1. Unfortunately, I'm at the behest of IPS for this core search functionality. That's totally up to them and I can't directly do that. I suppose I can include a lot of the Taldain stuff now. There will be a reputation update... sometime. It takes a lot of work to shift things around in a way I like. I will say that I am still not sure if I want non-cosmere titles in there. I have focused on making it cosmere only in particular for a few reasons. It's hard enough to try and rationalize "relative power level" with the current titles. Adding in other universes makes it much harder. I know people do want Reckoners titles, but I'm leery on this. Hey, I really appreciate your apology and it is absolutely accepted. Josh and I's comments were not meant to be accusations; we were just very confused because we didn't do anything on the site, and you came along very aggressively in your initial post. Ah so you got the tablet site instead of the desktop. This is much less worrying to me. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps your window or something was sized weirdly so you got the tablet view? That doesn't totally hold up if you always keep your browser sized exactly the same. But if you resize your browser past a threshold you would get the tablet view. So you can absolutely get the tablet view on desktop depending on the sizing; it is a responsive design. But if you kept your browser the same size... I don't know, I'm not sure. EDIT: Let me know if I misinterpreted what you meant of course.

Uh, it's kind of complicated and silly as to why it isn't yet, but it is in the plans with the SoundCloud integration. That's why I pay for it... But yeah it is planned to be, as well as on other distribution services like Google Play. Admittedly this had been on back burner for a while from site upgrades but I'll put it higher on the list of stuff to do.

I would love to see screenshots, for sure, if you made them.

Hey guys. I have a request for you. Most of you who post in this thread are extremely active, and would notice if the site's design changed. Could you post in this thread if about a week ago you noticed anything weird that the site did: This apparently occurred on Monday. If you were especially active on Monday and noticed weirdness with the site design, please post there. If you were especially active Monday and did not notice anything at all, also post there. I would also make a personal plea that no one starts a witch hunt or any downvote train. I'm curious if anyone saw design changes like this person says because I (and the staff) did not do such things.

Xaladin, can you please not accuse me of some malicious intent? I can swear upon you that I did not do anything to change the site interface, and I'm genuinely confused as to how it possibly COULD have changed. I'm not trying to hide anything from you. I had no motive to change the UI, which would cause a lot of effort upon my part, and certainly would have required me to make some notice to make huge changes (as there would have been downtime.) I don't know how I can possibly prove to you that I have, in fact, done absolutely nothing on the site for quite some time. I think there may be some kind of mistake? If some error happened that made the site load weird (which is possible!) or maybe you went to some weird area of the site that wasn't the main IPS install (also possible), then obviously I'd like to know so I can fix it. I am frankly offended that you can't take my word that nothing happened. Again, that would be totally pointless for me to secretly hide some new site design. I can make site designs hidden from regular members, so if it was on my testbed you would not have seen it. If it wasn't ready, I wouldn't have made it live. I like this version of the site after having put a crap ton of hours in it, and I really don't want to do a redesign on it for many years now. Having said all that, it truly makes no sense to me that you are throwing up these accusations, because it doesn't even make sense for me to do what you say I did. If the site design did change, I certainly would expect many people who log onto the site much more than me to corroborate. If anyone does, can you post here to corroborate? I'm just saying. If I made a site design and changed stuff on the live site, why would I have any motivation to try and hide it from members? I make no secret that I have screwed up when doing site work (remember the awards system? It broke because I'm an idiot). If what you're saying did occur, I totally would have just said, "Oops I made a mistake, pay no mind to the person holding the Well of Ascension and he broke some things...". I'm just... I'm very confused. If what you're saying is true and that i covered it up, this is by far the lamest conspiracy theory ever. I would like to figure out what happen, but I can promise you I made absolutely no layout changes to the site. If you remember when you logged on to see this different layout I could do some digging in error logs or other things to try and explain it. Screenshots would also help if you had them. I would appreciate if we could be mature and say that, hey, maybe you saw weirdness, but you also understand that maybe it was a bug, and definitely not intentional on my part. You have to understand that from my point of view I read this thread and literally do not understand how the site design could have changed, and if so, how only one person noticed it. We have made smaller changes and I've seen a ton of regulars in the General Discussion board notice it instantly. Maybe this is just a weird mistake. But I promise you, I literally have not done site work since June. I don't know how to say this without sounding somewhat snarky (and it is not my intent to do so), but would you like a large itemized list of 17S stuff I need to do but haven't done? It is very long, and design work thankfully is nowhere on that list.

There have been actually no changes to the site since the big update in June. I am very curious as to what you think did change? I mean the mobile site and desktop sites do have a bit different structure but I worked hard so that there was a lot of consistency between the two areas. As Josh said there will be ads but the reason that that is taking a long time--at significant cost to us (particularly me)--is because we want to make them relevant and unobtrusive. Obviously we will never have pop-up ads or any number of horrible things. I would also say that instead of raging you could ask where to find a certain thing. Trust me I get frustrated by some stuff too but usually the answer is very simple. In this scenario, the thing you're looking for maybe was just not something you considered in the big site update in June. Nothing has changed to navigation, either top level navigation or forum navigation. So if you have specific questions, I'm happy to answer. If you want to falsely rage, I supposed you can but that seems fruitless.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not a thing. I was always under the impression it was an aesthetic thing on not having too many replies in a thread. If anything it did not come from the staff as a directive.

I suppose that is worth considering but it is problematic. Many want to discuss large scale Scadrial things across all books. So in some sense it is difficult to isolate information. Also Alloy has always been in that board. It just seems to me that dividing them makes the problem that Bands/Secret History had where people didn't know where to post things that were related to both of those works.
