  1. I thought so, mucho gracias ^^ It seems BFZ is aiming for decks with more than just 2-3 colours in mind. Lotsa potential but I just can't seem to settle of themes >.< Something else if you could. The BFZ sorcery March from the Tomb returns any number of target ally creature cards with total CMC 8 or less from your graveyard to battlefield. I'm understanding it in two ways; any ally with CMC 8 or less gets returned to the battlefield or; the cards returned cannot exceed 8 CMC combined? i.e. 4 cards with 2CMC or 2 cards with 4 CMC etc. etc.?
  2. Also true. I wonder if the Heralds can reincarnate/rebirth/regenerate themselves after splintering the Oathpact now. Taln perhaps can but should one of the others pop their clogs could that be it?
  3. As I said, I believe Domi to originally the in-world Jindoese (possibily MaiPon too) perception of both shards combined . After all, Shu-Keseg preached Unity (perhaps what Devotion and Dominion were when working together) It was only those who interpreted that concept differently do we now have Shu-Korath and Shu-Dereth, through love and control respectively.
  4. Or perhaps those combinations are applied through a different magic system. After all the Surges just forces.
  5. Whoa, maxal, steady on. We're still only 2 books in and the 3rd isn't going to be released till likely just over a year from now and the other 3 probably not for another 4-6 years depending on Brandon's working speed. He said at least one viewpoint would be likely be from a dead person, not all of them and I seem to recall there will be a timegap between the two arcs. Just because some characters aren't primary viewpoints it doesn't mean they won't be prominent characters in the books. It is an epic fantasy after all so I for one do expect it to be possible that characters we have so invested ourselves to perhaps meet their end at some point in the story. (I do get where you're coming from but we're talking about events that are still likely to change, if only a little bit, and are about probably between 6-9 years away, depending how long a break Brandon takes between the blocks) so it is still marginally early for uber harsh judgement just yet
  6. Well Saze says at some point in TFE/WOA how if you keep tapping a coppermind for a memory, eventually that memory degrades even when you store it. So perhaps burning the coppermind could either resharpen/touch up those memories enough for you to make a fresh coppermind or allow for a highly detailed sharpening or immersively vivid 3D reliving of a particular memory, like how that scene in Continuum where Kira uses her suit's technology to recreate a whole crime scene to near 100% accuracy. EDIT: spelling
  7. It's kinda funny as reading from the Aon descriptions on theoryland, Aon Omi (Domi's root) means/represents benevolence and love. Seeing as Devotion's and Dominion holders were called Aona/Skai, and from the following text, you could argue that Domi is a fusion of the two, especially as most of Selish cultural influences originate with the Jindoese From TL: http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=768#9
  8. As TA said, the four circles represent the gate cities but those cities are also named after the Aons for the cardinal directions. (Kae is East IIRC)
  9. In the 3 month gap between finishing secondary school and starting college, my B grade GCSE went to non existent. Sometimes i struggle to remember that 2+2 = 4...or 5, i forget x) Seriously, if had time to go over all the stuff I learnt at school again, I'd happily help but this looks like Rocket Science. In my day we just had simple sums >.>
  10. "....but Twi.....we're all in this together!" <cue Hoid doing the dance moves with his very own music video> ...I'm sorry...i'll go back to my MTG now, seriously got to get my head in the game I'll stahp, seriously this time. After all, you can't be in the act breaking free from the sadness if you can't bop to the top or if you stick to the status quo ...I'll leave..like right now xD
  11. Interesting thought I had over in the Frost topic; The start of the Second Letter has 'Frost' say to Hoid "Have you given up on the gemstone, now that it is dead?" and I was trying to think about all the notable times we've seen Hoid near gemstones/jewels (apart from Roshar) and I was thinking back to TES and the moon sceptre and we aren't provided with a description of what it looks. We know the Sceptre and/or Moon Rock are involved with the proximity problem via http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/27189-why-is-hoid-on-sel/?p=273476 this post so i'm theorising that the gemstone in question is in the moon sceptre (Crackpot theory; If the sceptre actually has a gem, it could actually be a Dawnshard given their capability of binding any creature 'voidish or mortal' which i translate to anything Invested and the thing that is bound could be comparable to a splinter of Devotion and Dominion at godspren level.) An interesting question to ask would be if pre-Shard death, did Selish folk suffer from distance decay
  12. When your mum shows you a video from your family whatsapp convo that your sister's boyfriend filmed of either a Segestria or Ariadna Tube Dwelling Spider in between two bricks baring its rather large fangs (he hates spiders for the record, but he was so fascinated he had to get proof)
  13. I have finally finished all my assessment work so now I can properly focus on Sharding, MTG and relaxing (with food included ofc) ^^
  14. I'm of neither joy nor distaste for the TV show at the moment. I will watch it on release but my interest has been slowly waning. Not really too sure why though
  15. Have an upvote, cause this is pure brilliant! I like it, although i have a few different views on the Tones. I'm guessing it was definitely a Herald. We know one went back for their blade but do we know if they were actually able to take it/it actually was taken? If it is Nin who had a part in it, then perhaps he went back for his blade but couldn't retrieve it so he had to find a way to get another. There are similarities between the Shardworlds as most of the language originates on Yolen so it could be possible that Rosharan cultural influences were brought over if the connection between the Ardentia and Austre monks is legit.
  16. There is a WoB either on the AMA or Theoryland that clears it up, or the AMA expands on it, one sec. From the AMA topic; http://www.reddit.co...a8e9x?context=3 EDIT: Do we have a timeframe of when Rock saw Hoid coming out pool to the start of the main story? And has it been answered exactly as to what place/world Hoid was coming from when he exited?
  17. True. I'm toying with ideas at the minute but until i see the fat pack companion booklet for the full card display, I'm not really settling on any themes yet. The wait is killing me >.< and i can;t even go to a pre-release EDIT: One of the main things I like about the eldrazi is that quite a few of the effects happen on cast and not just enter/exit the battlefield, taking Oblivion Sower for example; the effect still happens even if it is countered....unless I'm understanding that completely wrong. And green white black Ally deck looks pretty storming appealing right now. Another question: if you cast a spell from exile, does it stay exiled and can you cast it multiple times or would the card text have to say that for it to happen?
  18. It isn't covered yet but two of the most likely possibilities are; equal percentage/an alloy of Lerasium and Atium (or possibly Harmonium, the former case being part of an agreement/experiment between Pres/Ruin) Someone's idea from the AMA (possibly yours Yata, i can't remember) about what would happen if the imbalance of innate Preservation and Ruin was corrected through the addition of Ruin. (possibly through a non-allomancer Scadrian ingesting Atium)
  19. Void Winnower if you get that out quite early...and then Hexproof it...Eldrazi man, broken as colours I'm not particular keen on the Converge mechanic
  20. I might do that actually. I'll probably swap Dreadwaters or a Psychic intrusion. I'm tempted to make another mill dead based around Defender creatures combined with Phenax, Doorkeeper off the top of my head
  21. I'm aware there are the unpublished works to consider, but given their unofficial nature, anything written in them i take with a pinch of salt.
  22. That and from what little we saw of Ym, he seemed to fit more of the Truthwatcher profile and an Edgedance one
  23. Indeedy to both. Can't beat lightly salted Doritos and salsa *drools* Although fish and chips (fries) would go down a treat too
  24. My Mill deck as it stands, is something like this: 22 lands 15 Islands 7 swamps 19 Instants/Sorceries 4 Tome Scour 4 Mind Sculpt 2 Talent of the Telepath 2 Traumatise 2 Psychic Intrusion 1 Dreadwaters 1 Thassa's Bounty 1 Mind Grind 10 Creatures 4 Mnemonic Wall 4 Wall of Frost 1 Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker 1 Oblivion Sower 9 Other 2 Sphinx's Tutelage 1 Jace's Sanctum 1 Skywise Teachings 1 Jace, Memory Adept 1 Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver 2 Tormod's crypt 1 Grindclock Considerations Swapping the Mnemonic Walls for Archeomancers Psychic Intrusion I might swap for more Talents, I'm not quite sure yet Swapping dreadwaters for either another Thassa's Bounty or something else Swapping back in some Divinations It looked very different not too long ago. I used to have a bigger creature count (Phenax, Returned Phalanx and Returned Centaurs to name a few)
