So the Highway is the Twilight Zone? Last page we discussed the possibility of it being tangent to the Roundabout

Parshendi + Gemheart? (WoR-Spoiler)
DreamEternal replied to Shaukan-son-Hasweth's topic in Stormlight Archive
Funny thing is, there is a theory Knights Radiant also develop gemhearts, that grow as they speak oaths and can hold stormlight better. I actualy think it is likely that gemstones are essencial for long term spren bonding in Roshar, since they hold Rosharan investiture. -
*Puts on aluminum lined hat* About the resolution... The whole W&W series was unplanned, so it shouldn't be something that influences the antagonists to the point of a total defeat. I've been wondering... what if the antagonists win, or are only driven to a stalemate(sp?)? What if this series protagonists can only delay the plans of the Set and Trell and the men of red and gold? What if their only hope of a lasting victory is leaving their knowledge for the future, wich is uncovered in the next era?

Adolin Radiancy? (Potential Spoilers)
DreamEternal replied to FlatLine's topic in Stormlight Archive
I just want to point out that, while I don't think Adolin's killing of Torol Sadeas was evil, I can't see it as better than walking away, since Sadeas was disacreditated, Urithiru was found, Dalinar is glowing and the world is ending. The Kholins could very well just force Sadeas to abandon his shards and titles without losing their credibility, perhaps even imprision him. A great part of the backstabbing in the alethi politics happens because of the many immunities of a person in power, but displays of obvious superiority, like defeating four shardbearers in the duel of the century, can be used to allow more direct punishments. In this case, the Kholins became the heros of the millenium, and Sadeas would gather very little support if he stood against them, while they are now so above him and everyone else that accusing him of conspiration and assassination attempt could actualy work now, since all Highprinces are neutral or allied to the king. -
This makes me wonder... How lit is this place? If I put a lamp at the center of the roundabout, does it illuminate it? What if I put a lamp outside it, does tge light spread across it? Or does it share the Highway's indeterminable illumination, to reflect its indeterminable location and size?

Uh... Kelsier? I think... Well... Yeah, I just hope he doens't end up killing Vin because Marsh didn't kill him
-
But if no Alley can reach the Roundabout, then the only way in is the Highway. I guess this explains why this place is so insane .

EDIT: I should never have made this post

Vasher. If we just go "sungod obliterates everyone" it will be boring as hell.

Is Syl special, and what could that mean?
DreamEternal replied to Lookalike's topic in Stormlight Archive
You are neglecting the possibility that intelligent spren of all types became more common after Honor's splintering, and that Syl wasn't bonded at the time, but the only Cryptics that weren't bonded were the ones who never left the Cognitive(wich makes sense, since they are very limited when it comes to changing). -
What. The idea they could be taken over by stormspren makes little sense, since they do not bond spren to mantain their intelligence, and are much closer to humans both physically and supernaturaly.

Facepalm-worthy Moments during Readings
DreamEternal replied to Patrick Star's topic in Stormlight Archive
I just realized something: Horneaters are part Parshendi, so maybe that is why their names are poems. -
This is getting annoying. Am I really that bland?

Robert Iradal stepped from the shadows and looked around, unsure of how he ended up in that spatial anomaly. It was hard to navigate shadesmar without being able to use investiture yourself and having your triangulator stolen by your former assistent. Seeing the being who called themself "Shard of Chaos", he abruptly shook his head and stayed silent. Maybe that creature's erratic powers would open an opportunity to escape that dimensional prision. If it didn't kill them all .

Vin!

Bah, if Wax can point him towards a goal I am sure Hoid can do it too.
-
For liking to give hugs way too much.

In Brazil we have a one-eightht made mostly abandoned unpavimented highway that goes from nowhere to nowhere and crosses the Amazon Forest. See, not all highways go from point A to point B, some just go on and on till they end.
-
Are you saying Hoid isn't like that?
-
Since both shards on Sel are splintered, and the selian magics are as far as I remember confirmed by WoB to be different manifestations of the same system, I'd say Sel actualy lacks "pure" systems.
-
Maybe Hoid wants to take him as an apprentice? Like what may happen with Shallan, judging by her flashback?
-
More Szeth for you all: EDIT: and here is one that fits both him and Vasher
-
But he will be late for the time acceleration if he gets caught inside yhe bubble, won't he? That would make him an easy target. I never read Alcatraz, so correct me if I am wrong
