The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

He crashed into Melody 3.0 in an awkward tumble.

And they rolled into Melody 2.0. Melody had been watching this from the other side of the mirror in shock, and almost passed out when she saw Melody 2.0

Then, Melody 4.0 joined to confuse the thread!

She spawned along with Melody 5.0 when Melody 2.0 and 3.0 rolled into the cloning tree. 

I wonder how long we can go until we can't remember where each Melody is.

But everyone actually were suspecting that she’ll come, so no one was confused

The confused batch of Melody's decided to go on a quest. They let X's avatar tag along, as well as the cloning tree.

"Melody!" called out X's avatar, trying desperately to find the real one.

Schrodinger was incredibly concerned, and so he mentally linked all the Melody's together telepathically.

This did not help.

Reg linked Schrodinger as well as retaliation for his decisions.

Nameless used Shar to locate the real Melody, then shoved the others into TST.

X's avatar was bewildered.

X's avatar let out a slightly hysterical laugh, leaning back against a tree. "Alright, then. I suppose we proceed?"

Ooh, nice!

Schrodinger felt his mental link pulling him into a different thread, so he severed it.

”I thought that would work,” he said, panting.

Then, because X's avatar was leaning against the cloning tree, X's avatar 2.0 appeared. 

 

[Kings_way he/they]

King tripped over X's avatar 2.0, who fell back on the tree creating X's avatar 3.0.

However, reality had forgotten for a moment that X's avatar was already a clone.

This caused a short circuit in causality, and resulted in the cloning tree detonating spectacularly.

[Vapor she/her]

But not before it had made multiple clones of everyone.

X's avatar was prepared this time, however, and easily dealt with them.

"Yeah," he panted to Melody, "we'd best leave this place."

A hot air balloon appears with Vapid in it. "Need help?"

"Sure," says X's avatar gratefully.

She throws down a ladder made of spaghetti.

[Condensation she/her]

Melody rides her unicycle up a tree and into the hot air balloon. "You're annoying!"
