I mean for all we know Shallan changed her mind about the Ghostbloods and was standing right there in disguise next to Steris

I kept thinking that the doppelgängers were trying to steal connection/destiny through imitation. It would have been interesting if people could reverse engineer an identity/fortune/destiny connection. That would have made some sense. Sadly, no.....

Fantastic likely crossover catch by redditor

Plus who knows how the rules have changes after SA5. Maybe lifelight radiants like lift are a more common thing, for example. Or even void light radiants. Who knows? -
I am not so sure Sazed did any worse than Leras. They both seemed to use a very similar strategy and both managed to win through placing people in the right spot with the right resources for the right people. Sazed says again and again that his strength is putting people in the right position, and that's what Leas did too. Much like Hoid though, it seems to know where to be but not exactly why to be there. Ans Sazed also said he had a bigger hand in the Ghostbloods than they knew in terms of placement. and quite possibly, doing anything more would have drawn Autonomy in further and faster. Sazed played it smart IMO. I mean, Kelsier just happened to be over the ocean and unable to get around right when this went down? That for sure is Sazed moving someone away from the hotline so that Kelsier didn't mess it up or take over the situation for his own benefit. Everyone was exactly where they needed tone, and Sazed admits that placement is his best power. IMO, we should be even more impressed by Sazed if he was truly blinded for a lot of it but still had things placed correctly. That means he can function even when blinded, which to me is very impressive.

Well how could preservation have known he needed Vin and Eland in particular? It seems the future sight is very "put things where they need to go" without knowing exactly how that "preserves" the world. Is Era 1 considered a close call, or is that basically exactly what happened with Preservation getting the better of a Shard that was "outsmarting" him?
-
Sazed’s plan worked perfectly. He keeps saying that he placed people and that he motivated the Ghostbloods in unseen ways. Sazed’s future sight is extremely powerful but extremely subtle. IMO Sazed did as well as Preservation did in Era 1. Sazed probably doesn’t want people to be aware of how strong his forsight is.

It isn’t confirmed exactly. But MeiLaan sees a munch of red haired people that Harmony sent her tot go help. People think those are likely Horneaters.

The fact she is watching Hoid and keeping track of him is another clue. I think we can be 100% it is Shai IMO with everything we have. -
How Harmony could break his deadlock and act
teknopathetic replied to Vin(Diesel)'s topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think cultivation would work the best. It would allow for the middle ground between the extremes. Cultivation is about ecosystems and growth, which would go well. whimsy might actually work too. It might allow harmony to just do some things randomly without caring about consequences or intents.- 20 replies

Would only need to be one skybreaker and some squires right? Could a Scadrial person be a squire for a Rosharan?

Based on the language feel, Bjendal is probably an India based aether world or post-exodus world. -
I’m on that side too. Roshar gets absolutely remade and is not hospitable for many people. There needs to still be a perpendicularity there though but maybe that’s a dead shardpool or something.
-
We have a few things from Roshar come about and these to me don’t point to good news for SA book 5: 1. the Ghostbloods consider the Roshar perpendicularly semi unsafe (but not as unsafe as others). That implies the planet is at least still in existance. Though they say “not counting Roshar” as if Roshar is a strange case. So is Cultivation’s one still unusable? 2. The Newspaper Editor makes a mention of gold haired people who live in Bilming. Are those Iriali? Did they move again? Would make sense for the Iriali to move somewhere where they could be “autonomous”. Scadrial has a documented population, so there suddenly being a golden haired minority is quite odd. As well, we know Harmony wants to help other populations and sends kandra to maybe go help the “red haired people” (Horneaters?). Maybe Scadrial has starting receiving refugees? 3. Chouta is being sold now on Scadrial means Eastern Roshar and Team Honour food culture is moving through Scadrial. Is that implying a mass immigration event? 4. Horneaters may be refugees near Silverlight. 5. Hoid has gotten off world which has implications on the rules off getting of world with a spren. Secret Project stuff I won’t mention here 6. There may have been Skybreakers sent to help sink the boats in the bay. 7. Iyatal is mentioned as still being running a muck on Roshar with the Ghostbloods. Seems odd since her running the place wouldn’t allow her to time-skip to the future as a method of not getting old and dying. Is there an active process that stops aging then? Or did she just time skip a lot and recently returned? 8. Autonomy’s army has gold skin. Is that related to the Iriali in any way? Any thoughts on what all this means?
-
Also, the Irali are on Scadrial now? That Newspaper editor mentions the golden hair Faye people? Coppermind:“The Iriali have metallic golden-blond skin and hair that breeds true” All this together sure makes it seem like Roshar …. That Roshar isn’t a great place to be after SA5

Universal stamps using invested ink makes Soulstamping an actually useful art off world! It’s my favourite, so I am so excited Shainhas found ways to use them. Also, as she is Kelier’s best agent, she probably has a lot of other things in hand as well. i wonder if we get a new novella with her dealing with her Elantris persona or the consequences of that action? The Soulstamper’s Soul? -

They also specifically mention that coinshotting over an ocean is difficult. I know the boats are in a bay, but coinshotting over water is still hard. A skybreaker though… -
On a meta level, mentioning law and then sending worldhoppers out to fly seems like a choice Brandon had to know he was doing. No one else in the books ever seems to worry about the law on screen. We are also told earlier in the book that steelpushing over water doesn’t work well. A coinshot may have pointed out the water issue, but a Skybreaker wouldn’t think twice and again, as these people were sent by Marasi, there is no reason for anyone to pay much attention to the minutia of their powers or flight Another point of evidence is that we have people settling Chouta on Scadrial. That implies a not too small population of Rosharans on the world Added to that, we have the possible Horneater refugee population in the epilogue hinting at more mass movement or more normalized travel Taken together, I’m 99% sure this was a Skybreaker. If it is a skybreaker, then something has changed since RoW and maybe things are working a bit differently. Heck, maybe it is a lifelight skybreaker or human voidlight skybreaker for all we know. Or maybe there is no glow when someone uses a different fuel source. Or even, maybe people have learned to repress the glow much like learning to repress a heightening. Ghostbloods allow for many “maybe” explanations. But if they were allomancers, Brandon could have and likely would have given a different single line of dialogue to the character. Seeing as these are unnamed Ghostbloods, and that every Ghostbloods so far has been a world hopper, Brandon knows any line is going to be dissected. Mentioning “the law” is the single most obvious thing Brandon could do to signal a Skybreaker without dropping an obvious slang term or Roshar reference.

Well Steris didn’t pay attention. She just saw the people fly off which wouldn’t raise any questions. Plus the boats were far away and all being evacuated. There wouldn’t be witnesses

I also came to the conclusion they were skybreakers. Legal + flying + Steris being a bit confused since she knew where the city Allomancers were. -
Lost Metal Full Book Reactions (Cosmere Edition)

Did we get Skybreakers near the end there [or a sky breaker with his squires]. The Ghostblood group sent to help Steris specifically asks "Are you sure this is legal?" before they fly off to go sink the boats. Steris sees a tattoo, so we have 100% confirmation that these people in particular were Ghostbloods (plus the other confirmations). Steris then thinks "Hmm, all the official Allomancers are off helping elsewhere. These must be other ones I guess?". But to me, I think we just saw Skybreakers using their powers off world. A Skybreaker would look a lot like a coinshot to the uniformed, and the "is this legal" thing is quite the hint. -
We also get some Skybreakers it sounds like in the last part. The main man of the Ghostblood contingent asks "Are you sure it is legal [to sink the ships], and once convinced he and his friends fly off. Steris assumes they must have been undocumented Allomancers, but it seems to me these were Skybreakers for sure.

Or plug the earring back in and ask for some clarification.

Makes me wonder if Harmony is playing "awww shucks, I just don't know nuffin; why is Autonomy so smart and cleverer than me?" bit on purpose order to trick Autonomy into being far less cautious than she should be.
