Eternum he/him Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Feeling sort of unwell, but I’ll post some thoughts. Quote Actually, going along other player's analysis is NAI for Pyro (from what I've seen so far). I'm not happy because the players are voting for him simply because he added to the train. Elim bandwagoning would be too easy to catch isn't it? Doubt an elim would try that in the first cycle when they can go under the radar by voting for someone with much less number of votes. I'd still look for a better alternative. Quote My defence of Pyro's actions were my own, not based on other player's reads. It's from my experience of playing with them. I did not use Devotary's post as a reason as she told them she believes him when he said his votes on Fifth were a placeholder. I said him shift votes and retracting them for no reason in normal for him and shouldn't be AI. There's a difference. You are tunneling, man. You're tunneling hard. You over-analyzed my vote Xino, and you're over-analyzing vote on Sil. Either that or you're setting me up for a mislynch seeing as you planted the seeds of my suspicion back in C1. You're also conveniently ignoring the valid points I made in my defence, like the choice of xino as the elim kill wouldn't make sense if I was an elim since it would directly implicate me. Your whole response seems to just want to brush off my defence rather than understand my reasoning. While that's good tactic, it's also important to try and understand the intentions of a villager trying to prevent his mislych. Think from both sides, what would you do if you were a villager trying to prevent your mislynch? Since you're fine with lynching me because I was the first one to suggest a Silber lynch, then it's only fair, by your logic, that it would be make sense to lynch you next cycle when I flip village because you are the first one to start a train on me. Do you think that's fair? @TJ Shade First off, I realize now that I misunderstood the post I quoted above. I saw that as you saying people had said Pyro’s playstyle is NAI and not you saying that, in your experience, Pyro isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary for them. Still disagree with the second part, but that’s besides the point. I also understand that it seemed like I was brushing off your argument, but I was just trying to be as brief as possible. As for Xino’s death, I didn’t really take it into account. His death mostly seems like a frame, since your vote on Xino did not stick at all. I didn’t want to get into the IKYK it causes because it’s honestly fruitless, so I’d say it’s NAI in regards to you. While I still genuinely don’t see the logic behind your vote on Silber and agree with Striker and Mint that your tone seemed very defensive, after rereading the thread, your defense and other posts defending you, I noticed that I was trying to make everything fit into the elim!TJ narrative before anything else. If you got lynched and flipped village, I would understand the suspicions levied against me, answer questions and respond to the accusations that would ensue and see where that leads. If the destination is my lynch, so be it, but I won't just let myself get lynched. Honestly, there’s little to gain from pressuring you further, I’m not certain about lynching you at this point, and having already tunneled on you last cycle I’m hesitant to vote for you again, but I don’t like any of the current trains. I am sort of confused as to where the Mint train actually came from (if someone could summarize it that’d be great), I think the suspicions regarding Ventyl aren’t based on much and Striker I have a decent village read on. I think I’ll place my vote on Truthwatcher for now and see if I can stay awake until rollover.

I have more neutral reads on Ventyl and Truthwatcher. It doesn't seem like there will be any support for lynching my main suspicions. Agreed. I mean, I am really not getting any sort of suspicious stuff from Striker. Then again, I'm a new player but they've been very helpful so far and I think not a lot could be learned if they did get lynched.
Mint11 she/her Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Alright. There's an hour left until rollover and the vote counts have barely shifted. Voting on Striker for the sake of self-preservation but I would really rather that another alternative came up. Also @The_Truthwatcher if you are indeed village, I think it's best if you vote on a suspicion rather than an inactive. Frozen Mint (5): TJ Shade, Gears, Vapor, Ventyl, Fifth Striker (3): Lahilt, Straw, Frozen Mint TJ Shade (1): Striker Ventyl (1): Mystic Sparkrunner (1): Truthwatcher Truthwatcher (1): Eternum
Gears Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 @Straw, @Fifth Scholar, we now have an opportunity to lynch The_Truthwatcher. Should we take it or prioritize the Mint lynch?
+Lotus she/her Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Changing my vote back to TJ Shade from Ventyl in the hope that maybe more people will be inclined to change their vote to him if he has two marks.

+Lotus she/her Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 2 minutes ago, Straw said: Hmm, what's your argument against TJ now? Honestly just because I really don’t think Mint or striker is a Elim and that TJ is more likely, and I don’t want my vote to count for nothing, even though it looks like it will probably head that way anyway Although I could be wrong.
Fifth Scholar he/him Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) I was about to vote on Ventyl after doing a re-skim of the thread and noticing someone else actually had voted for him, but that’s now been retracted and I’m not sure there’s enough support for his lynch to be a viable alternative to Mint. I still don’t buy the arguments against Striker very much. Lotus, do you have a case against TJ, or do you simply not like the Mint lynch? Gears, I’d again rather not lynch Truthwatcher when he said he’d be offline, as it’s not really fair if he can’t defend himself and gets killed by a lynch he didn’t know existed. Edit: Never mind, your post ninja’d mine. I’d be willing to join a Ventyl lynch, or to stay on Mint. Edited June 23, 2020 by Fifth Scholar
Ashbringer he/him Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Now that I'm looking, I think Striker has been kinda suspicious. He voted on TJ with no real reason, and when asked by TJ why he only said he thought that TJ was "being defensive", which I don't see. In his last post he mentioned that he might be tunneling, but he's left his vote there so far with no other suspicions. I don't know if that's normal or not. Why would TJ not be defensive? Nobody really wants to get bandwagoned early in the cycle, Village or Elim, and since no one else was up for the lynch at that point it's not like he could do anything to shift the lynch off him aggressively. His only real course was to try and defend himself and offer another target (Mint), which is exactly what he did, and the Village accepted it. I think that's NAI.
+Lotus she/her Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 @Fifth Scholar I still would prefer to vote Ventyl, but nobody seemed to agree much.
Gears Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 So in the 20 minutes left in the cycle, do we want to lynch Ventyl?

I would be fine doing so, but don’t want to get Striker lynched. I’ll go Mint Ventyl and switch back if that ends up putting Striker in the lead. At this point I’m more concerned with not lynching him than with which of my two suspicions I lynch, but the Mint bandwagon is still giving me an odd feeling. Just now, MysticLotus said: Also, what does NAI mean? Not alignment indicative. 1 minute ago, Gears said: So in the 20 minutes left in the cycle, do we want to lynch Ventyl? Dunno how much support there is but I’ve taken the first step.

Seems like a lot of you are very wary of him and while I can sort of understand, I don't see it the same way, so it'll be interesting to see how he flips. Truthwatcher Ventyl.
Mint11 she/her Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Striker. Ventyl. Man, you guys love making last minute decisions.
Fifth Scholar he/him Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I just realised my rationale for lynching Ventyl was in the Shard-eaten post and not my summarised version. A very condensed version because I don’t have time to type up a long analysis on mobile: the reasons I provide here for my suspicion last cycle, as well as the post this cycle which seemed to offer little beyond a defence of themselves and a contribution to a bandwagon without much analysis. And that...was a very quick swing. I’m not sure how I feel about that, and am a little tempted to switch back to Mint again. @Devotary of Spontaneity @Lahilt I see you two lurking. What are your thoughts?
Mist she/her Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Mint I think Ventyl was just trolling. I need to post sooner. I will post with reads tonight my time.
Ashbringer he/him Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Ummm... I really don’t like this. This is weird and it came from nowhere. Is there even a reason we’re lynching Ventyl? Sorry Striker, but you’re my only lead and I need to put a vote somewhere.
Devotary of Spontaneity Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) Ventyl(5): Fifth, Gears, Eternum, Mint, Lotus Frozen Mint (4): TJ Shade, Vapor, Ventyl, Mist Striker (4): Lahilt, Straw, Ash, Devotary TJ Shade (1): Striker Sparkrunner (1): Truthwatcher I'm fine with not lynching Mint, but I'm not a huge fan of the Ventyl lynch. His playstyle so far this game is not at all similar to what he was doing as an elim in LG66. I guess the alternative here would be Striker, I haven't done nearly enough research into this vote, but it's where I'll put it for now. Edit: Mostly Striker for tonal reasons, 'someone smarter figure out the Mat kill', and somewhat odd POE on the TJ vote and clearing people for not great reasons. StrikerEZ he/him Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Well, I wasn’t even around to see that almost swing onto me. That’s...interesting. Was Devotary the only one who voted on me for a reason besides just tone, or did I miss the others’ reasoning while I was skimming through the end of the thread? Also, the choice to kill Gears seems a bit enlightening to me. So far all of our killed players have been semi-active to pretty active. Could the elims possibly be inactive players? Maybe they’re also semi-active? First of all, I am really not a fan of how quickly that lynch shifted off of Frozen Mint. Obviously people aren’t going to lynch TJ, so I’ll go for another player I suspect who people have previously expressed a desire to lynch and who all of a sudden had a sudden shift off of them last minute. 1
+Lotus she/her Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Huh. A significant number of the remaining players must be Elims. I’m surprised we haven’t gotten any yet.
