Your All-Time Favorite Superhero/Supervillian
Blaze1616 replied to Fatebreaker's topic in General Discussion
Green Lantern. More specifically Kyle Rayner. Even before the Blackest Night bit (and therefore the New 52 stuff), Kyle Rayner's creative mind brings out the most in a GL's power, moving an already OP power into the massively OP realm. Add in Kyle's lack of a weakness to yellow, and lack of the 24 hour recharge period, and Kyle is ridonculously powerful. Let's not even mention Ion. My next favorite is Peter Parker. I love the characters, I love the morals, and most of all I love the fact that Spidey lack OP superpowers and is focused on speed and acrobatics, rather than being a big bruiser (like almost every other major hero). No list, in my opinion, is complete without the honorable mention of Iron Man. Why do I like him? His origin story. Good on you, Stan Lee. Making a character that everyone should hate, they have almost every reason to hate, yet you made everyone love him. -
Yes. Last I checked we did not have FTL in 1980 (are you hiding something? ).

Okay, maybe I mis-interpreted your "Space Age" as "Space Opera Sci-Fi." If so, I apologize. If not, and that is what you meant, then no, they are two different trilogies, ergo the "trilogy of trilogies" that used to be how Mistborn was refered to.

Granted. You've been given one million U.S. dollars, and your reputation on this site will always bet at least one greater than the user with the second most reputation. No matter what device you are using, all attempts to access 17th Shard will result in a Rick Roll. You will never be able to contribute to the site in any way again. On the bright side, you will forever have the highest reputation. I wish a day consisted of 30 hours, instead of 24. -
So go with Puppy Repede! He's just so gosh darned cute!

Brandon still plans to do the modern-age, 1980's tech Mistborn. He has also mused about a current time Mistborn (2010's-2020's). Space Era is then "Era 4" as it currently stands (2010's would be Era 4 if he writes it, moving Space Era to Era 5). And by "next," I assume you mean way in the future, as it currently stands. That's to be one of the last sequences of books he does, Cosmerically.

This is my JAM! Colors included, as well as series. 1) Tommy Oliver - Green/White Ranger - Mighty Morphing Power Rangers Ninjor - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (not really a ranger) 2) Jason - Gold Zeo Ranger - Power Rangers Zeo Blue Senturion - Power Rangers Turbo (not really a ranger) Phantom Ranger - Power Rangers Turbo (I don't count him...) 3) Zhane - Silver Space Ranger - Power Rangers In Space Mike - Magna Defender - Power Rangers Lost Galaxy (not really a ranger) 4) Ryan - Titanium Ranger - Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue 5) Eric - Quantum Ranger - Power Rangers Time Force 6) Merrik - Lunar Wolf Ranger - Power Rangers Wild Force (Also called Howling Wolf Ranger in one episode) Er...ninja storm had a base group of three, so: Hunter and Blake were the two bonus Thunderstorm Rangers to make a team of five (crimson and navy are colors respectively) Cam - Green Samurai Ranger - Power Rangers Ninja Storm Again, Dinothunder had a base team of three, so: Tommy Oliver - Brachio Ranger - Power Rangers Dinothunder Trent - Drago Ranger - Power Rangers Dinothunder Anubis "Doggy" Cruger - Shadow Ranger - Power Rangers SPD Sam - Omega Ranger - Power Rangers SPD Kat - Cat Ranger - Power Rangers SPD Boom - Orange Ranger - Power Rangers SPD (not really a thing but that episode was hilarious) I have not watched anything after SPD (I'm actually finishing the season tonight to then begin Mystic Force tomorrow as I work my way through the Disney seasons and new Saban seasons...thanks Netflix). Name 5 gay/lesbian characters from Scott Pilgrim (Ramona does not count...nor do Knives or Kim, for that matter). Name Ramona's 7 evil ex's, as well as Scott's 3 ex's. (I decided not to go with the one above, as one of the characters is only in the novels, and another is only revealed to be so in the novels...)

At recent signings Brandon has said he won't answer eye color questions, so I'm not sure how potent of an answer anyone will get. I'm guessing immediate RAFOs, but might as well try. I have a feeling SA3-5 will delve into the issue, so he's staying tight lipped.

Hah, that is funny. I meant more of the way in which TenSoon tried so darned hard just to fail. If I recall the story correctly, the majority of his PoV chapters were him trying to escape so he could reunite with her, and it didn't happen. That was more why it was heartbreaking (particularly because TenSoon is my favorite character from Mistborn). Plus I don't particularly view that as much of a trope because it has to happen in most stories which it occurs, unless someone dies. I also get far less exposure to it than the "mentor death/oh wait nevermind" trope (plus I feel Kelsier still being around is Brandon catering to his fans, which I really, really dislike).

But SA does not occur far enough into the future for it to be space craft. It could be shooting stars, but I thought it was mentioned that they did loops in the sky. Starspren are named such by Rosharans. Considering their understanding of spren and stars, it is a logical name to give them. Knowing Brandon there is doubtless an actual reason, such as UV-radiation spren, ozone spren, etc. Godspren, on the other hand, is a fandom name that we have applied and defined. The difference between the two, starspren and godspren, essentially comes down to who has defined it. I would personally not lump them together, as they are completely different situations.

If he's a Worldhopper then he must be a Nalthian native. Only Nalthians Return. Do we have info on all the Heralds being Rosharan natives or not?

Well of Ascension, and the Era 1 Mistborn trilogy as a whole. The Final Empire was a great book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it (though it loses points for the dieing mentor trope, even if it was a necessary thing...mainly because he's also still not "dead"), but WoA was boring, the "romance" between Vin and Zane did not exist no matter how hard the characters tell me it did, and Straff Venture deserved more as a villain. HoA was an improvement, but still didn't reach the heights of Brandon's other works. Also Vin and TenSoon never reuniting was heartbreaking.

There is WoB that Jezrien's is smaller. I read it earlier today. I will edit with the link and quote when I find it again. Edit: source I would also like to note that this WoB is the reason I personally believe the honorblades change appearance like Shardblades do, for the reasons Moogle pointed out. It is obviously not specifically stated, but as Moogle said, it is simply illogical to have a short blade and handicap one's self. Edit 2: I misread your post. I guess the "small" aspect could be in reference to width, but I've always been under the impression it meant length, as huge swords were Brandon's inspiration for Shardblades. Edit 3: For completion's sake, there is this WoB about the blade's size as well. source Emphasis mine. Personally, I don't see how having a wider blade would make fighting something larger than you easier. Only extra length would do that.

Mr. Baldwin has played a few characters with initials J.C., actually. As has been noted there's Jayne Cobb from Firefly, John Casey from Chuck (my favorite), Jesse Carter from Sands of Oblivion (a TV movie), and then there's Jamie Kenton from Bones (which is spelled with a K, but could be spelled with a C). He's actually played a large number of roles where his first name begins with a J.

Granted. Trees are invisible to you now, though. You will be remembered in history as Mestiv, the Man who Walks into Trees. News interviews will happen. You will be famous. Over the course of time, though, you will slowly turn into legend, so much so that you will eventually be a joke, as follows: A man walks into a bar. (Pause) Oh wait, that was a tree. Poor Mestiv... It shall be the funniest joke on Tarchuan, third planet of the star Yggdrasil. I wish to be able to read and comprehend multiple things at once. -
I don't think it is particularly necessary. The page does say it is the working title, not the set title. The Highprince of War also has its own page. Until we know for certain the information is incorrect, I see nothing wrong with the pages as they are now. Besides, renaming the page to Stormlight 3 would make the page pointless, as there would be zero content. Rather than renaming, we'd be deleting.

Though we do know that Rhyshadium pick their rider, to my knowledge there is nothing saying that Rhyshadium only pick Radiants. In fact, given how relatively common Rhyshadium seem to be in the novels, statistically speaking it was bound to happen. I say relatively common because they obviously aren't common, yet we've seen more than three in the novels, if I recall correctly. That, however, is a discussion for a different thread. I would be happy to follow into a new topic though, if you'd like to make one. Edit: I didn't mean that last bit rudely. I'm just trying to cut back on how often I derail threads. I always feel guilty about it.

Mistborn: Birthright - What do you want to see?
Blaze1616 replied to AussieMistborn's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I completely agree with everything said. Hopefully they do the inFAMOUS gameplay right though, as parkour games can turn out pretty bad when you don't... -
Alrighty, so here's what I got: Theron, god of hunting I understand that Theron's backstory might not jive with your world. If you would like me to change it, please tell me. No reason to clash when we don't have too. Salutem Theronisues Edit: removed, because I missed how Winter's disease tribe was based in the mountains, because I am half blind, apparently. The updated version of the characters that were below are on the next page.

Aons Might Be Hiding The Cosmere's Secrets
Blaze1616 replied to Blaze1616's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Right, I thought I had read that somewhere but after a basic search for it I couldn't find it. Seeing Aon Ati just got me thinking to the possibility. I'm not aiming to make any solid theories out of this, by any means. Just thought it was a fun find. -

You are correct. This is what I get for not actually looking at the book. I'll edit it.
