I was wondering if the new character EL was the namesake of the Nah EL bond.

Remember that people like Khaladin and Shallan were the original tethers. Once those had been connected, other spren of those orders had a much easier time making the transition to the physical realm and therefor could be more direct about bonding people near the original tethers.

Ive been wondering if what Venli did was entirely something a Stoneward can do. I think more likely she is accidentally hacking into Dawnsinger powers by having the Envoy-Form communication powers plus the powers of a Stoneward.

Rhythm of Reviews: Venli and Flashbacks
teknopathetic commented on Chaos's article in Columns and Features
My tinfoil theory is that Venli and a Bondsmith unshatter the plains. "Unite Them" meant the shattered plains themselves. -
If Kelsier was Radiant, which order would he be?
teknopathetic replied to Yvainnie's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think either dustbringer because the Spren would support him or possibly a Bondsmith as he brings certain people together in a similar way Dalinar has (while still facing an opponent). Truthwatcher works too as they can openly kill with little consequence to the first ideal and Kelsier has admitted truths about himself. -
Plus Roshar was not supposed to take as long as it has. Let either Ruin or Preservation kill the other, and then mop up the wounded shard later.

Is it possible Shallan's mother was a Herald?
teknopathetic replied to ScarecrowBoat716's topic in Stormlight Archive
Also it isn’t confirmed that Nale is the only one to bond a spren. Instead he said he was the only one to bond a spren of the same order. -
Part of me hopes there are life forms in the spiritual realm.

Rhythm of Reviews: Kaladin and Navani
teknopathetic commented on Chaos's article in Columns and Features
For the Khaladin messages plot hole, I think the Singers were listening via a vein of rock. Like, they tapped into that vein and were listening to that since they knew where Navani was at all times. The messages to Khaladin were utilizing a different vein. -
Shard Names and Dawnshards Hidden in Aon Pictures
teknopathetic posted a topic in Cosmere Discussion
This is here since the new shards are confined in ROW Was looking through these and wow do a lot of them jump out as AHA moments. I SWEAR there was a whimsy Aon but I for the life of me can't find it now. I didn't post all the ones that jump out, but here is a good list. Brandon has said he tinkered with names, but these are still quite interesting. We have too many for to not to be a coincidence. Some names have changed like Ingenuity, but I wonder how many clues are here. One thing I noticed is that some of these confirmed Shard Aons are a lot thicker, and I wonder if line thickness plays any part? Shard Options: Chastity, Beauty, Punishment/Retribution, Love/devotion, Bravery/Valor, Endownment, Mercy, Justice, Unity, Grace, Hope, Loyalty, Security Dawnshard Options Link Here: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Aon-

Dalinar seems to know it just isn't a physical fight though, so what gives? Mental willpower mind fights? ASK FOR A PAMPHLET, DALINAR! Hopefully Hoid knows what a champion battle entails (unless Tod took that memory too)....

I would bet Adolin dies. This frees up Shallan for the back half and keeps the number of characters lower. It also thrusts Renarin into the forefront.

I now wonder if Bao-Ado-Mishram is actually a real child of Cultivation and Honour in a real people sense. This goes bad, so cultivation makes her own child that is kept away from human influence (the Nightwatcher).

I have a lot of questions. Like, why do Thaylans not feel cold (Yalb only wore an open vest with no shirt on the open seas of the Frostlands....) Odd... Reminds me of how the Northern Scadrians didn't feel as cold as the Southern Scadrians

A short story about the indigenous people and their beliefs would be nice. I found myself ... sort of sympathizing considering what happened to indigenous populations on Earth....

Seth also said the stone shamans had a way of recovering the blades from a distance, so I do wonder if there is some way to take back the blades that have left Shiniovar.

Sand mastery can be used to construct buildings somehow, so there is that. I feel like the people of Taldain did not explore that to the fullest. If the mastery could be used to make something permanent that would sure open a lot of doors.

The Iriali and Thaylens seems to be quite distinct from other racial groups, so maybe even more land was created for them in other migrations.

Similar to the Reod - Dawncities and Shattered Plains
teknopathetic replied to teknopathetic's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I don't think it is the constructed city that is making the sound, but that spot in particular. The city is build around the sound pattern generated at that place, but it is the location that is important. Akinah wasn't shattered (despite the rumours), but Natanatan was. Heck, even the human cities stayed close to the original pattern well after the Singer cities were levelled by human conquest. People can STILL see the patterns after at least 4000 years... That is insane! I could very well see the dawnsingers going to places of power and calling-up cities around the nexuses (nexi?) of power. The singers noticed the spots and decided to build powerful cities on them. Eventually in human times, something blows one up and this causes everything to go haywire in conjunction or in tandem with Mishrim. If there are tones associated with geographical locations, what is the consequence of losing one (especially to spren or greatshells who are native to the area). It just seems odd to me that we have these ten cities on ten siezmatic patterns that correspond to tones. That should mean something. We know the location magic on Sel has a lot to do with the energy being shoved into the cognitive realm, but that does not mean that physical location only matters when energy is locked into the cognitive realm. Why was Elantris built where it was? Why did the dawnsingers choose the spots they did? How does physical location fit into magic systems where the power is locked to a system (like Roshar?). Something is here, and it seems a lot like the Reod (like maybe the tones are a little wrong now?) -
Why I find the Venli flashbacks interesting
teknopathetic replied to Jenet's topic in Stormlight Archive
I hope she eventually becomes the scholar she thought she was. -
Whimsy. And whimsy is NOT chaos. It is adventure, fun, exploration, spur of the moment, joy, and not paying attention to consequences. It is doing the fun thing in the face of more serious options.

We have a new WOB saying that what is happening on Roshar (bad connection) is similar to something else (almost certainly the chasm line causing the Reod). We have been led to believe that the issue Mishram being imprisoned, but what about the dawncity shapes? With one dawncity destroyed, could that loss of land be causing an issue with the tones/connection of Roshar? It is entirely possible the shattered plains and Misharm are connected, but I do wonder if the dawncity shapes may have had a function on the planet and the loss of one is causing something similar to the reod? I am convinced Kabsal showing Shallan the tones and the shapes must mean something beyond "oh cool"

It is insane to me that Dalinar didn't ask what the battle entails....How can someone consent to something they dont understand?
-
It also doesn't make sense what would have broken Taln after 1000s of years? If nothing worked before, then what would have worked now (especially if Taln was so insane by the end)?

Contest of Champions Predictions [RoW Spoilers]
teknopathetic replied to Crossen's topic in Stormlight Archive
I am starting to think Shallan will be Honour's champion. The contest is not just about fighting but about something else. Shallan has been forged through the fire, and there is that whole "drowned man vs man who never swam" speech. Plus we add that too "one of them might save us" from the back cover of TWoka.... Shallan, with two spren, steps up.
