It decided to create a ghghost army and began assassinating ghosts to turn them into ghghosts.

Unfortunately, it soon ran into a problem: only the most powerful of ghosts could become ghgosts. So powerful did they need to be, in fact, that only three ghosts of sufficient power could be found.

It still was able to hire them.

And so the Deceased Dead squad was formed, consisting of the four ghghosts, the most powerful double-undead in the universe.

For thirty years they terrorized the land, turning brave men into cowards and strength into weakness. 

Until one day, a hero had enough and stood up to face them head on.

This hero was neither brave nor strong, merely determined.

Her name was Edalena, daughter of Eof the Ultimate Foe and Esmerelda Venture.

She was fed up with all the fear of death that was going around. In particular, the motto of the Deceased Dead aggravated her in the extreme. 

(This motto, for those in the dark, was "Cross us, and we'll kill you twice over." It aggravated Edalena because she'd already died once, and doing so twice more would exclude her from membership in the newly formed council of [INSERT GENERIC NAME HERE].)

That was indeed one name that some called the council by. Other generic names included:

[Bobs]

[Marys]

[Heroes]

Deciding which to use had proven too difficult, and so they’d stuck with the generic tag.

The council was unnaturally generic.

It came from the wide variety of unnamed and not-fleshed-out heroes that dwelled within TLT.

Indeed, anyone who survived in the pure chaos of TLT for a significant amount of time had a level of skill and survivability that they could be considered a "hero", by a flimsy sense.

In a flimsy sense? Anybody who appeared in more than 15 pages was a certified legend! Even if those pages are now lost in time, that is still a great accomplishment.

Indeed. And by this definition, Butt Venture was among the greatest heroes of all time.

At the mention of his name, he reapeared in the middle of the council.

His reappearance was brief, thankfully. He had business in the Outer Rim, and could not remain in council for long.
