  1. I would like to announce that I am very tired.
  2. This is the best Mistborn cover art. I kind of liked the UK ones, too, but then again, they haven't been staring me in the face on my bookshelf for years. I love this cover.
  3. Wow, if they ever make a huge bound edition for all three, that would be an awesome cover.
  4. It's a little different from that. The Allomantic symbols are shared between Feruchemy and Hemalurgy as well (evidenced in the Ars Arcanum of Hero of Ages). But there's a significance to the different glyphs. Essentially, they go back in time. In MB1, you have the modern glyphs used in the Final Empire, which are hard and concrete. MB2's symbols are from around the time of the Ascension. They're more organic than the ones you saw in MB1. So, they are the predecessor to these later symbols. MB3's symbols are distant predecessors, older than the Ascension, and they are extremely wispy, like mists themselves. I don't know how old those are, but I'm sure those symbols are quite ancient.
  5. I'm still extremely confused by Blados and Chalis's motivations. I suppose it's similar to Saturos and Menardi, because we don't really know why they are trying to light the lighthouses until Lost Age. But at least there, Saturos and Menardi had a clear goal, and they kicked butt. Blados and Chalis seemed like a convenient plot device throughout the entire game. "Hey Matthew! You should do this thing for us. Why? WE AREN'T TELLING!" Ugh. So annoying. The more I think about what the Tuaparang were trying to do, the more I realize it made almost zero sense. For this only, I want another sequel, so I can know that Camelot had some plan, they just executed it poorly. Plus, I want Nowell as a party member, and I want to see Jenna and Mia. In any case, the main plot seemed like a total diversion from the real goal. Camelot should have worked harder to make the plot more solid. I also wished that they made more effort to explain why random cities like Ayuthay and Belinsk popped up. Something like "Hey, the Lamakan desert changed after the Golden Sun, and we found these ruins of Ayuthay." Something. Anything.
  6. Welcome to 17th Shard, where we shanghai you into being a moderator!
  7. That... is a very interesting theory. I'm not sure I'm sold on it, however. We don't really know enough about the Parshendi to say.
  8. Oh, I know an important piece to that puzzle, but it's still very much an open question. Theorize away
  9. Oh, in case it's not clear, you guys can make write-ups, too, and we'll post them on the front page
  10. It's traditionally been two or three people. Mostly you two
  11. I'd like to announce that all the members who are reporting the spam are truly awesome. Thanks for your patience while we're working on it.
  12. I texted Mi'ch about it, and she said it wasn't supposed to post. Wordpress has this weird auto-post feature. Whoops! The full post is up now.
  13. My questions must just have been way too awesome to be answered.
  14. All right. I'll make sure to crack down on that.
  15. It's possible that Odium feels he has more important targets first. From what Sazed said, he was still getting used to being a shardholder, so maybe Odium thinks that he can save Sazed for last? Except this is at least several hundred years after Sazed gets the Shard. (Since Alloy of Law is hundreds of years after Mistborn, and AoL is before Stormlight Archive) This. To be fair, we don't know that he hasn't. If Alloy of Law really is before Way of Kings in the timeline, there's a pretty big gap there where just about anything could happen. Well, you have a point, but I also have a point in that there's no evidence saying he is paying attention to Sazed
  16. No, because no one is getting close enough to my bracers.
  17. It also supports our term Shardholder for being incredibly convenient, too.
  18. You win the You've Won the Internet Award. Agreed. That was awesome.
  19. On my side, we don't need to read previous posts in a topic.
  20. Well, at the very least, you're on Twitter, so I was, uh, partially right. Let's go with that.
  21. I am double posting to note that I still maintain post count dominance. Double posting in this topic has helped me with that goal. Of course, Ee is kicking my butt stalking the forums, as well as everyone else. Too bad the Mistborn RP doesn't measure time logged in. I stalk there much more than I do here.
  22. I totally did not catch this. That's spectacular. Unsurprisingly, Brandon proves he's much smarter than me
  23. I was never sure how Dreamworks would adapt it, anyways, but it would've been spectacular for Alcatraz to get more public awareness, at the very least.
  24. Whoa, Kendra! Hi! We missed you! <3
  25. Hey TPaS! I remember seeing you on TWG. I'm glad you made it to this neck of the internet! I might be biased, but I think this area of the internet is awesome.
