed. There is no Unremarkable vote. Player list:
  15. Night 8: *considering this was a very close vote, we don't have a write-up prepared, so come back tomorrow* HH was lynched! He was a Spy Worldsinger! HH(3): BR, Sami, Drake Arinian(2): HH, Arinian PM's are open. Player list:
  16. Day 8 The remaining bridge crew sat grumpily around the barracks, looking despondent and bored. And yet many discussions happened quietly. Tenodin was once again debating whether he should kill someone. He pulled out his knife, and... No. Yes? Maybe? Someone different? Maybe tomorrow? Tenodin sat in indecision as he walked outside, continuing to think upon whether he should kill his target. Screams in the distance. Soldiers shouted. "WHITESPINE! SOMEONE LET THE WHITESPINE OUT!" yelled a voice in the distance. Soldiers were obviously mobilizing to take the creature down. But the screams were coming from a different part of the camps, so he was safe. He heard rustling behind him. Tenodin didn't even have a chance to scream as the whitespine ripped through him. The whitespine then pounced on Melb, who just stood there, doing nothing. As the whitespine devoured the two, the bridge crew ran. Soldiers soon mobilized to the bridge crew barracks and recaptured the whitespine. Its cage had been opened, somehow. The other bridge crews whispered of the sudden bad luck of Bridge 11. A chasmfiend, and now a Whitespine only really attacked THEIR camp? What was going on? --- Vendel glared at his spy. "A whitespine? Really?" The slave shrugged. "I felt a bit of excitement was required. I used pheromones... very convenient, really." "Don't pull something like that again. Draw too much attention to my operations, and I will end your pay, and you may find yourself as the subject of one of my experiments, at the hands of the others," Vendel threatened. "Whatever." The spy returned to the crew, unnoticed. Randuir was killed! He was a Unlucky Assassin! Shqueeves was killed for inactivity! He was a Unlucky Surgeon's Apprentice! PM's are closed. There is no Unremarkable vote. Player list:
  17. Night 7 He only had one option left. The remainder of the bridge crew was chasing him. He had to run. Run as far away as he could. Perhaps he could manage to escape away from this death trap. He crept around a building, eyeing the road that led out of the War camp. There were soldiers patrolling, if not very many. But they would most certainly question him about what he was up to. Unfortunately, he didn't have much time. He could hear his bridge somewhere behind him, looking for him. If the soldiers got even a whiff of him and went on alert, he would die. Probably get strung up in the next highstorm or just get killed on the spot. But he couldn't live any longer in this mess. People were dying of poison like chulls in a whitespine den. It was all sorts of bad. He needed to escape. So he ran. A minute. 2 minutes. Out of the warcamp. Had he escaped? "UMPH!" The man groaned as he was stabbed by a spearman, a guard who had been alerted. The man had a minute to consider whether this was a better death by poison. Perhaps, it would have just been a better idea to never have done that lighteyed woman. Darkness was lynched! He was a Unlucky Unremarkable! Darkness(4): BR, Drake, Arinian, randuir PM's are open. Player list:
  18. Day 7 Kohl did not last very long. He was stabbed as soon as no one was looking. And not only that, but his stuff contained some incriminating firemarks. He had been corrupt. ------ Meanwhile, An Explosive Gerbil looked into the warm campfire he had created. The flamespren danced among the flames. He had always like burning things. It comforted him to see the wood crackle and emit heat, so dangerous and so beautiful. Fire did not betray you, unless you were dumb with it. He reached out with a stick to prod the coals. Something kicked him when he was off balance. He flailed for a moment, but the kick had been perfectly timed. He tried to turn and see who had kicked him, but the fire blinded him. He collapsed into the fire, which he had tended to an impressive size. The warmth happily consumed The Explosive Gerbil. The Explosive Gerbil became the Crispy Gerbil that night. Megasif was Assassinated! He was a Tough Spy Con Artist! Straw was killed! He was a Unlucky Worldsinger! There is no Unremarkable vote. PM's are closed. Player list:
