So I guess I blocked the right person then. Unless somebody being attacked who had protection wouldn't show up in the rollover?

Anyway, I blocked Ash.

Ashbringer, then

@Ashbringer, do you have anything to say for yourself?

I can buy Ash being elim. As I mentioned last cycle, he’s the person that voted Whysper C3 that I am most concerned about. I’m also fairly comfortable with Quinn being village at this point, after giving things a think during the night.

Political Vengeance Event has been triggered! For the duration of the next two cycles (D6 & D7) all parties involved in a tied vote will be killed.

After all that has just happened, I am throwing about half of what I thought out the window. I agree with Ash being an elim, but who else should we vote out since everyone tied will be exed?

Oh please no can we just exe Ash? If we try to tie it with someone, and that person turns out to be village, then the elims can keep votes on Ash for a while, switch last-minute, kill the villager, and win.

Yeah, I'd agree with Quinn here that we should play things safe. If we grinch both an elim and a villager, then Quinn would have to get another successful roleblock to stop the game from ending. Or everyone would have had to buy Armor last night. Which Quinn obviously didn't.

Oh, wait, you meant role-blocked, didn't you. Okay good :P

Oh, right, voting xD Ash

Voting is a very important part of our society! Though... probably not Alethkar society.

Ash being elim is, unfortunately, not for sale. At least, I'm pretty sure. Mat, are there any secret Market items?

I think Quinn is a good candidate for a tie. I mean, look! Four people just blindly followed her judgement with absolutely none of their own!

Ashbringer and I agree.

Last I checked we didn't agree at all...

So...

How's everyone's week? Mine seems to have been busy. Wonder why.

Well, I managed to convince a bunch of villagers (and you) to kill off the king of Alethkar. that's probably the most notable event on my week, although I can't say how it impacts the quality of my week, exactly. I guess Ruthar just wanted revenge for his future self having an unfortunate encounter with a different monarch of the same family.

Oh! I didn't think of that! Yeah, we better just stick to one person.

Why's everyone voting Ash?

Cuz I blocked his action last Night and there wasn't an NK. So either they forgot to submit the action, which I find unlikely, or I blocked the elim submitting it--which is Ash. (well, or I'm lying, I suppose : P)

Oh. Smart. But we have no way of knowing if you're lying or not, yes?

Technically, no. But if I am elim then...

Note that there was no NK. If I'm on the team, you can be pretty sure that the elims wouldn't all have forgotten to NK someone, because I'd have done it even if the others weren't on. And there's no way I'd hold off on purpose, because all we'd have had to do to win was kill a villager. Therefore, the person who submitted the kill must have been blocked (since protection would, I presume, show up in the write-up).

So if I'm on the team, that means that there's a village roleblocker out there who blocked either me or one of my teammates but hasn't come forward to challenge my roleblocking claim with their own yet for some reason. And everyone's posted by now, while no one's said anything, so... yeah. Take that how you will.

Yeah, that's smart. Ashbringer, unless you have a really reasonable defense for that.

Night Six: A Jar

When is a door not a door? When it is an insane kandra-human fusion that serves a rogue Shard.
-The Wise Words of Philico, 1173.7.5.8

“So, I’ve been busy lately. So? Just because my schedule is full doesn’t mean that a significant block of it was illegal,” AraRaash grumbled.

It… was illegal.

“Still doesn’t mean it’s always that way.”

The pair of them were currently locked in a small building. Someone was taking an axe to the door. Faleast wasn’t entirely sure how many people were outside – AraRaash had claimed to see at least a thousand soldiers – but he knew they were all very, very angry. Killing a king had that effect on a population.

“I didn’t kill the king!” AraRaash said. “The people were the ones who went and decided ‘Oh, let’s execute Striker for crimes against Alethkar, he definitely won’t be Elhokar in disguise’ and look how that turned out for them. All I did was lock a door. That’s much less illegal.”

AraRaash. You locked Elhokar in a soundproof closet as he was bleeding out.

“Okay, maybe when you put it that way it is my fault. But I still didn’t… wait. A soundproof closet? Why would Elhokar have one of those?”

I don’t know. He’s paranoid. But it doesn’t make sense.

“SEE?” AraRaash shouted, turning to a corner where movement had caught his eye. “You made me a Doorman, Philico! A Doorman! How by the Almighty’s Tenth Name am I supposed to have gone about killing the King of Alethkar with a storming DOOR?”

Philico didn’t respond. Perhaps he was still upset about the whole Gneorndin business. Or… what had happened before that? Fallion’s Tears wasn’t Faleast’s fault… well, it sort of was. But that was more a group effort. Maybe he was yelling at the wrong Sleepless.

“Out of my way,” a voice said from outside. Then a Shardblade rammed through the door, which promptly fell off what used to be its hinges. Well, it had lived a good life.

Adolin stepped through the threshold. AraRaash was impressed. He really did look like the son of the Blackthorn.

“Hi,” AraRaash said. “You know, I was wonder-“

The Shardblade promptly cut off any further words that he tried to say.

Ow.

Ashbringer was stabbed! He was a Doorman!

Okay. Cool. So we all agree I'm village now? :P

I'm... not sure what to say here. I'll try to figure out who to block ig. If I don't guess right then I'm dead, unless the village Bodyguard that may or may not exist feels like protecting me. Yeah.

I guess I should probably compose my most current suspicions so that you guys have them to work off of in case I die tonight, but I don't want to post them before the very end of the turn because I worry that'll give away who I'm blocking : P

Yeah :/ If we weren't 1 away from parity, I'd be wishing to KO myself to remove the distraction. But I'll do my best to convince everyone that the last elims are elsewhere.

Oh yeah. Food for thought, but it might be worth having Dalinar claim. I think I already know who he is, but it rules out an option for Quinn to worry about roleblocking.
