Pretty sure he'll hit the post limit so he'd have to split it up. But yeah.

RIP, sorry, should've saved you, just really wanted Polly dead that turn I've got the same problem. There's a balance I think. Though I know some players think it's a highlight of the specific GM. I didn't find your commentary distracting, and it was pretty funny. It's thankless yeah. Hreo just c/ped each message as a quote and put them in a Google Doc for QF6. You might remember that one, you were a god-tier Seeker and we had a team-up since I was the Tineye But anyway for the benefit of everyone else - it was probably 90% PtV calculations, some 'can we save Polly yeah no sorry she's dead' and some screm when I was tired and lazy and told TUN "I bussed the mfer" forgetting that TUN would probably reasonably read it as referring to this game and giving him an unnecessary heart attack Honestly I think TUN and I and everyone in that committee PM can take responsibility for this - a QF usually has a standard inactivity filter and we forgot to check for that because we were a bit too preoccupied with the voting segment of your ruleset. Sorry I just kind of really V!read Aster so wanted to roll the dice for Demon. Yeah, that's partly the dynamic I was a bit concerned about though I'm not sure how well the Mercy worked. I don't think my performance in this game was particularly good for a bunch of reasons including ongoing health woes and I guess just not being in the zone (came off a disaster game before this too) but I think, like, on paper, if the Elims can't just exe IDK, peak Aman, and peak Aman stays alive to endgame, that's automatically pressure on the Elim team, and that's something that as you say, shifts the dynamic of the game, but I also then feel that the Elim team just needs the thread skills to deal with that pressure with one of their key tools for dealing with problem Villagers gone. And that can be a tough ask depending on who you've got. I do think the ties helped in combination with the cumulative votes due to the ability to carry out the Penguin Night Massacre. My read is that their best PtV was a bit off because of Spirit's timing, tbf so in the end, I don't know it was super imbalanced. I do think it was swingy to some extent but that's the nature of the beast when ties kill and it coming down to the wire is usually a good thing. Tbf I think this was...like almost everyone made it (including Triple B, KSauce, etc.) But I do feel bad for not PMing Aster to check in on what was happening since we already had a PM anyway. I was just kind of overwhelmed with RL hospital woes so I forgot about that and just assumed Aster would show up eventually.

RIP, I need to go nag them too then, my bad sorry! And thanks! I'll login tomorrow to archive the game.

Needs to be Quick Fix Game 75: The Tower's Pressure, sorry!
-
It didn't give you subsconscious Village points with me. The bro points were doing the heavy lifting Actually I was like "do I really wanna exe him and lose the vote counts."
-
Done. Done. Done, and also can you do me a favour and change your sign-up thread to match a normal game thread? For archival purposes in the spreadsheet - just kinda do what TUN and Ash did previously for thread title format. This affects the URL so I can't archive your game until then.

Woulda been funny if Striker flipped Village though. Then we annoint Triple B Pope?

You're more a doc guy aren't you

Araris is running an RP-only LG with our most basic ruleset (which is not all vanilla, it has Mistings and Mistborn.) It should probably be up soon but if you want, we can ping you as soon as it goes up! @Araris Valerian
-
Lmao. Penguin Night Massacre The best part is, we let them get a Round 2 because we both forgot that they could only Soothe or Mercy, not both.
-
Fair. Sorry, I'd've doublechecked but I was way too out of it that day.
-
I got Spirit for you, that's gotta count for something right? Ngl I continued to worry you were Elim but accepted I'd more or less functionally committed to V!you regardless. But just in case, one of the reasons I asked if you could show your working... Edited to add: Dude why'd it have been your fault if we lost to E!TOW?
-
Shoutout to: @|TJ| and @StrikerEZ for being 2/3 of the Triple Bros combination Polly wanted, sorry not sorry, and for apparently turning heel while I'm doing my babyface run @The Unknown Order for our long overdue Village bro arc and trying to compute the PtVs in E!TOW and E!Spirit worlds until we couldn't think anymore @Lord Spirit I think we seem destined to be on opposite sides a lot, but watching your Elim game develop has been impressive and I think we'll both feel excited when the day comes when E!you just dogwalks V!me. @BigBadBagsworth for being the one who kept the thread running @IcedOutPenguin Good job for a first game! @KelsierApologist 2 Elims in one shot in your first sentence wtf @ThatOneWorldhopper Congrats on surviving, and thank you for making sure Spirit died with us! @Aeternum Thank you I was mad sheeping your Triple B and TOW reads even when I wasn't trusting myself on them. Thanks to Aster, Null, Tinwatcher, and everyone else for playing; sorry we D1ed you, KSauce! TJ would definitely have been a better vote though my Pollyvot was not much better Edited to add: Incidentally, I sent this to TJ in our PM at around C7 or so after he was dead. I have struck a new record in the number of villagers sussed or outright killed, but thank you @A Jo in the Bush for Kalhavar being the chairshot guy, I'm making that my thing now just as Jo used to rock defenestration >:P
-
I nearly counter-hammered TOW. I had pre-written TUN and TOW votes ready to c/p. Thanks for GMing @A Jo in the Bush! It was fun, TUN and I finally got our Village bro arc breaking our brains over the PtV combinations. How this became more complex than KKC, IDK.

Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@A Jo in the Bush? Otherwise c/ping from the write-up: TUN (3): Striker<T4>, Spirit<T4>, Striker<T7> TOW (4): Spirit<T7>, TUN, Spirit, TOW Spirit(4): TOW<T7>, Kas<T7>, TUN<T7>, Kas Kas(1): Tinwatcher<T1> I do currently worry that as it stands, E!Spirit soothes to 2 votes and you die. I also worry that the you-votes will haunt us subsequently if we go through to future cycles and just want Spirit flipped at this point. Basically I'm just worried we're trying to be too clever and mech lock the game instead of doing what we should be bloody doing which is voting out the most evil player. Maybe it's something I shouldn't endorse given my accuracy this game. But yeah I just want the I told you so if we do screw the Pooh on this one and Spirit was Evil all along. Edited to add: Ah sorry Jo, ninjaed. TUN's analysis explicitly leaves E!you and E!TOW with clear PtVs. The fact you don't find this an issue worries me. Edited to add 2: But also I think that TUN and I have fried our brains trying to wargame the outcomes and we keep getting different answers each time so who tf knows anymore, certainly not me. Edited to add 3: Like, voting aside how is this the same guy: Turn 4: TUN is Evil due to votes cleared on him (!!!) Turn 5: TUN is village for clearing this many votes, I'm no longer sus of him now that Penguin got major pushback from Kas about it Turn 7: TUN is back on the menu boys! I suppose you could argue it's a villagery fickleness but honestly to me it reads like opportunistic reads Spirit isn't really invested in. Sorry if I'm wrong or tunnelling I guess. This hasn't been my game. But Kalhavar does sell tunnels so I'm playing my character! Edited to add 4: Like ok, I guess the tunnel is getting deeper and darker ( @The Unknown Order, sanity check at some point please?) 1. Turn 4 TUN vote synchs with Striker who also voted TUN. 2. Penguin then furthers the TUN vote by making the push on Turn 5 which I block. Conveniently, this is the time Spirit decides yeah no, we don't vibe with the TUN vote anymore because Kas is saying there's an Elim in the people pushing TUN. 3. And then to me what I consider the actual howler: On Turn 7, as we are considering the possibility of a last Elim after Striker: Spirit now turns back to sussing TUN again, after the Turn 5 volta. What in tarnation is this. This is cleaning house when you should be closing down on your PoE, and here Spirit is deliberately enlargening the PoE by claiming that the good reason isn't a good reason after all. Washing it down by saying he doesn't think TUN is an Elim doesn't really change anything because Para 1 is still postulating an E!TUN world, and 'considering every possibility' IMO this is Spirit trying to keep sidetrain options wide open. Which is followed up by: So you went from "I don't have a read on you" to "I'm not saying I think TUN is an Elim" to "tbh I wanted to vote TUN" -> isn't this functionally saying you think TUN is an Elim? If not, whyever are you leaning towards voting him? And how do we get from "there is some decent evidence you're town but I'm going to override all of that and vote you." (I'm aware Spirit didn't do that, but I think 'leaning TUN' is fairly interpreted as he wanted to vote TUN until that point.) I'm sorry Village. I'm usually dead before lylo because this ain't what I'm good at. I would like to be talked out of this tunnel please. -
Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@ThatOneWorldhopper Dude, if you're Village which I think you are, we kind of really need to vote here. There's no point in you having a vote on yourself, this just hands the game over to the last Elim by letting yourself die. Ngl Spirit's eagerness to vote TOW really makes me sus but at the same time, I acknowledge I could be tunnelling by this point. I just go back to the fact that of everyone remaining from my POV, the only one who hasn't really done Villagery stuff is Spirit. -
Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think my question would be: what has Spirit done by this point that's Villagery in terms of votes? Edited to add: I specify votes because I've felt Spirit has had pretty tonally good posts as an Elim before. By that metric, I basically think you and TUN look more Villagery, while Spirit has just...existed. And if you are still kind of null at endgame, then that itself should be suspect. (TJ would remember this one ) -
Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Was hab ich denn gelesen. [What in tarnation did I just read.] Edited to add: Unless I'm wrong, we may need to just hardcommit this Turn. At least that's my takeaway from the war gaming. I'll note for what it's worth - I rethought TUN a lot last cycle and a bit at the start of this one and I don't want to carry on there. I'm okay with v!TUN. Between TOW and Spirit, if I'm honest, TOW has a way better vote history. Compare: The two final Striker votes are during the cycle Striker first openwoofed so that's not as crucial. You could argue that TOW's accuracy is so high that TOW was just distancing, but I kind of question both the degree to which the Elims would happily want TOW to waste a distancing vote on them persistently (and then potentially need the Soothe) as well as the one-sidedness of TOW's suspicions on Penguin. I'll go over their posts again tomorrow as I need to rest up now but if I were forced to pick now, I'd go for Spirit hands down. -
Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm not sure it does. Spirit as my leading PoE candidate until we can settle whether or not there's an issue. TUN's scenarios all assume he has two votes, but he has three. -
Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
We lose if it's 3-2 because one Soothe on E!Spirit in this world removes two votes, so Spirit is 1-2 against me. I die in that world. -
