NameIess Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (Nonagon was a very accomplished ninga, or so he claimed)
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (But he only told himself that because Nin had bested him so thoroughly several years back that lying to himself was the only way to keep his self-esteem.)
NameIess Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (It was an embarrassing tale, one that we shan’t tell he- Several years ago: Two figures stood facing each other atop a plateau. Around them raged a fierce thunderstorm, with a wind that threatened to blow them over the edge and rain that fell like knives. One figure raised a fist angrily and shouted towards the other. “NIN! You good-for-nothing useless old fool! How dare you steal my apprentice!” The response was slow in coming, and when it did come it was calm, spoken in a low voice that somehow carried over the sound of the storm. ”I did not steal her. She decided to leave you of her own free will.”
Immortal Platypus Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Platypus wondered how Nin had gotten back into this. He thought that Nin had been consumed by Avatar. He shrugged and his Author returned to the depths of semi-inactivity.
NameIess Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (This was of course a misconception as it was Nin's master that had been consumed by Avatar, not Nin himself)

Vyzkel He/Him Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) (another common mistake, this one time crashed the economy and started The Great Depression because of a typo from America’s Author) Edited June 19, 2024 by Vyzkel Willbender
NameIess Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (But enough about that. We should not get back to the story of Nin and Nonagon’s great battle, the one we definitely aren’t going to tell you about)
Vyzkel He/Him Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (Indeed, let’s get back to the battle between Mim and Nerdy) Mim lunges towards Nerdy, but not the jumping kind, the workout kind.
Lunamor she/her Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Mim wore an excessive amount of clothes. Spoiler 1
Vyzkel He/Him Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Nerdy laughed at this spectacle, having been watching whole thing with their swords to the side.
NameIess Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (This Nerdy was a clone of the real Nerdy who’d taken over the fight to avoid godmodding problems)
Vyzkel He/Him Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (Indeed, this clone was created to test the skills of the most skilled unskilled people in every universe, this was to inspire them to work harder)
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 This put him in a perfect position for the real @NerdyAarakocra to strike back, should they choose to.
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Which they then did. The clone of Nerdy disappeared as Nerdy brought their sword down upon Mim.
Vyzkel He/Him Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Mim attempted to catch it like he was super cool, but it just cut off his hand.
NameIess Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) Fortunately, Nonagon had taught him the amazing blood-staunching technique that he’d used in his close-fought battle against Nin. — some time ago — Nonagon screamed in agony as Nin’s blade hit him in the shoulder, blood spewing from the wound. He collapsed to the ground holding his shoulder, the battle over in a single blow. A shadow loomed over him, and he looked up through tears of pain to see Nin the great ninja, his most hated enemy. “Here, let me show you something that will help with that wound.” — Thus ended the first duel of Nin and Nonagon — Mim’s severed wrist stopped bleeding, and he pulled a dagger out with his remaining hand, glad that Nonagon was so incredible. Although he was certain that this was be a rather basic technique, as it was the only one of his secret master’s techniques that he’d been able to learn so far. Edited June 21, 2024 by NameIess
Vyzkel He/Him Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Nin opened the door, suspicious that it might be Non.
NameIess Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Seeing that it wasn’t Non back for another rematch, Nin waved and said hello. “Have you seen my new apprentice? I’ve only had him for a few days and he keeps running off.”
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 It was quite plausible that he would be eaten by a dragon, as there was in fact, a dragon lurking around.

Nerdy raised an eyebrow, teleported about 50 cubits into the air, and brought the sword down upon Mim for the second time this duel.
