Your User Settings On the top right hand of the screen, you can access your user controls. There you can see your notifications, your messages, and if you click the box which says your username, a dropdown menu appears. There, you can access your profile and your settings. Profile There's a lot of customization you can do on your profile. On the upper right of your profile (but below the navigation bar), there are the buttons Edit Profile and Cover Photo. Cover Photo lets you put a photo on your profile, just like Facebook. Edit Profile lets you set your birthday, custom title, enable status updates, put in contact methods, and make an About Me page for your profile. Account Settings On the left hand side on this screen, you can adjust your email, password, or display name. Under Account Security you can enable security questions or Two-Factor Authentication. Under Signature, you can enable yourself to have a signature which appears below your posts on the forums. Back in the Overview tab, there is also Notification Settings, where you can adjust how you get notified both in-site and email notifications. You can hit Edit Profile for another way to edit your profile, like we talked about above. Lastly, there is Ignored Users, where you can stop seeing content from members, should you choose.

Other Capabilities Member Statuses, Following Members Yes, you can post statuses here, kind of like Facebook. On any member’s profile, you can follow them to get notified about content they post. Then, you can post status updates. Lastly, on any member’s profile, you can also comment there, which acts somewhat like a Facebook wall. Reputation Points On the bottom right of topics, posts, and comments, you’ll see an up button. Here, you can upvote a post in the site’s reputation system. If you think something is awesome, upvote them! Reputation points are carried throughout the site and are displayed whenever make a post. When you give out reputation, it’s anonymous to other members, so feel free to let your voice be heard!

I posted something like this on the Mistborn RPG, so it's only fair I post it here, too! 17th Shard is going to interview Brandon on the 16th. What questions would you like us to ask on your behalf? Now, know that the interview will focus heavily on the Way of Kings (and since it won't air until after the book is released, there may be a few spoilers), so naturally, if you ask an awesome question about that, it is much more likely to get to Brandon himself! That doesn't mean you shouldn't post up questions about his other works, of course. So, what do you guys have?

Brandon is constantly RAFOing people when they inquire about an atium/lerasium alloy (for those not in the know, lerasium is the metal Elend ate). What do you think its Allomantic ability is? And, what about its Feruchemical and Hemalurgic effects?

If don't already know, Mistborn has been optioned to become a film. That may still mean a fillm won't happen, but it's a cool first step. That won't stop us from talking about choices on actors! I'll start. Personally, I was always a fan of the notion of Nathan Fillion for Kelsier, but then someone brought up Robert Downey Jr., and he might be the perfect choice. For Vin, I'm also pro-Summer Glau, but there's a big Ellen Page movement on TWG. Thoughts?

It's the front and rear endsheet art which is really cool. Both show sweet icons which far surpass the excellence of the Mistborn icons. We have a map of the world... and a map of Shadesmar. Sweet. Let's discuss those icons. At first, since there were groups of four on the ends, I was thinking there would be sixteen of these. There's not; there are twenty total. Ten big ones, ten small ones. My theory is that these represent the ten Heralds and their respective order of the Knights Radiants.

Hi everyone. Here is a known error with this forum. Multiple people have reported getting an error that says "Session Verification error", and promptly suggests that you go log out and try again. Unfortunately it gives you the same error when you try to log out. As a result, you can't post anything. I'm not sure what's causing this, and I'm working to fix it so it doesn't happen again. However! If you get this error: Clear your cookies on your browser and reload the site. You should be able to log in without trouble. In Firefox, this option is under Tools -> Clear Recent History. Apologies for the inconvenience. We hate it too.
