  1. Now...I'm terrible at hunting down WoBs and the such...but... I don't think TLR actually created allomancy, he just because aware of what Lerasium would do and how allomancy worked. This is evidenced by the fact that Elendi either was a seeker, or the earring that he wore (which were H-spikes) granted him allomantic bronze. Correct me if I'm wrong...
  2. Maybe it turn you into a Seer? Although, Lerasium already does that and then some...hhhhmmmm....probably not...
  3. Here's a question...we are shown that when a feruchemist stores identity, and then stores a different trait, they create an "unkeyed" metalmind that can be used by anyone who is already able to use that specific feruchemical trait. i.e. Wax holds an "unkeyed" goldmind and can't use it...but when he gives it to Wayne, Wayne can tap the health stored within. So...Is a feruchemist creates and "unkeyed" goldmind, then an auger swallows some of it...can they compound the health stored within?
  4. I'm not going to grant you a boon or bane...just an upvote for the Hitchhiker's references.
  5. Sorry for the double post, but upvote to natc...why?...for agreeing with me. This is my theory exactly. Also, consider the potential application of a pewter arm who is also a bloodmaker. Even if it doesn't help you store health THAT much faster... While burning pewter, you are stronger, faster, more resilient to damage, can stay on your feet even when horribly injured, heal marginally faster, and can all but ignore physical pain. Now imagine if that same individual can simultaneously heal the injuries that didn't stop them in the first place.
  6. BoM spoilers: To me, this would represent a particularly dangerous type of individual. Not necessarily a super soldier, but a really powerful ring leader.
  7. So, I've always really liked the idea of a seeker who hunts allomancers, and is well versed in the art of Hazekilling (using specialized weapons and tactics for fighting). After reading BoM, I got the idea to take it a bit further, a twinborn who has A-bronze and F-aluminum. BoM spoiler:
  8. Sweet...there is one close by me. Totally going to go and pick one up. Thanks Argent...upvote...
  9. There has been a lot of conversation about the "two figures striding the storm." but very few conclusions have been reached. It is my personal belief that we are seeing two of the unmade, making their way toward Narak.
  10. Congratulations! You are either: A. Fired from your job! or B. Expelled from school! You now have all the time in the world to celebrate the risen dead! (this is actually your bane...) I wish for the box set of Walking Dead episodes to help me celebrate Easter!
  11. Yo! Welcome to the shard! can't help you with the art stuff...but looking forward to seeing some of your in the future. Have an upvote for being new. P.S. Good luck with the grandiose verbosity...I challenge you to keep it up through all of your posts.
  12. “To be one's self, and unafraid whether right or wrong, is more admirable than the easy cowardice of surrender to conformity.” ― Irving Wallace If you enjoy doing these things, nothing should dissuade you. However, if you are doing them only because you feel like you should...that is one of the worst reasons to do anything. That being said...I honestly have no idea what you are talking about...but have an upvote!
  13. Both look creepy until you realize what they're for...and then just the probosci is creepy. Lopen the one armed Herdazian is like me listening to someone discuss a certain presidential candidate is a positive way.
  14. Use the ability to read lips combined with burning atium to finish someone's sentences ALL THE TIME. Pick one individual you don't like so much at work or school and only do it to them...but do it every time they speak.
  15. I have been living this hell for years...not so much with the newer films...but still...not much difference. As the definition of "good" in open to interpretation, you have really rainy weather for a few days, then it will snow a bit, then some sunshine and warm temps that turn the snow into mud... For your bane...you have to read a book written by donald trump...they do exist. I wish for someone who has read a book written by donald trump to send me a PM listing it's title and describing it's content.
  16. Instead of growing his arm back...Lopen should have used the stick as a prosthetic...
  17. The main villain turn out to be the father of the main character. You have to name the main character Luke. i wish for someone to apologize to you, for me.
  18. It's an idea that has been tossed around before...but I just don't think that it fits just right. While hoid in definitely a VERY important figure in the comsere...I don't think that he's and embodiment of adonalsium.
  19. I have recently started adopting some healthier habits, and getting rid of some unhealthy ones...my main reason is that I became a father almost 2 years ago...and have another child on the way...but my secret second reason for my turn towards a healthier lifestyle is that I want to live long enough to finish the cosmere! I've also been considering starting a go fund me page to hire Brandon a personal trainer and nutrition expert!
  20. I'm almost certain that Brandon says, No Listener has ever been a radiant before, but it's not impossible for it to happen. More or less. One of the idea that I'm really fixated on, is the idea that some form of hemalurgy exists for every magic system. I think that Oversleep may be onto something with fabrial = hemalurgy. I feel that people tend to misinterpret the statement about hemalurgy existing for all magic systems as meaning that you can use an Atium spike to steal any ability from any person, on any world, and stick it in yourself, or someone else. Bear in mind that the focus of magic on Scadrail is metal, so it makes sense that hemalurgy would opeate using metal as the mechanism...but it could be totally different from world to world.
  21. Iron: Feruchemy - combined with allomantic steel and pewter, this makes a deadly combination, and is really useful by itself Steel: Allomancy - while super speed would be great, this is one of those powers that is totally unique, nothing else really grants the well rounded trio of usefulness. Steelsight, flight, offenside / defensive pushing. Tin: Feruchemy, I like the idea of the separate senses being used as opposed to the all at once version with allomancy. Pewter: Allomancy, again, the full package of human enhancement is way better than turning super bulky. I also have a hunch about allomantic pewter working really well with some of the feruchemal powers...mostly gold. Given the option to only have 4 powers, I would take 3 of these with F-gold instead of F-tin. As others have pointed out, the combination of a Crasher/Thug sounds wicked, and adding the ability to heal just inceases the wickedness. Since I can get the F-gold also, adding supersenses to the package just seems unfair. Zinc: Feruchemy, see below... Brass: Allomancy, the way I figure it, you really only need one of the two emotional allomantic powers, and I'd rather have the feruchemal power to store mental speed vs warmth. Copper: Feruchemy, since I'm going with allomancy below, I've got myself covered on the "other allomancers" thing...any hey...who doesn't want to have a great memory? Bronze: Allomancy, if all you guys (an presumably others) are throwing around allomancy, I wanna know about it I think that increased mental speed coupled with A-brass would be a great combo...especially when adding the enhanced senses of tin...being able to observe better and think harder about using A-brass would make you a much better soother. I think that A-bronze would also couple really well with F-zinc. For the F-copper, the first thing I would memorize would be how to make all of my own viable metals. Cadmium: Feruchemy, while there are a lot of uses for allomantic cadmium, I can see even more for the feruchemal side...particularly when paired with allomantic peweter. Bendalloy: Feruchemy, while far an by one of the least flashy of the F-powers, I just want to be able to go camping for weeks in the back country with out carrying tons of food and water. Plus, coupled with F-Cadmium and A-pewter, being able to stay perfectly hydrated, nourished AND oxygenated while on a pewter drag would probably be pretty boss... Gold: Feruchemy for sure...I am convinced that you can use A-pewter to cheat with this one...and even if you can't, still way more useful that being and Auger... Electrum: Allomancy, I'm a little weak on this decision, but basically so I don't have to worry about and Seers...plus I've picked feruchemy for the other 3 temporal/hybrid powers... F-cadmium, bendalloy, and gold would all work really well with A-pewter. Even if you can't use the A-pewter to store more of these traits, the combination of being able to tap these qualities while burning pewter would midigate some of the dangers that A-pewter presents. Chromium: Allomancy, mosty because it would be great for any seeker...and also because I don't really know what the cost of storing luck would be Nicrosil: Feruchemy, now I'm not sure about this one...but it seems like it would give you the ability to make the fuel for your powers interchangeable...maybe I'm wrong...but that's the idea. Aluminum: Feruchemy...for sure..."Here...now you can do neat stuff too!!!" instead of..."Now I can't do anything" Duraluminum: Allomancy, while we don't yet know a great deal about the possible F-applications of this, it's something that any allomancer should have in their pocket...especially with my A-brass...and how many of you are using spikes... Atium: Hemalurgy, I had to think for a long time about this one...I think I would use it to spike myself with F-Atium. It would be my only spike, making a very small flaw to exploit, and I would be able to use my spike as an in grown metalmind for age. If I'm thinking right, while F-atium is a zero gain power, being able to use the investiture from other powers to store more youth could extend your life significantly without compounding.
  22. I have this really long analogy that I use to describe savantism to friends who are not into the cosmere. I'm not going to repeat the whole thing. But... Using allomancy is like flowing water. The more you use it, the more it erodes the ground, the more water can flow. Eventually a ditch becomes a river and can move incredible amounts of water...however...where a few tens of gallons of water a minute fills the ditch, only a few tens of gallons a minute seems like a bare trickle in a river.
  23. up votes green...down votes red.
  24. Now...I don't have anything solid to back this up...but I get the feeling that he is not a kandra. I get the impression that he is actually from Scadrail, and his role in the mistborn books is straight forward. When he shows up in WoR, it's much more discreet...it seems like Brandon was trying to hide him...i.e. he doesn't belong there.
