  1. How can you spike a cognitive shadow? O.o
  2. If Paalm was an agent of Autonomy, it is not a very benefical shard for current Scadrial. In the times of TLR, it could have been a good influence, but society has progressed and shows more promises of further progress by trying to change the system slowly rather than by tearing it down.
  3. You get nothing! *inserts self*
  4. It has been a long time since I last watched House, but if I remember well he is also a horrible exemple, even if in the opposite direction. Most people would prefer a doctor who cared about healing them more than about being right and proving himself smarter than his colleagues(sp?).
  5. I... I made a different theory about the visions. One that ties them into the Truthwatcher progression. While I am still thinking about the points you made in your post and can't argue against it for now, I want to show my personal thoughts about the visions. The Occultation Revelation Theory
  6. Or that he has gone rogue. Autonomy would probably find him an optimal target.
  7. Shalash is one of the five Scholars. It was obvious from the beggining that the order of lightweavers had to come from a world that is all about colors. On a more serious note, that is most likely no coincidence. I wonder if Shash is actualy the name of an ancient female warrior from Yolen.
  8. I only meant she only had one active spike at once. I do not disagree that the spikes that gave her allomancy are made of Trellium.
  9. I was talking about the feruchemy part. There are those who think storing duraluminum makes you praticaly invisible, and I think they are taking it too far. Also, it would also be easy for the compounder to make enemies, since connections with other people aren't always based on trust or love or allegiance.
  10. Maxal, why do you hate so much the one you love so much? Just kidding.
  11. You get Ruined. *inserts burning stick*
  12. You get Wayne! *inserts stick again because why not?*
  13. Adolin. Syl annoys me sometimes. But at least it clearly isn't a match to the death, since they don't have neither the reasons or the means to do that.
  14. Oh. I though you meant that denying the free will of an agent in order to preserve the free will of many was two evil acts somehow. I stand corrected, although I still deeply disagree with your personal morality.
  15. Two evil acts... What the rust are you talking about now?
  16. You get a non-spiked cookie! *inserts stick again because it can't go away*
  17. If you had to choose between taking away one man's freedom or letting a dictator rise or a society colapse into chaos, taking away the freedoms of thousands, would you really choose the later? Sazed is the god of Scadrial, he can't play favorites. And have you read my two previous posts? Elendel is slowly changing for the better, in part because of Harmony. Tearing society down would help no-one except those with enough martial power to set up themselves as the new leaders, like generals aiming for a dictatorship, criminals like the Set and koloss warlords.
  18. You get your acent stolen! *insert kandra*
  19. You get a very grouchy bridgeman! *insert stick*
  20. There are much more things I disagree with here than I feel like adressing in one reply, so I will only leave this answer:The Lord Ruler created a system in wich maintening the opression was one of its pillars in order to keep himself in power. Sazed interfers subtly with the (much less opressive)system in order to make sure it eventualy reaches a point in wich his intervention becomes unnecessary. EDIT: And you just ignored most of the post you quoted, since you didn't adress why the society of Elendel should be destroyed, since it shows more promise of getting better under Harmony's influence than it would of "rising from the ashes".
  21. The problem with this argument is that it makes any discussion or criticism of Sazed's actions completely pointless. We must make our judgement of his actions based on what we know, and be willing to change it because we don't know everything. How do we know that it would hurt Wax more, not less, to know his girlfriend was a Kandra? In this case, I believe it is best to be honest. If it was all part of Harmony's plan, then he thought it was better to withold information and outright decieve, something I don't see as necessary or good based on my current knowledge. All in all, it is too soon to give my final judgement, but I disaprove slightly of Sazed's methods, even if I agree he has benefical intentions towards humanity.
  22. Why do you think it is stagnating towards slow oblivion? The people are fighting for better rights, for the first time a man with no noble blood is governor, it was show that no one can walk away from their crimes because they are highborn. The world is changing. Even if the corrupt can find ways to escape, and they get one of theirs elected, there will still be symbols of change forged in this time. And Wax did say the days when a noblemen, even an allomancer, could silence a crowd with a stare are passing. There is still hope for this society. In part because Harmony stoped it from destroying itself. Sazed's methods may be controversial, but to compare him to the Lord Ruler is unfair.
  23. That is only what I think it means, based on the mist spirits and the mistwraiths. I don't remember exactly what the annotations said.
  24. You get a oil lamp! *Insert a lock of Siri's hair*
  25. Bah, Hoid could probably call other people Hoid to mess with them. But the disguise is so deep there are no hints of it in Wayne's POV. This can only mean one thing: Sazed turned Hoid into a Kandra.
