There are two doors on each side of you and one in front of you. The door on your immediate left is locked, however.

Via chuckles, “haha ok swiq,” she tries the left door then shrugs and goes through the right one.

Hmmmm cause this is an older timeline. Like before mayors and electricity. They have a chief and two advisors. The chief and advisors are only interested in growing the villiage and making money. There is a river near them that goes to the main kingdom which is how they get their word working stuff to sell.

and they are unaware of the existence of any nymphs and spirite. That being said they haven’t actually seen the dome cause from looking on the outside it just looks like a denser part of the forest. And there are alot of animals that lurk there like bears and wolves so if they did get close they would get attacked. But they have been upgrading their weapons and have been able to kill a the bears and wolves.

And not all of the life trees are in the dome area but thats where everyone hangs out and lives regardless.

“Lezterp was building a machine that would corrupt the very fabric of the Thread - I don’t know if that is still the case, or if it’s the same machine.”
Not-Bat frowned. “I know that mine is @bird-“ Not-Bat spluttered slightly, the words for some reason catching in his throat, “furious, but I don’t know Tam’s Author’s name.”

"There are better ways to create plot!" Bacon rebutted. "You're clever. I'm sure you can figure them out."

“I cannot realistically turn back at this point, Bacon. Take your paper, hide it away, hope that will stop me, and be ready for what happens when it doesn’t.” Rebus smirked, then vanished.

Sigh. I hate doing this to Rebus. But, like his own reasons for being evil as far as I can tell, this will make the coolest plot so it all works out

Even as he died, Betrayal smiled too. He had ensured victory for both his Lord, and for himself as well. The world would remember him…

“Remember what I have taught you.”

And so died Betrayal. His body crumpled to the floor and Thunder rumbled.

Rather than dying with him, the storm picked up. A personage made of lightning could be seen in the skies, clad in black storm cloud. He directed a lightning bolt, and it struck the sprite. She greedily drank of the energy and transformed into a key. As the light faded, so too could a fading message be heard.

Remember me

Axzi spoke

I assume by my ability to speak with you again you defeated Betrayal? My congratulations. Now the true test begins. All that now remains is to open the doors.

The plan begins when the doors open. I’ll pm the final details

It is quite good writing - and tormenting Rebus is probably what he deserves.
Rebus felt no sadness at Betrayal’s death, despite his hesitation to kill him. Mischief brought  little more remorse, but it was the sadness of missed opportunities rather than any sort of actual grief.
Rebus nodded at Axzi’s instructions, picking up the key that had been Mischief and walking towards the double doors he though he remembered seeing in the room.

"Well... you can leave the worlds post-scarcity, I suppose. Just undo the evil empire bits." The Priest scratched his head. "Are you certain you're sincere? To be honest, I'd expected you to show up and attempt to kill me."

"No, actually he is in the Void between Worlds." Noted Editor Nameless. "But the Void is not outside TLT. To my understanding it is the space between worlds in TLT, as otherwise the Witherlord and the withergeists would be wreaking havoc over the defenseless threads outside."

“I’m sincere, though I wouldn’t trust me - I’m probably using me to trick you.” The-man-who-looked-like-Rebus (tmwllR) frowned. “And regardless, there’s some plot convenience and Narration being applied to my empire - if I tried to get rid of the real Rebus, without Narration or Antagonist the whole thing would fall apart to grey goo and bureaucracy issues in mere days.”
“That’s the explanation I’ve gotten, though I still believe it to be the case that the cracks that sometimes let in withergiests are unlikely to be anywhere near the Witherlord.”

Subversion faded almost entirely away, then snapped back into focus again. "It's my Author. He's trapped by this game that came out, and has no time to focus on TLT. You have to help me!"

Rebus, who was in a similar situation himself, frowned. “We need some new engagement - to make MtG and Silksong a less interesting prospect than the Thread. That may unfortunately require new characters.”

It begins

Oh, and Mischief isn’t dead, only shape shifting into a key. She can change back whenever she pleases.

The room was dark and majestic. It was reminiscent of an evil… cathedral, almost.

Along the length of the carpet leading to the throne lay the strewn remains of long dead warriors, reduced to mere skeletons now. Three thrones sat at the end of the chamber. A skeleton occupied each one. In the largest, golden throne, a skeleton clad in armor of the same material sat, regally watching over the hall. His right hand held a battle axe while the other held a scroll. In the two silver thrones, two other skeletons watched. The first had a black cloak covering leather armor. Both were shredded to pieces along the right side, with the sleeve and arm up to the shoulder missing. It held a curved, double-bladed dagger (@Ancient Elantrian). The other seemed… off. Like it shouldn’t belong (@KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren never described it cuz I forgot to ask).

There was just something Rebus couldn’t place about it.

And then in synch, all the eyes glowed a blazing red and the skeletons clattered to like. Axzi spoke.

They are the Fallen Heroes. They tried to do what you are doing now. You could merely kill them all, or you could do one better. If exposed to the Bane of the Horror that killed them they will return to their previous states. This could be an opportunity to gain a legion of new allies.

The sprite vibrated in Rebus’ hand.

Ok guys, the plan is go. Attack. Use all your abilities. Don’t go down without a fight.
