I'm not sure where you got this. Can you provide support? WoB or something... Didn't Wayne get shot by an aluminum bullet and heal? As for the actual discussion...I'm not sure who would win. As many people have pointed out, there are a lot of variables. I'd have to assume that we were talking about a wind runner...because we haven't really seen a lot of combat action from other orders... That being the case, I'd put my money on mistborn.

Triple compounding tin maybe? It's one of those weird ones where the powers line up perfectly well. Allomantic tin increases senses, feruchemal tin stores individual senses, and a tin hemalurgic spike would steal human senses... So, you would have the ability to make an infinite supply increased senses, the ability to burn uninfused tin to increase your senses, and you would be starting off with improved senses to begin with. ...on top of that...you would have a built in tin mind.

Well...hemalurgic spikes charged with allomantic and feruchemal powers would be worth a pretty penny. -
This is true...

New character in Edgedancer [Edgedancer Spoilers]
hoidhunter replied to WeeDunadan's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah...I thought about this. Admittedly not the part about deinvesting radiants, but I was wondering if a Larkin being part of a horde would allow the sleepless to somehow use storm light? The whole "ancient magics returned" quote from the back cover springs to mind... maybe by having a Larkin as part of their body, a sleepless can use investiture, but they can only get it from a surgebinder, not from highstorms or gemstones...making them investiture parasites, or symbiotes, depending on how polite they are. This would be a reason why they may be regaining access to powers previously lost. With no surgebinders around to draw from, they would have no source of investiture. Now that the Knights radiant are returning, so can their magics. if this is the case...I would bet that our two fledgling sky breakers may not be dead...and have a grim fate awaiting them. (Hence the cocooning) it would also be a good reason for them to work alongside the Knights radiant...access to magical powers, and all they have to do is ask... i know this all pretty thin...just spitballing... -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted. As there are no obstructions to you firing them (including your own hesitation) you become responsible for the attempted extermination of all life on the planet. Fortunately all missiles are safely intercepted and you are imprisoned for life. For your bane...Brandon knows that you are responsible for this and makes sure that you never get to read another word of anything he writes. i wish for any person attempting violent action to immediatly experience the sensation of being kicked in the genitals, stomach and face at the same time. -
Where to they get more Parshmen from?

They bump uglies like anyone else...just...all slow, and dumb like. Parshwoman slaves are given 4-6 weeks of family leave time after the parshbaby is born...just like Americans. -
Why Mistborn or Full Feruchemists did not have "mixing effects"?
hoidhunter replied to Oversleep's question in Cosmere Q&A
Well...ok...we re looking for something different then. And...we don't have any information to go on. But...Brandon does tend to do some very clever things with foreshadowing. So I wouldn't be surprised if there have been hints. Maybe it's something that has been right there the whole time. What about Wax's unexplained ability to gain strength from the mists? THe ability to ignore his injuries and be rejuvenated by the mists in AoL was so strong that several sharders even speculated that Wax's earring might give him access to A pewter. We have it on good authority now that he cannot burn pewter...but he does seem to get a boost from being in the mists that goes beyond the phycological. As someone else in this thread pointed out...there may also be some instance of these effects applying to mistborn as well, since they also blend different specific powers. The two mistborn we get a chance to see close up both describe something similar to this. Kelsier time and again reiterates that the mists give the mistborn strength. Maybe the blending of allomantic and feruchemical powers makes this more pronounced in some way. While other twin born don't experience the same thing (that we know of)...wax, kelsier, and vin are the only characters we've gotten insight into that have access to both steel and iron without the use of hemalurgy. -

Why Mistborn or Full Feruchemists did not have "mixing effects"?
hoidhunter replied to Oversleep's question in Cosmere Q&A
Well...pardon me if this has already been addressed...I kind of breezed over some of the posts in the middle...but if believe that mistborn DO produce additional effects as a result of being able to use all of the powers. It usually isn't pointed out because so many of the people who are allomancers have only one...and the others have all (16...10...whatever) a good example is spook. He is the only character we get a good look at who has only two allomantic powers...and paired allomantic powers at that. As a tin savant, he has access to incredible amounts of sensory data...but suffers debilitating side effects as a result. When he gains the power to use pewter...he is able to ignore many of the negative side effects of his heightened senses...essentially boosting the power of his tin even further. If something as subtle as this counts...then we can point out several others that appear in a mistborn. When steel pushing or iron pulling...the allomancers puts actual physical stress on their body. I would assume that an ordinary coinshot would find themselves at a disadvantage when squaring off against someone who could use both steel and pewter. Even if the coinshot weighed twice as much as the other...the person with the use of pewter would be able to brace their body against, or hold onto, a much heavier anchor to win a pushing match without breaking their sternum (or whatever happens when a coinshot pushed too hard for their body to handle it). We also see this with Vins use of duralumin. She would never be able to survive performing a duralumin enhanced push without also enhancinher body with pewter. Heck, it could be argued that duralumin itself is another way that the powers mix. After all...someone who can only burn duralumin can't really do much...it takes the blending of an additional allomantic power WITH duralumin to produce any noticible effect. If we had a pet mistborn we could maybe experiment a little and try to find some others. Who knows what would happen if you burned gold, then started soothing your gold shadow. Or how using tin so monitor someone's pulse could make rioting the right emotions a lot easier. -
Thanks...btw...to our OP...I'm pretty sure a sea wolf is a pirate. You're not from Erie are you?

I've answered this question many times in posts...but...that's ok...because I think about it daily anyway. for the cosmere, gotta go with seeker, soulbearer. in a world were anyone could have superpowers, being able to identify and scrutinize those people without their knowledge would be pretty awesome. I'm totally with Marsh when he talks about how it's the most under appreciated of the allomantic powers. Intelligence is a real game changer...the more you know...the bigger advantage you have. By using feruchemy to store, and later use allomantic strength, you would be one of the only people alive who could pierce copper clouds. I'm also guessing that this would add range and sensitivity to your detection...making it easier to do all the things that Marsh talks about it taking years of practice to master...and possibly pushing the boundaries into doing some really crazy, seeker oriented things. Could you identify potential allomancers who haven't even snapped yet? Could you be the first seeker to ever detect a feruchamist tapping? Could you identify Kandra? For real life...I'm assuming that this means that there are no other metal born around...which would make being an awesome seeker kind of unfortunate. I've spent a lot of time pondering over the usefulness of different powers. And really...almost any of them would be awesome. One that I'm really curious about though...is what a tin compounder would be able to do. We get a good look at the power of tin pushed to extremes with spook. I'm more than a little curious what could be done when those powers were pushed even farther...and made a little more dynamic...while removing some of the nasty side effects of savantism. In theory...you would have unlimited access to enhancing any or all of your senses to absurd levels by tapping tin minds. You could, at the same time, burn tin, which would take their sensitivity even farther, while also granting you the ability to ignore unwanted sensory input. Imagine being able to eavesdrop on conversations taking place on private jets flying overhead. Or read the serial numbers of orbital satellites. Tell if someone had cancer by how they smell. Or predict earthquakes by touch.

So...a few things... first...colors gets up votes for making me laugh for like 10 minutes...I never realized just how silly it is that the lord ruler has a swivel chair in his secret room. Seriously...if you remember, he actually made that room while he was still ascended. So...he could have literally made it ANY kind of chair he could imagine. "And for my last act as a demigod...squeaky office chair." Second, Ana gets an upvote for posting my answer before I could do it. If it weren't for Felt, Elend would never have ended up with Vin...world would have ended. That's without even addressing the fact that there is apparently much more to him than meets the eye. My very first post on the 17th shard was actually because I noticed something unusual about Felt. third...for the sake of posting an original answer...the two most under appreciated characters are the two skaa who run out of the crowd and impale the lord ruler. Not only do they have spheres the size of chulls...so to speak...but they accidentally create the symbol for the church of the survivor for hundreds of years to come...and are never named.

You now have the ability, to give people the ability, to grow their hair and nails really fast. Using it drives people insane. You also have to live by yourself on the international space station. you bane is that zero g makes you really nauseous, and you will never get used to it. i wish to own a significant share in all barber shops, nail salons, and physiatrist offices, globally. -
Well...we know that the shifts in its geography are caused by the highstorms...I wanna say that roshar lacks any tectonic activity...but I'm not 100% on that.

Something just barley on topic that I found interesting...in dalinar's feverstone keep vision...it seems that the winter has lasted more than 4 months...apparently much longer than usual for current Roshar. I wonder what exactly caused the change....or if this is just a LONG time ago.

theory Hoid is very upset about something
hoidhunter replied to Farnsworth's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Not to discredit the theory...but i'd guess that Hoid could probably wrangle up some bourbon or something if he wanted to. He does have the magical ability to find his way to the right place at the right time...I assume that could be used to find a liquor store while it's open. Just sayin'.... -
right...basically it lets you see areas of potential lethal danger using an illusion of your corpse. If you were walking down a path with a land mind up ahead, you would suddenly see your partially blown apart corpse in the trail ahead, and he able to figure out the danger. It just lets you know that certain decisions will get you killed. I imagine that the bird coupled with a-electrum would create a result like atium. Also, it seems that one of the big caps on a sand masters mobility is being powerful enough to move their bodyweight. Being able to reduce that would expand your mobility to a large degree. Instead of using jets of sand to leap about, in big pushes, you could move yourself around like the head of a big sand snake.

Granted...that planner is a 400lb, 39 year old man named waldo who farts ALL THE TIME, is always chuckling to himself about something on his phone, has tons of food allergies, and gets around on one of those hover board things...you cannot go anywhere without him...he is however incredibly organized an effecient and works tirelessly to maintain your calendar. I wish for the rights to a sitcom about your relationship with him.
