  1. I never said Vin didn't kill much people she shouldn't kill, but she did regret it, and when she fought the Koloss, she felt relief at knowing that she could be sure killing them was the right thing. Plus, according to the Warbreaker annotations, thinking about selling Nightblood or questioning your own morality are enough to be sent to the death-rage. So Vasher's methods are objective, but to say they can't kill innocents is stupid.
  2. I suspect TLR only died because he saw Vin burning the mists, and let himself be defeated. Look, his only goal was making sure Ruin never escaped, so he orobably saw himself as a champion of Preservation. If he saw Preservation wanted Vin to win, he would probably be so afraid and confused he would just stop fighting. Plus, he was tired of being an Immortal tyrant, so he probably just let himself be defeated. His final speech came after he started to regret his suicide-by-mistborn, thinking he damned the world.
  3. A question from an independent researcher: how does the DA feel about the newly estabilished field of Applied Alleymatics? I know some of your most (in)famous members were involved in its creation, but it would be important to know your organization's opinion on this field.
  4. Vin, because she is the one who actualy cares about whatever the people she kills deserve or not, while Vasher throws Nightblood around and lets his breatgs decide. Yeah, the sociopath's appretice is the one who cares more about human life.
  5. No, I am quite sure I meant last. As far as I am aware, he was smart enough to not try again.
  6. Skaa's L-String theory calls it L-Boson.
  7. I wonder what command would he give... And if it would end as badly as his last experiment...
  8. Allomantic pewter and Feruchemical zinc, for the more pratical and direct fighters. Better strenght, speed, endurance and a incredible reaction speed. Allomantic pewter and Feruchemical iron, if you want to jump across roofs and make the ground tremble beneath your steps. Allomantic pewter and feruchemical gold or steel, since pewter also boosts speed and endurance, making it easier to store two overpowered, but hard to store, attributes.
  9. At the risk of repeating myself, Most other spaces not contained in the alleys, Roundabout or Highway orbit the City and can temporaly be absorved by it.Note: I currently changed my opinion and believe the Roundabout is four-dimensional.
  10. I am not sure if that would work, since the Highway also needs to have great expanses that do not intersect anything. Oh, and we need to know where all the other cults/associations/conspiracies/guilds fit. I'd say the Highway is a non-euclidian three dimensional space that curves slightly in the fourth dimension, and is infinete in all its dimensions, while the Roundabout is a three dimensional finite space that expands as necessary, and makes a four-dimensional loop, and lies bellow the curvature of the Highway, if you consider the fourth dimension direction it bends to as "up". The alleys are four dimensional tunnels that are infinite in only one dimension, intersect the Highway and pass throught the center of the Roundabout's loop. The area directly between the center of the loop and the center of distribution of alleyway intersections with the Highway is a point where different alleys intersect and form a maze of five dimensions called "The City" We should probably create a thread for it...
  11. Yeah, the biggest problem with binary "types" is that most people are close to the middle of the scale. While I would never be taken for an E or S, and I am sure I am a P, most tests seem unsure if I am an INTP or INFP, as I said before.
  12. The Thaylen are not said to have "large" shin eyes, and they live on the southernsmost nation in Roshar, so they are most likely very pale, at least as pale as Shallan if not more.
  13. You get a apology explaining that we have run out of alleys and the Highway's dimensional holes are still being patched. *inserts indifference at... Inserts worry about not even knowing what I was indifferent about before it got removed from the universe*
  14. The problem is, Nergaoul is moving towards the West from Alethkar to Jah Keved, according to the Diagrammists' observations on the Veden Civil War. On other hand, nice unmade, or at least stormspren, sighting. I had completely forgot that passage.
  15. The universe gets broken by the recursion. Again. You get sent to the roundabout as a punishment. *Inserts space-time stability.*
  16. Actualy, Taravangian theorized Nergaul was moving West and Moelach was either on the move(though I forgot the way he was going) or starting to slumber again. He decided to not waste time tracking them because they didn't have the resources to deal with ancient evil spren. Yet. That last part about being able to eventualy deal with the unmade makes me think Mraize was undestimating Taravangian.
  17. As far as I am aware, Brandom confirmed the author if the second letter is a dragon. So, no.
  18. Was that confirmed? Just curious.
  19. The problem is that the Highway has to occupy enough dimensions to touch every alley(except alley ∅, there is nothing that way ) without containing them. In a way, it is a greater spacial anomaly than the roundabout, that only needs to surround the omniverse in order to not intersect with anything
  20. That is a good question, one we can't answer now. However, I believe both are actualy caused by a great concentration of investiture. Brandon described the storm as something partialy natural(comparing Roshar to Jupiter if I remember well? My theory-fu is pretty horrible.), but highly invested. That investiture could cause the compression and also feed the storm.
  21. If you are fast enough you can stop tapping weight and pull yourself to a building behind you. But yeah, to much set up to not get dead.
  22. There is an WoB that Kaladin summoned frost glyphs after his third oath because the realms were being compressed, and much earlier he was able to look into shadesmar before performing his first basic lashing, so I suspect all investiture bridges the realms in some level. The Highstorm, wich distributes all stormlight in Roshar(or concentrates all stormlight passively lost to the ambient) and houses the greatest spren we have seem, would take this even further. This would also explain how shardpools allow worldhopping.
  23. Well, chasmfiends also don't glow despite having gemhearts. I think the "glowing" is something especific to surgebinders.
  24. You get a mildly eletrified and very pissed off repairman. *inserts annoyance at people not waiting for the repairman to finish his job*
