Wax is 42 years old during the events of Alloy of Law (341PC). During the events of TLM he is 49 years (348PC). There is a WOB that says the SL time skip is like 10-15 years. And Alloy of Law takes place during it. Even if the time skip is Rosharan years then Wax would be in his 20s-30s during Stormlight 1-5. @Child of Hodor & @alder24 beat me to it.

@coolsnow7 I stand corrected. Thank you @alder24

Semantic argument, but we know from her own accounting that Re-Shephir was captured at some point by a Lightweaver. With that said, I agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense that Dai-Gonarthis was imprisoned in Shinovar. It seems more likely to me that it migrates there at some point and sets up shop so to speak. If I remember correctly from MBE2 Electrolysis pops up while Wax lives in the Roughs. That hasn't happened yet. Unless you are implying the Ghostbloods have it before Scadrial does, which is possible (maybe even likely) but I'm pretty sure would just be unconfirmed speculation.
-
I'm not sure that it does though. Your timeline seems to be a bit off. I'm suggesting the Ghostbloods do not have the technology for some of this stuff at this point. The Ghostbloods do have the technology at this point as @alder24 points out below. My timeline was in fact the one that was off.

Aluminum is still extremely rare and expensive on Scadrial for another 20 years or so. Keep in mind that Mistborn Era 2 takes place during the Time skip between Stormlight 1-5 & Stormlight 6-10 and Aluminum Electrolysis isn't until the back end of MBE2.

I'm not sure I understand what you're implying? I postulated that she is considering gender because she was the one who brought it up with her question to the Sibling. It isn't like it came up organically in conversation. As for her not viewing it as binary, I say this because when the Sibling proposes that the concept of not being male or female is likely strange to Rushu, she answers that it makes sense to her. Edit: I see now that I misread "Building" as "Builder". That is where my confusion in your post came from. Though even then, The Sibling isn't the Tower itself. It is the Spren of the Tower. Which as we've seen with many Spren are often personified in one way or another. So I don't think the Stormfather or Nightwatcher are odd. More that all three seems like plausible results.

That was the impression I got as well. Or at least that Rushu is considering Gender and doesn't view it as Binary. Unrelated, but as intuitive as it is, we now know (canonically) that the Shin refer to the bearers of Honorblades as "Honorbearers". I remember when "Shardbearer" was a far more prevalent term there was speculation on what to call them around the release of Words of Radiance (assuming the bearer was not a Herald).

Discord and Harmony - A big clue in Way of Kings
The Sovereign replied to kalamitous_emoashions's topic in Cosmere Discussion
In concept this a good idea, but I do not think it works this way in practice. As @Dofurion correctly stated, Harmonium is not an Alloy, it is a "naturally" occurring element of its own. Another thing to consider; Sazed does not make it consciously, it is just a biproduct of his Power in the physical realm. The instability is very likely just a physical representation of the opposed dual nature of his power rather than an actual imbalance. -
Discord and Harmony - A big clue in Way of Kings
The Sovereign replied to kalamitous_emoashions's topic in Cosmere Discussion
While the Vessel will have some effect on the Power I think it is fairly negligible in the context of changing the Intent. The Power changing the Vessel is far more likely. Regarding the Harmony/Discord duality, there are a couple of things to consider; First, Preservation and Ruin are essentially opposite powers which by their nature are difficult to keep in Harmony. Second, while Sazed is the whole of both Preservation and Ruin his Ascension did not change that a chunk of Preservation's power is in the people of Scardrial. In practice this makes Ruin stronger than Preservation. This imbalance is what will most likely will tip the scale into Discord. A couple of relevent WOBs: -
What changes if someone becomes Honor?
The Sovereign replied to Elite01's topic in Stormlight Archive
If someone Ascends to Honor, then Navani will be able to leave the Tower without her connection to the Sibling weakening. -
I haven't dug through all 7 pages of replies thoroughly, only skimmed so I apologize if this has been brought up already but I think we should be looking to the "arguments" Kaladin and Lirin have been having all series for a couple of potential Oaths: Can you kill to protect? The 5th Ideal could be something along the lines of "There are many ways to protect". Acknowledging that how you protect someone can vary from person to person. This seems plausible to me, though probably too open ended. You have to learn when to care. I think this is more likely to be the fifth ideal: "I will forgive myself for those I cannot protect." This seems like a natural progression from the 4th Ideal. First accepting that you are going to fail some people. And then not blaming yourself for that.

I think you might have the Cultivationspren and the Highspren swapped. As we now know the Nightwatcher replaced the Night via Cultivation it stands to reason the Cultivationspren would be in the same category. It should also be noted that assuming the Cultivationspren are in fact in the Night category then all three Spren in that category are Spren who cannot make themselves invisible. In addition, the Bondsmith spren each fit into a category: Nightwatcher: Night Stormfather: Wind Sibling: Rock

While they say they needed Melishi, I suspect they actually just needed someone with a strong enough Connection and understanding of BAM to imprison her (like we saw with Dalinar and Nergaoul). The implication being that Melishi did have that Connection (or was able to forge it with his Bondsmith abilities).

Wind and Truth Chapters 21 and 22 now available!
The Sovereign replied to BinarySecond's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Oh, I agree with this mostly. The best way to expand knowledge is share ideas freely. And there is ALWAYS value in adding new perspectives. Either they will bring about new lines of thought or they will reinforce your beliefs; In either case there is merit. With that said, not every idea the pops up warrants exploration and when people "shoot from the hip" without any personal vetting of their ideas they dilute the things people are talking about. Spending time on poorly thought out or obviously and easily disproven theories takes away from the many many good and well thought out theories on here. There is this too. -
Wind and Truth Chapters 21 and 22 now available!
The Sovereign replied to BinarySecond's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Haha, if pressed it would probably be Odium. Not to belittle people's ideas, but in general I think people need to ask themselves two simple questions before they dive down the rabbit hole of their theories; First, does this make sense logically? And second, is this too convoluted to be good storytelling? Not that Brandon can't get lost in the sauce like anyone else, but the way he outlines and plans typically makes anything too convoluted unlikely to be right. A couple of recent examples: The Stormfaker theories just break down in the faces of logic and storytelling. On the hand, the Chanarach is Shallan's mother and is the Herald who broke this time around theories make sense both narratively and logically. -

This is the WoB you are referring to: This one further proves Lirin isn't Tanavast as Tanavast is from Yolen: -
I suspect people are way overthinking this; It seems far more likely to me that he doesn't call Alethi people "Name-Son/Daughter-Name" because he doesn't know peoples' parents' names. Keep in mind the Shin refer to themselves as "Name-Son/Daughter-Name" (I.E. Szeth-Son-Neturo, Neturo-Son-Vallano, Ali-Daughter-Hasweth, etc.). He is very likely calling Kaladin "Kaladin-Son-Lirin" because he has met Lirin and knows he is Kaladin's father. The "Name-Son/Daughter-Name" format is just the standard address of the Shin people.

Does Marsh have Feruchemical Bronze?
The Sovereign replied to JustQuestin2004's question in Cosmere Q&A
We have some circumstantial evidence that Marsh has F-Aluminum; In Era 2 When Wax asks him about how he avoids notice so well he says he uses emotional Allomancy and Wax expresses doubt that alone is what he is doing. If he is storing Identify as well, then he would become much less noticeable in a crowd. I think it is reasonable to assume he has gained more spikes since the Catacendre.- 11 replies

Keep in mind the Vessels could be in sync while the Powers were not. Also, there are several references to Honor kind of losing it around the end. I suspect he was mostly being overtaken by the Power/Intent. Think of an Elderly couple with one person suffering from Alzheimer's or Dementia; There is a point where the person isn't really themself anymore. If Tanavast hit that point, then Koravellium may have felt she had to act.

This seems unlikely since "Ala" is the Aon for Beauty/Handsomeness. Presumably the Skaze would be named whatever Fjordell character is at their core, not after an Aon.
