“You still call me a friend after you murder my entire family? I have seen it. I watched you try to kill me by my own blade, the one that keeps Desolation from us…”

Falvan’s eyes wandered into the distance.

”I have been to the outskirts of this plane of existance. There, I suffered vision of things to come, things that happen, and things that have been. And I saw you. There, among the outlines, scribbled and scratched and about by being higher than I am…for now…was you. I watched as you took my arm, threw me to the ground, and released my soul.

“You cannot be my friend of that is our future. Our destinies lie together. I kill you now, or you kill me then. And by the power of the author before us, though now a humble character, I swear to see my duty through. My duty of protection. Are these things that which you will utter as you fall away from us, into the beyond?”

Falvan eyed the blade shimmering into existence. His wings tensed.

”I have seen this also, dismiss your arms, and I shall let go of your arm.”

@Ancient Elantrian

”Once author, you spoke once about the outside. I have seen this. But I must know. How did you come in?”

@Scars of Hathsin

Falvan is super mislead. He has been wandering the outskirts of TLT, where it is possible to see beyond to the Authors. He is bent on becoming one of these, and has plotted and planed to use The once author in this plot. As for Arranis, Falvan did in fact see these things, but he misunderstood them. Those are things that were ideas, etched and sketches and scribbled about, so they were not clear. Those were things that might happen if Falvan took a different path. However now that he is seen them, he is bent on taking the same path that leads towards them, thinking that it is the inevitable future declared by Fate. After his travels to this area, his mind in unstable, being in a place beyond his character comprehension.

Also, anybody is free to join this plot.

"I... I was forced. I didn't have a choice. Ryss..." He winced, a jolt of pain flowing through him as his author controlled him. "He made me come down."

Shoe wondered about his author. What would it be like to have that much power over someone, he wondered.

He thought about how he had no control over his actions; how everything he did and thought was predestined by some unknowable entity.

He began to worry.

Arranis grunts at what Falvan was saying. I think he has gone somewhat insane. Maybe it was the world border. He pulls at something in the air, which seemed to break like petals falling off a flower, and his spren zips out, circling him. This place safe. She sends through the bond. "Yes it is safe Astra" he says, "Do you know what happened to Falvan?" She giggles. "Why would I know?". Arranis rolls his eyes. "Perhaps because your a slice of divinity?" Her smile widens "That's right" she taunts him before becoming more serious. "Yes that is from the border, he probably saw something" Arranis glances at her deadpan, "Thank you for your fantastic insight, o great one, anything else?" she shakes her head. Arranis groans, watching as Falvan went off.

Arranis glances at the new person, noticing no extreme power signatures coming off him, at least at the moment. "I am good" he yells back at the person.

“Greetinga young adventures, what are you doing today? Can I interest you in a grand course through the castle of Extrention? To the treasure of that king great and powerful. Cleptos?” Woe spoke with granduer.

”I am Woe, your new friend. Can I help you to a way of exploration and glory?”

Shoe nodded that he could. Whether he nodded of his own volition, he knew not.

"Nice to meet you Woe" Arranis says, his mind calculating, discerning if this figure in front of him had any threat. None. None that he could see. He walks up, where is this extrenetion place you mention.

It was even harder than spelling "unfortunatley" correctly the first time.

bookwyrm, that is the most true thing I have ever read.

Hacob watched Shoe with intrigue. It was always interesting when one confronted their true nature here. Perhaps Shoe could be the next Kilometers Fifty-lives.

Shoe stared at the man who was watching him. He wondered what the man thought of Shoe. He then wondered how the man knew what he was thinking, and vice versa.

The Once-Author high-fives him. “Should have been ‘wow’ not ‘woe’”

“Well usually narrator names have meaning. Mine is unfortunate…but that doesn’t metter now, does it? Nope! What we should be pondering is this man over there…”

He pointed at Hacob

“…and the adventure I am about to take you on!”

“Hmmm… a good choice. Much honor and glory there, and besides the legendary spear, there is much treasure their as well. The trail is mostly hidden, that leads to our goal, but we can start at the tower of ostridos. There, on the walls, are the first clues.”

Shoe wanted to go after the Spear as well, whatever it was.

He pulled a spear out of his pocket to demonstrate to the others what he wanted.

“Already getting ready I see, nice to meet you, Nogard, I am Woe. Shall we set off to the first clue?”
