She was in a windowless room made of 3 foot thick Narrativium though, and the door had melded with the wall.

Narrativium is a metal that blocks Narration in large amounts, but empowers it in smaller chunks.

the door could be unmelded on one side of the wall then a pocket with food would be pushed through in a bubble of air, water is passed through similarly, but the pocket stays in the wall and the wall forms a straw.
