Szeth has been brainwashed by a mad isolationist cult since he was born, he does not deserve so much hate. Also, in my opinion redemption just means a change of heart towards good, not getting into the heroes good graces. EDIT: plus, I didn't say they had to be redeemed, only that Mr.T and Amaram could become a little less obviously villanous. Moraly grey villains are a thing. On Dalinar: the purpose of punishing criminals is to prevent further crimes, so I have no problem leaving Dalinar unpunished, considering we can be sure he will not become the Blackthorn again. Actualy, I am completely against older Dalinar not paying for the crimes he commited when he was praticaly a different person.

On the plus side, the more horrible Dalinar was, the more poignant becomes his change of heart and the highter are the chances some characters(*cough* Mr.T *cough* Szeth *cough* Amaram *cough*) get at least a bit less horrible.
-
That was also my theory, and he asked the Nightwatcher to forget how she died and believe in his own cover-up, wich would also work for suicide if it was because of something he did. Honestly, that would be the darkest flashback ending ever, but it would fit the man Dalinar was in the past.

Some people only get more interested in books after reading spoilers. While it may take away the pleasure of re-reading, I wouldn't say it makes it worse to read the books for the first time. And your english seems good enough to read it in the original language, why don't you do it? It is what I did for Warbreaker, all of SA and all mistborn books after the first.

Visitors from Other Worlds (Possible other-series spoilers)
DreamEternal replied to fyodor's topic in Mistborn
The problem is that if it is such a crucial part of their culture why it isn't given more than some passing mentions in Eshonai's PoV? It is probably just some minor cultural element that can be abandoned temporaly if it is harmful. -
Quick note on Willshapers and Elsecallers
DreamEternal replied to FirstSelector's topic in Stormlight Archive
The problem is that he is knowledgeable by bridgeman standards, and never seemed to care about expanding his limited knowledge. An if it comes to travelled, Sigzil outmatches him by miles. -

Dalinar's Flashback Chapter from Oathbringer
DreamEternal replied to Argent's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yes, it is just so... I can't see how Sadeas and Dalinar saw Adolin as a younger Blackthorn. I knew he wasn't as similar to his father as Dalinar thought, but young Dalinar seems like Sadeas... and in WoK he said Sadeas was better in the past...Well, on the plus side, I am loving to hate young Dalinar just as much as I loved to hate Sadeas. EDIT: The archer: I think he is that oldblood bodyguard of Dalinar, going by the blue tatoo. -

Couldn't the parshendi just go without the gemstones? It is not really the core of their cultural identity. -
No, the reason one does something is as important as what is done when it comes to moral judgements of others. He may be considered a hero for those he helped, but in the end they are wrong. He was a dangerous force that was necessary for a much greater good. In the times he helped Vin thrust others and gave hope to the skaa or sacrificed himself he was a hero, and when he killed without compassion he was everything but. In the end, he was Kelsier, and he was needed by the people. That does not make him a good person, only a force channeled towards good means.

No! Fly, you fool! The cookies are spiked!
-
Well, that does not really apply to the random stuff thread, since it is supposed to be random and devoit of relevant information.
-
Maybe so, but it can also handle it much worse than multiple hundred pages threads. You never know for sure if you didn't see the code.

What would you choose as your Twinborn Combination?
DreamEternal replied to Moash's topic in Mistborn
I would probably choose gold/electrum for my allomantic power, since they are the only ones who sound somewhat mystical( Brandon could really make his magic more magical at times) and either zinc(I tend to have problems with not enough time to think when I need it) or duraluminum(I can choose when people pay attention to me) for my feruchemical ability. EDIT: Feruchemical chromium: I think it only affects what you do, like a stange instinct that makes you more likely to make the right choice when random events are concerned. -
A lone wanderer in ragged clothing dragged his bloody feet throught the road, and for a moment lifted his face and straighted his back, staring at the undecipherable cloudy sky, as if waiting for the rain to come. His long dark blond hair reached his back and looked like a lightning had struck him. Perhaps one did. The man's equaly chaotic beard did little to hide his young age, and his clothing, while worn, may once have been fine. He looked right, and then left, his face expressionless, and walked three more steps looking forward in what could be anything from indifference to grim resolution, before asking to the winds: "How many miles are we from the starlit pools, were the hunters lose their prey?".

Speaking of high imperial? What are your opinions on people who read spoilers of books they are going to read on purpose?

Bah, they are probably too afraid to do anything. There is a secret society out there who wants everyone to believe Reckoners is cosmere, and they either bribed or threatened the mods so they wont close this thread until it is too late and the shard goes down.

[SOS Theory] Wax's Missing earring description
DreamEternal replied to Soother's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I am... not sure why you wrote that as a reply to my post. My point is that if her earring gets passed along between the protagonists of different eras it would be nice for it to be passed down to a deserving antagonist for once, so it is more a symbolic connection to Vin than a "hero trinket". -
This thing isn't over yet?

Well, at his age he already developed coping mechanisms that allow him to behave "normaly", but it could make it difficulty for him growing up. And many peculiar traits of autistic people can be problematic in a society that does not accept them. And maybe Brandon wanted to write a character with mild autism.
