Well revenge doesn't have to involve killing Roshone, there are plenty of things Kaladin could probably get away with doing like embarrassing him in front of everybody. preferably by doing something awesome like brutally slaughtering the Voidbringers while Roshone hides like a coward and then calling him out on it. or if that doesn't work I'm sure that he could convince Syl to let him at least scare the crap out of Roshone with his sharblade.

A theory that just popped into my head. What if access to the god surges are only granted by the Honorblades . At the start of the WOK Kalak says that they are treasures beyond even Shardblades but so far the only thing that they seem to do is use even more stormlight which would actually make them less useful so there must be another reason why they are considered stronger maybe the grant access to the god surges. I think it's possible however then you have the problem of why wasn't Szeth able to use them it could be that he was using the blade wrong or that he didn't know about the surges or maybe only the heralds can access these particular abilities.

The Mistings in the south are natural misting, they're far weaker and less common then the one's in the north who are descendant from Lerasium Mistborn.

That seems the most likely theory, that he's venting off the excess energy as Atium in order to keep himself in balance.

I am ashamed to say that I have yet to convert anyone (not for lack of trying) but after a long struggle I have managed to get some members of my family to read Steelheart and it is my firm hope that once I've got them hooked I can move them to other Sanderson series like Stromlight.

He can only be killed by someone who thinks he's a hero, kind of the opposite of Steelheart, that would be interesting. Actually I think his weakness is the unknown, things he doesn't understand, David says that he can see fear in Prof's eyes when his powers are turned against him and he has no idea how.

It probably doesn't help that in the U.S. everything must be measured and scored. A teacher who has gotten their students to read 100 books over the course of the school year will show up on paper as being worse than one who only got their students to read five books but had them turn in meaningless reports on each one that could be graded. Now I do understand that it is necessary to have some prof that the students actually read the book but instead of a simple summary or an in class discussion we were forced to do utterly meaningless reports that often seemed like they were completely unrelated to the actual book. Also on the actual topic of the thread I've finished my classes at college and am just finishing off the last hundred or so work hours left till I can be done for good... based on what I've seen of the real world so far, juries out on whether or not graduation is a good thing.

The semi good news here is that once they run out of ordinary people for their initial killing rampage they go after other epics I imagine that there was a devastating Epic war that destroyed out most of Asia soon after calamity rose.

Given that Brandon was able to make you a Mistborn or Feruchemist I would say that he's either Harmony or Adonalsium. Either way I wouldn't push my luck with him. Personally I'd pick Feruchemist but that's just because I wan't to tap Chromium during a lottery drawing.

I've been trying for ages to get my friends and family to read Sanderson but so far no one's interested. I even got my sister copies of both Steelheart and Firefight but she refuses to read them despite me constantly telling her how good they are. And then there's my mothers boyfriend who is a huge fantasy nut but I can't get him to read Mistborn or Stormlight despite me knowing he'd enjoy them. It probably doesn't help that my sales pitch was "be warned once you step into this universe... you aren't coming out".

It's weird that you should bring this up now, I've been listening to Walk the Moon - Shut Up and Dance with me and I keep thinking about how it reminds me of Vin and Elends dance. (if there is ever a Mistborn film someone make an AMV out of it please)

Don't forget that it was Sazed who told us about accessing another Feruchemist's metalminds. Coincidentally Sazed is now the guy who gets to decide what can and can't be done with allomancy and feruchemy, it's entirely possible he changed the rules.

I find it interesting that Brandon put in the bit at the end about sentient races, it makes me wonder if maybe a few of the shards are held by animals or plants. It would be hilarious if we reached the end of the story line and found out that Rayse was really a rat who bit Hoid at some point.

That wasn't Electrum, when Zane charged Vin he was already expecting her to doge in a certain way so he went in poised and ready for her to do this, by reading his body language Vin realized what he was expecting her to do this let her change what she was going to do and caused her Atium shadow to split.

I was an old Warcraft fan long before WOW came out, Orcs and Humans was my introduction to video games and if my computer could still play it I'd still be playing. the sequel managed to improve it even further while the third one had great story line but was a lot less fun from a gameplay perspective. And then there's Starcraft which I still think is the greatest RTS ever and the sequels were nothing to sneeze at either. Finally age of empires II which is a close second for best ever in my mind in fact I've probably spent more time playing this than any other game. Also Empire at war, while ground combat was a chore the space battles were Epic. The one thing that I didn't like was that Forces of Corruption gave us a sequel hook ending that Disney has said they won't be making. Still battlefront is getting a reboot so I can hold out hope.

there's a WOB somewhere that say's that in the south mistings are very rare but not unheard of. feruchemy however is unknown to them as are full mistborn. EDIT: Found the WOB, was wrong about feruchemy but yes mistborn are unknown
