Shoe's a guy lol

Shoe walked over to woe, slightly concerned.

Oh sorry! Well, ok… he, I guess

Arranis glances at the tigers, lashing the ground with a reverse lashing. "That should hold them right" he says to his spren, who shrugs

The tigers stuck to the floor, but continued walking losing bones to the lashing. They lost about half of theirs bottom limbs that stuck as they all launched first at Woe. He disappeared.

"Huh," said Nogard, looking at the tigers. "So did you guys set off a trap, or...?"

He suddenly had an idea. He went to the silent woman and picked up one of the axes.

The old man shrugged, leaning heavily on his staff. "Seems to me that someone else must have interfered. Didn't see any tigers last time I was here."

The eyeless woman stood swiftly, snatching up her other axe and swinging it towards the arm Shoe had used to steal her weapon.

All six tigers jumped in sync at Nogard.

Nogard yelped and held up his arms in an ineffectual gesture of shielding.

Shoe parried the woman's ax, then chopped up all but one of the tigers attacking Nogard.

Nogard was just letting out the beginnings of a sigh of relief when the tiger crashed directly into him.

Falvan swwoped back towards the tower. He felt the simmering, blistering anger rise inside of him as his friends—friends once upon a time—had already forgotten about him, and were now set upon the glory of that dumb spear. It was a good spear but Falvan knew better.
He came up to the roof of the tower. It was cone shaped, but horizontal enough that he could comfortably stand. Another figure stood up there. As Falvan neared, the dim shadow was showed to be two people. Falvan pulled a hood over his head. The others already had theirs in position.

The three people approached each other. Falvan recognized the first as Woe, the narrator who he knew would be loyal, finally finding a purpose. Falvan knew all about that struggle. Having power was no remedy.

The other person, Falvan only knew by reputation. He was an assassin. Falvan had no certainty about his loyalty, and even now was wary of him, though he did not show it.

”I have earned their trust.” Woe spoke in a hushed voice. Falvan could barely decipher the words.

”They are set, if they even make it out of this room, to go to the next clue’s location. There we will have the perfect spot to ambush them. They will have to fight Falvan’s old enemy…but that should never happen.” Woe looked at the third figure.

Falvan leaned closer, entranced by the mysterious person. “Yesss, they will be gone by the time they even leave this country. You have my skill to depend on.” Dark black mist escaped from under the hood. Who was this creature?

Falvan nodded. And then after a moment they each left. Woe disappeared. Falvan flew. The strage assassin transformed into a shodowiy subsance and leaked downwards.

Wow appeared again. “Stop!” He reached out his hands, exploding the skeleton tiger that jumped at Nogard. However the pieces began to reform again. “This is interesting.”

The woman stood up, mouth twisting in anger, and ran at Shoe, striking relentlessly with her remaining axe. "None will claim the spear! It is I who deserve it, and only I!"

Subversion decided to make her appearance, forming out of a shower of sparks next to Falvan. "Mind telling me what happened to you?"

Back in the tower, the old man pointed his staff and three of the tiger skeletons were suddenly dragged to the ground by some invisible force and held there immobile.

I don’t think Falvan has ever spoken to Subversion. He has seeen her, but never had a conversation. I’m I right?

the tigers crumble, but attempt to reform unsuccessfully.

Shoe watched this go down, and munched on a marshmallow claw.

It pops out of existence. All the rest of the tiger skeletons and panther skeletons disappear in a startling pop.
Woe looks around strangely before his eyes land on the woman.
“Who are you?”

“Who are you?”

Correct, I think. They don’t know each other very well.

”Well?” Subversion continued flying along beside Falvan. “You seem to have gone insane, and it’s a rare thing that can drive a Narrator insane.”

The woman with no eyes struggles to her feet. “I am the one who is worthy of the spear! I led a quest to gain it long ago, but was betrayed by my fellow adventurers and left here, blinded and unable to read the murals I needed to progress in the quest.”

"Murals?" Nogard asked curiously.

“A narrator! I am no narrator! I will be however. I will be greater than a mere narrator. I will become an author. But my plots have only started. My plans are set to motion. Even I can not stop the rolling boulder that will bring disaster to my enemies. But I am not insane! Insanity is for those too weak to become more. What do you care anyways?”

"Oh," said Nogard suddenly, looking around the room. "Those murals." He pondered them for a moment, trying to make sense of what he was looking at.
