She breathed in deeply, fallen leaves swirling in the air as a cool breeze passed by. "I think other people do too. Forgiveness is important. You've killed people. Well, killing more innocents won't do any good. Neither, although it might seem tempting, would dying yourself. Live instead. Try, for the people who've died, to save those who can be saved. Even if you can't save everyone, you can save some people. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to lure you into despair."

She turned to face Erryin and shrugged. "Does that help at all? I hardly feel qualified for this, but I hope at least some of that made sense."

“Then perhaps you shouldn’t lose all hope in the meaning of stories just yet…” It smiled again. “Perhaps.”

”I personally find that the disconnect between an Author and its creation gives it meaning,” a second ambiguous figure said. “In a way, the creation thinks for itself, and develops its own opinions and experiences and values, even if it can’t quite do it alone… I think that gives it value.”

The first figure nodded along as the second spoke.

”Or maybe we’re all just fools,” they said in unison with a simultaneous shrug.

Oops, just noticed your mention in your post about that test . Sorry to give you a reply to keep you up, go get some sleep!
