  1. I think we will see Lift but it'll probably just be another interlude. Which might not be a bad thing I don't want to learn to much about her before her book comes out. Also I think a few chapters or at least an interlude on Jasnah and another for Renarin wouldn't be a bad thing ether since at this point all we know about them is a few paragraphs of preview that Brandons given us on Jasnah and the prologue for words of Radiance.

Yea at this point I doubt it would be good for much more then talking to Sazed but even then conversing with a god is a pretty handy ability.
  3. You're welcome. I'm thinking of writing about the other semifinal game where the Radiants take on the Awakeners/the Returned. I just cant decide whose side Nightblood will be on. Give me a little while and I'll come up with something. Edit: OK I am having way to much fun writing this.
  4. Well I've been looking for a guild for a while now and I do love root beer... sign me up
  5. I'm a bit torn here right now I'd lean towards Szeth just because he's the one that I was expecting. But Estonia could be very interesting as well and I would love to see her break Odiums control and try to save her people plus we still don't know what went down that night between the Parshendi delegation and Galivar but I can wait one more book for that. Right now I want to see what Szeth can really do.
  6. I can see this game taking shape 1st Announcer: "Well folks things have not been going well for the epics since the second half began and after getting just beat down in a brutal tackle by a Koloss the epics quarterback Steelheart got angry and turned the field and everything on it to steel". 2nd Announcer: "Yes that wouldn't be a problem normally but against a team like the Allomancers you just cant make a mistake like that and expect to get away with it. they've had to watch their lead dwindle and now they only lead by one touchdown but with just a few minutes to go we'll see if they can hang on". 1st Announcer: "And the ball is snapped to Steelheart who fly's at the goal but wait Kelsier pulls the ball away from him and takes off pulling himself towards the other end of the field and, ohhhh Phaedrus takes him out with a brilliant flying tackle the ball is fumbled and it's picked up by Vin but before she can lash herself out of the way Obliteration appears and grabs it out of her hands and ouch she's been burned to a crisp and it looks like that'll be it folks unless a miracle occurs here once obliteration materializes the Epics will be to far ahead for the Allomancers to catch up and we see Elend crying out to her but she's not responding". 2nd Announcer: "Hold on a second what's going on the mists seem to be entering Vins body whats happening... her body it just melted away and Obliteration Appeared over the touchdown zone but he's not landing what on Scadrial is happening here"? 1st Announcer: "He's moving towards the Epics goal he can't seem to teleport away and none of the other epics can seems to even stop him. the ball is pulled out of his hands by Elend who runs, he's at the 30 the 20 the 10 Touchdown!" 2nd Announcer: "It's Preservation, Vin's ascended!". 1st Announcer: "Oh the epics are in for it now they're away from home and can't call on calamity to save them from this one". 2nd Announcer: And with a gods help they easily make the two point conversion and will advance to the Cosmere bowl were they'll face the Radiants for the championship.
  7. Of course if he turned the ball to steel then Vin or Elend could just push and pull the ball around to get it up the field for a touchdown. and any lurcher on the opposite team could always get an interception. On a side note Cosmere sports is an awesome idea why didn't anyone think of this before?
  8. When you try to get a friend to read Stomlight archive by telling him a few tidbits about the books... and twenty minutes latter you've told him the complete background story for the Cosmere.
  9. When your biggest achievement for the past week is finally having one of your topics become hot, hooray for compounding.
  10. The one thing that got me was when he says "worship Trell and wait". I'm starting to wonder if he was just being delusional or if the Trelagists might not have been as wrong as the other 300 or so religions in the path? Do we have any words of Brandon regarding this? I think it's possible that another shard could be headed to Scadrial and miles was just the first to see/feel/be influenced by its coming.
  11. Oh didn't think of that maybe that's why Brandon chose to set the book in Atlanta, it's where the whole mess began or something.
  12. Of course I spend forever looking through all the old threads going back years to make sure that I'm the first person to have this idea and I miss the one that's on page one. How about we re purpose this to simply your favorite non cosmere quote?
  13. Pretty simple what quote from any character in any Sanderson book do you like the best. If some quotes show up enough I might start a poll. My personal favorite "My name is David Charleston. I kill people with superpowers"
  14. I'll say Vasher, every time he was present in the story I started thinking to myself oh boy something awesome is going to happen soon and he didn't disappoint.
  15. Um I don't mean to derail all the crazy speculation here but is it possible that the common cold simply doesn't exist on Roshar (till now anyway) and the people simply had no resistance to the virus. on another note this could cause problems once the worlds in the Cosmer start linking up in later books.
  16. I've had the WOR cover as my background since it was released.
  17. Granted you also get every bane. I wish my paycheck was bigger.
  18. My big three would be Straff Venture, Sadeas and Amaram. If I had to chose one though I'd say Straff Venture, as SmurfAquamarineBodies pointed out Sadeas does seem to genuinely care for his wife and Amaram is actually delusional enough to think he's doing the right thing. But Straff he doesn't care for anyone he sleeps around with every women he can just so he'll produce more mistings for him to use and he makes it clear that he cares nothing for any of them heck he even sets up a cruel joke were his son has to watch the women he just slept with get put down for no apparent reason other than to give him a laugh.
  19. On the subject of the whole set breading allomancers thing, I believe it was stated that TLR used some kind of fertility drugs on the Terris breeders during his reign. Tindwyl had dozens of children thanks to these drugs and I think Sazed said she often had triplets or quintuplets, this could dramatically speed up the Set's plans since even if they only have a few girls they can easily squeeze over a hundred children out of just the few that they have available now.
  20. I'm glad you posted this topic I've had a theory for lerasium alloys that I've been wanting to share but I never got around to it, lerasium alloys make people mistings . Think about it if pure lerasium turns you into a full mistborn then the alloys could have a similar effect a mixture of lerasium and tin could make someone a tin eye and lerasium and steel makes you a coinshot. I suspect that you could use these alloys to make super powered mistings that only had access to the best alomatic abilities and it would let you create easy compunders just give a ferring the bead and let them enjoy their infinite Feruchemic power.I don't really have any supporting WOB for this but it just seems to make sense and it would also mean that Brandon wouldn't have to come up with 16 more crazy powers for the lerasium alloy mistings.
  21. Every night before he goes to bed the bogeyman checks behind his bookshelf for Brandon Sanderson. The diamond in Brandon Sandersons wife's wedding ring perpetually glows with stormlight.
  22. I just pledged a hundred and twenty dollars for a set of 48 dice that I may never use in a game that I've been playing less and less. So worth it
  23. This is a really cool theory but there are some problems that Kal might get into having so many squires First off will his going away at the end of WOR somehow weaken the bond and leave his barely formed squire army without the ability to use stormlight, probably not since he was separated from them for weeks during the march to the center of the plains and they were still able to draw in a little stormlight in the battle but who knows how long he's going to be gone for this time. Second will having so many squires weaken them, or can they all draw in the same amount of stormlight regardless of how many of them there are. Finally will this affect Syl in any way. Like I said above I think this is an awesome idea and it could potentially offset that the're are only a few knights to face the upcoming Desolation.
  24. Alright this is just an idea that's been floating around in my head, David turned down epic powers and he made a choice to do so. But Megan Implies that the universe of the Reconers follows the idea of infinite realities (not sure if that's the exact term) where each choice spawns an alternate reality where you made a different choice. but since Megan can reach into these different realities and draw them into her universe. My idea is that she could reach into a universe where David made the choice to become an epic and pull that version of him into their reality. If this is the case then might those other versions of David have different powers or maybe have become epics under different circumstances and what sort of affect would they have on our version of David?
  25. Granted because you aren't afraid of them you walk right up on a flock of angry emus and are kicked to death for disturbing them. I wish I didn't have a meeting to go to in an hour.
