  1. Oh, but you will think it is real even after it is over. And you better not watch any horror movie. Or a movie in wich knocking people uncouncious is treated as harmless. How long will it take before you go too far? How long can the insanity go unnoticed? Not very long.Rusted bones and dark lightning, but that made me feel evil.
  2. Granted. However both shards overpower you so completely you develop dissociative identity disorder and both of your selves hate one another, forcing you to make a millenia spanning plan to kill yourself.I wish Alfa survives Ragnarok. EDIT: Oh, and you forgot something, Clanky. My bane also makes it so you can't distinguish pictures from reality. Videos are moving pictures. So you will think all you see on TV is real. Sweet dreams.
  3. The worst oart is that this isn't the first time Alethkar was broken and reunited. The Sunmaker did it before, and we know the descendants if his dinasty are the Oldbloods, but we have no idea if he descended from Alethela's ancient rulers or not.
  4. "Had enough" by Breaking Benjamin sounds like what the heros would tell Sadeas and Amaram, I mean, just look at the chorus: "You had to have it all, Now had you had enough? You greedy little bastard, you Who get what you deserve. When all is said and done, I will be the one To leave you in your misery And hate what you have become!"
  5. She? Mars is a girl now? And I think you mean adorbitable (Obrigatory bad pun sound effects someone help why did I do this puns are bad help)
  6. Granted. However while you live their life they live yours, and they can also do it whenever they wish after the first time. Choose well. I wish the last bane I received was removed without I getting a bane that invalidates this boon.
  7. Syl after her "death"?
  8. Granted. You are one of the first to die, since Clanky's shadow hates you and it is very harmmore. When I said I wanted them to sing low, I meant in low volume. I wish for the Nightwatcher to fix her mistaken boon.
  9. Granted. You lose your shadow and reflection and can't distinguish photos, paintings and reflections from reality. I wish my shadows sang very, very low.
  10. Granted, but Kobold King hates you for no good reason. I wish my shadow-friends were resistent to light.
  11. Having dreams is not as awesome as it may seem. Most of the time, mine are just weird mismatches of my daily life, videogames I played and books I read/am desperately trying yo write. Plus, at least you also never have nightmares. It is quite anoying to wake up in the middle of the night afraid you may be on the edge of a hearth attack because of a dream you can't even remember.
  12. Granted, but it can only be planted on the ashes of the universe after Ragnarok has come and gone. I wish to be able to create beings made of living shadow that are actualy harmless.
  13. But they had no symbolheads! EDIT: And more on topic, sometimes I turn back time in my dreams to correct continuity mistakes. Often without noticing what I just did after the fact.
  14. But if we assume it works like regular stormlight healing, them how can your natural regeneration put broken bones back into their places and heal long lost limbs? I think it is more like forcing your body back in shape, simply creating flesh out of thin air if needed.
  15. How does accelerating time helps healing a slit throath? The power a surge grants is not based on its name. It is the opposite, in fact.
  16. We have never seem how a Radiant who only said the first oath reacts to a deadblade, have we? Dalinar said both oaths in a row, so he doens't count. I suppose there could be something between "mild discomfort" and "wails of the damned", like a sudden pain or numbness in the arm.
  17. I disagree. Renarin winced when he first touched the blade. Dalinar only comented about a mild disconfort compared with his old blade. Plus, he dropped his blade as it started to scream, while Renarin was show as able to hold his screaming blade for long periods of time.I believe that he had already said the first oath by the time he gained his blade, and by chapter 25 he was the Truthwatcher equivalent of a second oath Radiant. I suspect he is at third oath level equivalent currently, having progressed just before revealing himself. Ps: I currently believe the Truthwatchers do not use oaths to progress.
  18. Soneone truly did that?! I will try to upvote some of your posts to compensate.Oh, and I meant Renarin as the loner.
  19. Well, but you aren't really exploring new ideas as much as unintentionaly returning to the old notions that ambition is evil and loners are to be feared. It would have to be very well executed in order to not pass that kind of idea. Adolin going too far to protect his family(but not striking a deal with Odium) wouldn't have that risk, instead being a rarely seem lesson of how puting those you love above everything else can be dangerous. Not that I think he will go evil, just that Odium will do his best to make it happen, and that there is a real danger it may happen. Of course, if our only extroverted party-going main character goes evil it will also have some unfortunate implications.
  20. I must clarify I do not think Elhokar will become evil. I believe he is actualy managing to escape Odium's influence, and think his ambition can be used for good purposes. And Renarin going evil is not better or more interesting than Adolin going evil. The only thing pointing towards that would be his desire to prove himself, and I think that is not what Odium uses to influence people. The way you(Maxal) speak makes it sound like people would strike deals with the god of hatred and help destroy the world for some temporaly fulfillement. The only character in SA who I believe was selfish enough for this was killed by Adolin in a fit of rage. We should look at the character we know was under Odium's influence: Lin Davar. He didn't make a deal with Odium. He didn't knowvwhat was happening to him. But Odium rioted his fear and fury, closed his eyes to the truth and thrusted him into a world where the only way to protect his daughter was being as powerful and feared as possible. Doens't sound like Renarin. I believe Odium attacked Elhokar using his fear of assassins. The times he screws up trying to be respected are just incompetence mixed with fear of showing weakness. EDIT: I hope I didn't come as agressive. It is just that I hate the idea that simply having ambition is a sign that a character may go evil.
  21. What is worse, being a Silent Gatherer or a Son of Honor?
  22. Yes, but on the internet it is easy to get misunderstood, since great part of the meaning of a regular presencial conversation lies in the non-verbal side. Something that always got in my way, since I always had problems with non-verbal communication. Reading facial expressions was something I was forced to learn as a child instead of something I understood naturaly. It took long to understand why is keeping eye contact with people you talk to is necessary while looking in the eyes of people you don't know from meters away is scary. I still strugle with voice tones and body language at times, even though the obvious hints are fortunately withing my grasp and as time goes I make less and less mistakes. This is also part of why my psychiatrist though I had Asperger's without doing the test. Although by now few would think I am not just an introvert with little regard for society's expectations. EDIT: And to better answer Maxal's previous question, I also have troubles with physical contact, a small tendence to obcess with things that interest me, complete lack of motor coordination(is this how you say it in english?) and some other common symptons. I used to be almost a complete fit as a child, but with time some aspects faded somewhat as I developed some coping mechanisms or on their own. EDIT2: Actualy this whole post was meant as a response to both of Maxal's posts. I don't just go randomly telling people my history.
  23. Again, you are forgeting that maybevyoy would be imune to your own elevated temperature, like how people don't crush themselves after tapping iron.
  24. Eh, I just interpretated them as voidspren(anyone noticed the shadows in his eyes in WoK? The way he looks at Dalinar once is described like the way Lin looks at Shallan after Helaran almost kills him.) that got scared away after the sudden outburst of Radiants around him. This also aligns with him telling Kaladin he scared the shadows away during his "I'll become better" speech.
