I still wonder if Jasnah took the deal with Odium. It is a good deal. The deal makes logical sense. And I feel Taravangian wouldn't have offered the deal unless he saw universes where Jasnah took it. Maybe she agreed in some way that occured off screen? Her bedroom depression seemed a little too intense for me (more like she was hiding from what she had maybe done)

A lot of the old Latin/Roman months were simply given numbers as a system for governmental use, commerce tracking, and planning festival events. Originally there were 10 months governing the usable part of the year, with the "dead time" in the coldest part of the year not being given a name because basically nothing important was really going on to worry too much about administratively. The coldest winter months only got names later on, which messed up the number name system. The early Roman calendar did not have names for the winter period because it was considered a "dead" time for government, farming, and military activity. Originally attributed to Romulus, the first king of Rome, the calendar only consisted of 10 named months, starting in March (Martius) and ending in December (December)" But yes, the actual names of most of our months are pretty dang basic simple word combination like "September". But the names of things change over time, like for example August(us) and July (Julius) used to be "Quintilis" and "Sextilius", but were renamed after Emperors. Some of the other months are named after gods in relation to important festivals happening in and around those months. And like I said before, the number-modern-usage order doesn't make sense anymore because we moved from a 10-Month system to a 12-Month system. This is probably something that should have been fixes at some point, but people are lazy and no one seems to really care. But in terms of a raw, universally translatable word that Hoid could impart cross-culturally, i think saying "Her Name was Tenth-Month" is pretty much the most basic universally understandable and basic bit of word invention I can think of.

I mean, December literally comes from the term 10th Month. is "tenth month" really that insane of a translation to give people? And yes, it is odd that the 12th month is named Tenth-Month, but Oct(8)ober and Nov(9)ember seem to have gotten over it.

I completely agree with you, and think these points only exacerbate the issue. Brandon needs like 3x the amount of time to weave the final book into the narrative even more so with all these challenges present, but because his company [and publisher] needs him to rattle out books at a certain pace, he just isn't able to take the time needed to keep his artistic craft up at a high enough level. Not that you said this, but it generally annoys me when people say Brandon can be a better artist because he "doesn't need the money". But seeing as he is employing so many members of his family and of his community, he needs the money income stream in a much more profound and artistically compromising way than basically any other author I can think of. I am happy for him, as this sort of structure seems to be what he wants to create and to be able to maintain. But I truly truly believe that his desire to create this sort of empire around his IPs is coming at a narrative and artistic cost. He seems happy to make this trade, but as fan, this choice has made me less interested in the products he is releasing.

We aren't even sure what is happening on Autonomy's planet though, right? We learn that Kriss went back to her planet to deal with whatever is going on there, so maybe there has been a major shakeup with that shard recently.

We learn about something else bigger than a form of power that Ba Ado Mishram is involved with. This is just in the lore book so I don't know if they play into the plot of the campaign:

The RPG Stormlight Worldguide gives lore that says that that Ba Ado Mishram was making Shadowform Fused before her capture, and it states that these Fused were haunting the City of Shadows aka Rall Elorim for 1000s of years despite being locked away in gemstones. Ba Ado Mishram creating her own Fused in a massive bit of news in my opinion. We knew she could grant forms of power, but creating new fused? Does Odium have power over these fused, or are they autonomous? When Ishar made his own fused, I got the impression Odium couldnt unfuse them directly, so one would assume a similar situation going on here with the Shadowform Fused. This even heavily implies tha Rall Elorim is called the City of Shadows because these Gem-Locked Fused were manifesting as Shadowspren from time to time and shrieking around the place. It makes me wonder if Shadowform is something Odium was doing, or if these fused were something unique seeing as these fused seemed to remain trapped in the gems and were not pulled back to Braize. I was just wondering if we are allowed to post things we have found in the Stormlight RPG into this forum? There is some pretty interesting Ba Ado Mishram fused lore in there I don't think anyone knew.

Other animals seem to be more intelligent or have some slight abilities as well. I wonder if the worms grant effects up the entire food chain. Predators that eat the birds gain some powers etc all throughout the foodchain.

For some reason I thought the Aetherbound was a Kandra. Maybe a kandra would be able to trick the aether bond in some way? Brandon has said in WoBs that Kandra could form nahel bond with a spren, so an Aether seems possible as well.

I suppose if Valor drops the shard, maybe there are consequences. But fair enough. We know breath can be used to make people forget, so maybe that was somehow used? But the whole thing is weird. Why did she forget? Why isn't it top priority for her to remember? Does she not want to remember? Does Hoid even want her to remember? What do the twins think?

It was weirdly written for arcanists, but refused to get into specifics about the Aviar powers.

I have a hard time believing Hoid would have children with somone who wasn't invested and/or capable of sticking around for a long time. I would think his children would also probably need to be a little invested for a similar reason. I just dont see Hoid doing the "watch your loved ones wither" sort of path. I realize a gift of Breath can fix this, but I still think for meta reasons his wife has to be pretty invested and able to have invested children. So this makes me think he and Valor get back together. He has kids with a Shard, and we get to see how how that works.

Maybe we have some symmetry between Scadrial and Roshar. The Basin VS The Malwish Empire and Uritheru vs Retribution's Empire Maybe the Basin and Uritheru will end up working together to try and take down their respective antagonist nations. It would be interesting to see Shallan and Kelsier working together on something instead of opposing each other.

Just because we meet Irali does not mean the Iriali have not reformed into The One. The space group we met could be ethnically Irali but not a part of the main branch that reformed into The One. It is kind of like seeing someone looks to be ethnically arabic in ancestry, but you aren't sure if they are a practicing muslim. That sort of thing.

Surly there are branches or Irali, right? I doubt every single Iriali on Roshar decided to take up the call and leave the planet. We would also have Iriali in cities like Kolinar that were physically unable to leave on the long trail. We also get people like Evi that are mixed Iriali ethnically, so would have a strange place in the pecking order. Heck, space faring Irali also form a huge issue for this as the people aren't even confined to the same planet anymore. What does the long trail even look like if people are working off world? I would assume each time there is a change of worlds, splinter groups form. There may be core Iriali on the trail and spinter ethnic Irali that have stepped off the trail.

I don't think First of the Sun is any of the main stops on the trail. We learn that the Iriali looked at First of the Sun, but deemed it an unacceptable option to make as a new home. It is a rare piece of the tapestry because they didn't actually stay there very long and hasn't been that key to the tapestry after all these years; it was basically a layover.

I love the Iriali as the missing hue for Virtuosity. I hope it is true.

I also wonder if maybe Sazed found a way to invest more generally outside of a planet. Maybe he diluted his power across the cosmere and is more able to assist people galaxy wide. This would make people feel he wasnt Scadrian in the same way.

Oh sorry. I didn’t mean to imply the birds each needed a continuous supply of worms to remain invested. They don’t need to refresh. What I was trying to say is maybe someone has started to just simply export the worms to planets that have a native bird population. If it was possible to just move the parasite off world and get the same effect, I would assume that would just be a simpler way of doing things. I’m sure people would look at these worms and consider farming them off world and seeing which species can gain an effect Perhaps the worms could subsist on stormlight or manage to survive in the cultivation shard pool. Something like that. Then Mraize could have fed a cultivated worm to a bird from Roshar. And this could make some sense. Perhaps someone in the past figured out the worms help boats float, and figured out a way to cultivate a unsea worm farm for a longer supply of worm paste on the open sea. This person makes it to a planet with investiture and manages to continue to grow the worms. These worms eventually make it to Roshar and someone discovers that if birds eat them, the birds become invested too. People assume it’s something like the Purelake Fish powers. Maybe the worms even like the Purelake. Something along those lines.
