  1. As far as I know, this would fall into the category of "based on how we know other things work (like Bloodmaking for example), we can say with reasonable certainty that...". However, this is the first official confirmation we have had that Returning would restore the body in this way.
  2. @Yata Your are correct, their color is Garnet, not red.I think the confusion here is a result of Garnet being equivocated to Red. Garnet is really more of a Brownish red color.
  3. Apparently, I am not the only one who tried and failed to add text shadows since the update. Upvote for you señor.
  4. You are correct, Rock is an Alaii’iku which is why he can see Spren. It is implied that there are other Horneaters who can see Spren but Rock notes that it is special so I'd guess it is uncommon. He also says that he was born with the ability. My best guess is that as a result of the Horneater Peaks close proximity to a Perpendicularity there was a change to the Horneater people's sDNA and that is passed down genetically similar to Allomancy and Feruchemy on Scadrial.
  5. The internal metals may well have the most physical effect on the Allomancer, however becoming a savant of any metal alters their s-DNA which can have all kinds of interesting effects on them.
  6. I suspect that Chull # 445 is correct here, although only in part. I would guess that Cusicesh was at one point on the same level but was "killed" by its Radiant and its current state is the result. Also, not related but I didn't see this WoB in the thread and it is pretty important to the subject as a whole:
  7. Change is overrated. That failed experiment is over. Anyways... more Lunker.
  8. Because nit-picking is fun; Brandon didn't actually start this, this was a favorite tool of Robert Jordan and Brandon adopted it. As for RAFO scenarios: Why did Vin feel uncomfortable around Hoid in Hero of Ages and not approach him for information.
  9. Something about any press is good press? *If you are wondering if this post was an excuse to use a gif of Christoph Waltz... Yes, yes it was. The man is a treasure.
  10. @Delightful, when did you become Moraine (excellent choice by the way).
  11. I've been in that boat from the beginning as well. Warbreaker was actually my introduction to Sanderson. The only other work by him that I hold in similar regards is The Gathering Storm. With that said, you have earned this badge, wear it proudly, or don't, whichever is cooler.
  12. I have been meaning to read Kingkiller Chronicle, I really liked Rothfuss' short story "The Lightning Tree". Thanks for the suggestions I'll probably read that next. Thanks for the suggestion! As for Warbreaker, it is actually my favorite of Sanderson's work and near the top of the list of my all time favorite books in general. I have all of Sanderson's work except for Alcatraz as I could never really get into the first book.
  13. I just finished my 4th re-read of the Wheel of Time. Now I do not know what to do with my time. I think I might re-read Stormlight as I haven't in a while (I think I last read it just before Shadows of Self came out). I was planning on starting something new after WoT but now I'm kind of feeling something familiar, thoughts?
  14. The new Chandra is really really good.
  15. This is actually along the lines of how Mystic has held all of the Gyms (more or less) near where I live. We set the first two stages of the Gym with really weak Pokemon so you can quickly train the gym level up and then stages 3-10 get real Pokes. You can load a gym up to level 5-6 like this in about 20 minutes. The trick is you just need a group of 5 or 6 to initially take the gym.
  16. Life sucks and then you die? Time heals all wounds? Some other nonsense phrase that doesn't help? In all seriousness, (without spoilers) Just push forward, it is worth it. Some extremely satisfying things happen as a result.
  17. Relevant WoB:
  18. Yeah, I was a little salty about it... Fortunately, it would have been my 2nd Dragonite (I had previously evolved one) so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Then again, The one I evolved is CP 1872 and the one I encountered was over CP 2100 so that kind of sucked... I nickname most of my Pokemon, I don't actually have any Cosmere based names though. I should change that.
