  1. They're still at in the General Brandon section to arm to arms.
  2. Granted you have no idea how to make it work. I wish my internet wasn't so slow.
  3. Well I guess it's my duty to be the bearer of bad news we didn't win. Edit: (my reaction) WOR did take second but Deborah Harkness's The book of life beat us out for first with over 50,000 votes even though it had a far worse rating. Stormlight 2 barely got more than half that with 28,449. Fellow sharders let us remember this defeat and vote even more when Stones Unhallowed comes out.
  4. here's what I'd do, I would chose a shardblade cut my way thought the back wall of a pizza parlor steal a pie and run for it. then i'd have both problem solved.
  5. Well now it's only the second most random question I've seen here.
  6. Well I believe that the Horneaters ability to see spren probably comes more from their habit of bathing in shardpools then from their Parshendi ancestry, after all Shallan had a little Horneater blood but she can't see Syl. Although it could just be that her blood was diluted. As for when could these races have happened I would assume that it would either be from very early on in Roshars history before Odium showed up before the Parshendi became bloodthirsty monsters. Although it is possible that the Voidbringers engage in rape so I wouldn't say it's to much of a stretch for the races to have started that way. My next question is that if these Races are part Pashendi does that mean they could also be affected by odium?
  7. My question is does this mean that the Rithmatist 2 is now on the back burner? I know that Sanderson was aiming for spring 2016 with stones unhallowed so unless he's even faster a writer then I thought I'm unsure if he'll be able finish the second Rithmatist book and write the thousand pages of awesome that I expect from a Stormlight novel in just a few months.
  8. Even the almighty Nightwatcher cant solve your problems. But I can make your life a little better, take an upvote don't worry about the curse from the sound of things your having enough problems. I wish for a brand new car.
  9. I would assume you could, although there's probably something about how long you perceive an inch/foot to be that could throw it off. On a side note this is certainly up there for most random question I've ever seen.
  10. If Shallan was really clever with her illusions she could stand a chance. (spoilers are for Steelheart)
  11. Granted your roof collapses from the snow. I wish the wind would stop.
  12. While I admit that it is way to early in the series to think that anything is set in stone I can't help but see some similarities between Renarin and Spook. Both started out as minor characters who seem to have powers that are more or less useless... ok maybe useless is the wrong term, but both truthwatching and burning tin don't strike me as the first ability someone would want, (at first glance). However by the end of Mistborn Spook had pushed his ability so far that he was able to fight using his senses of touch and hearing to detect a sword from behind. I theorize that we'll see something similar from Ranarin he's going to feel that he isn't contributing to the fight so he'll keep using his ability until he fights like he was burning Atium.
  13. I think that the reason spren are so common on Roshar is because Honor, cultivation and Odium have splintered themselves a bit (ok more than a bit in Honors case) giving these ideas that normally only exist in the cognitive realm the boost they needed to be seen in the physical realm. Also I think there's a WoB somewhere that says that some spren are little fragments of Adonalsium and that they are found on worlds other than Roshar. (I looked but I couldn't find the exact quote so I'm not 100% sure of the accuracy but I think I got the idea)
  14. Tension does have it's appeal if it's as effective as mckeedee123 suggests I could just walk past someone tap them, infuse a little stormlight and stiffen their heart, they drop dead and no one can prove it was me. I suppose gravity would also be pretty cool, flying and all that, and friction sounds awesome as well.
  15. Agreed Brandon has stated that we're most likely going to get a book that has POV/flashbacks for a dead character although we don't know who. I doubt that we'll see as many deaths per book as in Mistborn. But we are going to see some, for now I think he's lulling us into a false sense of security with these resurrections/regeneration's. I would guess that we'll see our first death of a major character soon.
  16. Granted it flies of because it didn't need you. I wish I could find my GPS.
  17. I heard that a video game was in the works but it's still vary much up in the air. the only thing I've seen for a movie was one fan made trailer. Steelheart has all the makings of a great film in fact some of Brandon's comments at the end of the book say he hopes it will be made into a movie. But film companies do tend to wait till the books are done so I'd say a few years before we have any chance of seeing it. I could see Mistborn or Stormlight getting a TV series but there needs to be further advancement in the field of computer generated effects before ether show becomes a possibility... a lot further, but I wouldn't rule it out completely.
  18. Actually a day on Venus lasts around 243 earth days in fact Venus will undergo two hole rotations around the sun before it finishes one whole day. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing given that you are now trapped on said toxic planet for several months.
  19. #75 I will instruct my legion of terror Inquisitors to attack the hero Survivor en mass instead of standing around waiting while members break off and attack him one or two at a time.
  20. Question if I have to go to a sub page like going from Catchphrase to Catchphrase/Literature does that count as one page or two?
  21. ... "On second thought here's a puppy, you'll break your leg once you get out of the cave enjoy ". I wish for a bottle of water.
  22. Started with Rewarding Vandalism -->the legend of zelda skyward sword -->Alas, poor Villain -->the wheel of time --> Brandon Sanderson That was actually a little easier then I thought it would be I guess all the time playing the Wikipedia version of the game paid off.
  23. Granted it gets eaten by a cat I wish for an A+ on the assignment I'm submitting tomorow
  24. Granted you get horrible indigestion. I wish for a mild winter.
  25. Just one question how are you planning to swallow the aspirin if you're upside down? Well take them anyway, your curse is to not have any water to swallow them with I wish someone would salt my walkway.
