So... I never played blackout games like that before(Closest one which I played was LG28, but I don't think that LG28 can be counted as full blackout). And there no lunch today or kill... sooo... maybe I should write some RP, don't know probably later(or not) :D

Also I'm a padawan now? Do I get the braid or the lightsaber or the robes?

Ok, so should we vote on Elithanalitheileithewhatever for an early role reveal?

You don't plot schemes, mate.  You plot plots and scheme schemes.

Get it right.

Second Blackout game. The last one ended abruptly when the elim team got knocked out by Orlok. Village won.

No Lynch or kill meaning we will most likely be finding out about game mechanics as the day passes.

That's why you read, kids. That's also why you are probably on this fansite.

But does that mean there are roles that allow you to pass items? Why would that person want to pass items? Are there detrimental items. like bombs? Or trackers? Or is there a role with an alignment that requires the player to give away all of his/her items (and there are like ten)?

I'm just blindly speculating, because that's what you do in blackout games.

Right?

I won't be misled this time :P

And can Items give/change roles, I wonder.

Someone would want to pass items if, say, they have two items that gives a kill, but we can't use more than 1 action per turn.  1 item will be useless in that person's possession. So it would be ideal to pass it onto another player that they think is a villager. Elim would pass it to an elim obv.

Or if it can't be used by someone due to their alignment or role.

What that's your character in this game? I wouldn't be surprised if our troll GMs used our memes against us.

Naw, I wish though. I believe somebody else secured those rights.

oh yeah. It's time for some speedster role play. My favorite kind.

So Impulse wears a dark blue trench coat, and matrix sunglasses.

No lightning heralded his arrival. No crack of thunder. Just a WHOOSH, a sudden gust, as normal people looked up and wondered at the strange gust of air. But given what they saw in the city, they just went back to their business.

Impulse WHOOSHED into the city. And he looked awesome.

He sang a little song as he walked into the square where people were rejoicing over the death of Nighthound. "The wicked hound. The wicked hound. Ding dong the wicked hound is dead" he sang quietly.

It was time to become what he really wanted to be: a ruler. He was powerful. Fast. Unthinkably fast. But he had no influence in this city. So he would start from the bottom.

Jon sat back on a bench in an out of the way section of the park, typing up his latest manifesto on his laptop, and tried not to look at the people around him.

Or the lava lakes. Definitely not the lava lakes.

Okay, so we don’t know anything yet except our own roles, unless you’re in an Elim team or a faction that has a doc, and we don’t know which of those exist. Anyone with a PM role, can you please make sure you use it, so communication can begin? I’m open for PMs, but I can’t start them.

Is there a specific destinction between elim team and faction that has a doc?

Just that there could be either or both. An Elim team specifically would be one that has to kill off villagers, while a faction could have a different win con and could win alongside other people or factions. It all depends on how everything is set up (part of why the blackout game is so tricky, since we don’t know who has to do something to win, and since there might not even actually a traditional Elim team, though there will almost certainly be kills useable by either people or teams/factions, since this is SE).

Sandra looks out the window. From the top of the weapons manufacturing plant where she works there's a great view of the city  below.

She stops - and frowns. Was that a lava lake in the middle of the park? A blur she doesn't recognize whooshes past like he owns the place. That wouldn't do. No Epic was going to rock up and wreck all her plans.

Hastily mumbling an excuse, she runs out and ducks into a dark alley, discarding her pink furry coat and... Oh no! She had forgotten her mask! Shoving on her sunglasses and praying they wouldn't fall off, she stepped into the street to confront this... Whatever it might be.

Note: That up there is a complete mess of past and present tense.

Please note that as it has been some time seen the last post and nobody has seen fit to intervene, Falchion now has several more swords in his collection, and the city has several less museums in it's own.

Next the hospitals because the injured are just taking up space and resources anyway.

Don't you just love justice?

Also it looks like some items are probably one-use, judging by what HH said, but do we have any proof that there aren't any items that are permanent? It seems like what Megasif said makes it sound like there are some items that can be used more than once as well. So we probably know that at least.

Also I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that my alignment is Neutral. I'm not a villager or an eliminator, I have my own unique (probably) win condition, that doesn't hurt anybody else. Neither party (or multiple if there's factions) really has a reason to kill me, so I'm hoping I'm safe in revealing my alignment like this. So that should be a bunch more info to everyone else, besides the other neutrals who know who they are.

I am going to go out further on a limb, and say that my win con will hurt someone, but if there is a village then our win cons should align. Can anyone else confirm that Elithaneithilethile is correct? In your PM did it say the word Neutral in yellow?

I am not neutral, yes.

Silver Feather ran the road. Then he nabbed a lizard. Then he hopped over a lava lake. He spotted Falchion killing the weak and the innocent with a sword, and blowing up hospitals. Silly creatures. Why did humans care for their injured? They were going to die anyway. Enough of that. It was time for business.

After all, he would be rich.

Gretta looked up at Marge as the boss walked in, swishing his tail around. He had a lizard in his mouth, and he walked over to their table. The stainless concrete floor and silvery chrome metal contrasted with the bird's grey and blue feathers. He dropped the lizard onto the machine. Gretta grabbed it and stuffed it in to the opening. Marge turned the knob and pushed the button. Gears clicked, pistons moved, and dials spun. The lizard, sans tail, was spat out of the other end of the machine. Marge gave it a spider crisp and pushed it into the chute that released it back into the city. Gretta measured the tail, weighed it, assessed it's coloring, the approved it and pushed it down the conveyor to Sanitizing.

Silver Feather crooked his beak in an approximation of a smile. He would be rich. The idea had come when watching an old clip of a cocktail party. If they had cocktail drinks, why not lizardtail drinks? Several drink companies were already buying his product up. His analysts predicted that within a few weeks, his drinks would become the latest fad among the high society. The epics, wanting to look modern, exotic, and wealthy, would purchase his products at a premium, in bulk.

He would be rich.

If it was a simple Eliminators Vs Village game, there's no need for there to be a blackout game.

LG36 was Eliminators vs Village only and it was blackout.

The man sat up in his hospital bed. He felt perfectly fine; in fact, he had felt okay for at least two weeks. The doctors had, for some reason, decided to keep him here for an entire month after the surgery.

Suddenly, the building began to shake. The man immediately sat up and hopped out of bed, his feet hitting the floor with two metallic clanks. They felt good.

It was time to give these new legs and arms a test.

Shockwave was singing at a bar. Many boos accompanied but he just sang louder. Soon, many people rolling on the ground with their hands to their ears. Shockwave's face went red with anger.

"Well I guess none of you have ever heard beutiful singing before!"

Shockwave left the bar grumbling and carrying his red guitar that would have accompanied him  if the stupid drunks had appreciated his beautiful voice. Good thing no one had broken it in the uproar. If it was damaged even in the slightest he would probably have killed everyone in there

Well if you say that you're village, people have no reason to believe you, if you say you're eliminator, they have an extra reason to kill you even without proof and you gain nothing, and if you say you're neutral now, you could be telling the truth or you could be following after someone else and lying in hopes of being overlooked.

I think I got a tactical advantage by revealing I was neutral since if I wasn't I would have no way to know about the alignment due to the fact that it's a blackout game. So I'm more believable and hopefully people won't have a reason to try to kill me since I'm not working against them and other people are higher on the priorities, but also giving out information like that can be dangerous.

So right now I don't know that calling alignment would be very helpful unless you have some way to prove it.

I'm village!....I mean...elim!...I mean...neutral xD (that about covers it all I think :P)

Also yay!!!! @Ecthelion III @Elithanathile the Eternal Love Triangle is reunited! XD

RP:

Amy Scott, aka Scotty, as she was known to her friends, rushed up the stairs, two at a time. This maniac is gonna kill everyone in here if someone doesn't stop him! She paused at the top of the stairwell, panting to catch her breath.

She could hear screaming patients and doctors, mixed with the arrogant boastings of an Epic. He was prattling on about bringing justice to this city. You want justice? Funny, I think I'll give you some. She breathed in deeply, to steady her nerves. Busting through the door, she could see people fleeing to the right. Okay, so left. She spun to the left to see the insane epic, sneering at her from down the hallway. "You want justice?!" She shouted. "Well now it's...just us!" He stared at her, blankly. "Ewwww yeah, that one was really bad, sorry." Scotty grimaced at her own pun.

Oh right, focus! You're about to fight an epic! This should be fun. Grinning, Scotty stood with her chin in the air, defiantly blocking his path. "What now, tough guy?" Throwing her arms to the side in a challenge.

He had always been told never to use an elevator in an emergency. But, well, this was an emergency.

His metal leg clanged as he tapped it impatiently. The building rumbled again, the elevator music playing on peacefully in spite of the impending danger. He didn't know what he would find when that door opened.

" Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'... ♫ "

I told those doctors to let me keep my weapons on me. Is that too much to ask in a time like this? He rolled up the sleeve of his robe and examined his metal fingers, flexing them to get a hold of the way they moved. It felt so natural, as if he had been born this way.

" Stayin' alive, stayin' alive, ah ha ha ha, stayin' aliiiive... ♫ "

The elevator came to a halt on the first floor of the hospital. He poked the 'open door' button so hard that his finger broke straight through the button, causing the mechanism to spark. You know, on second thought, this might take a bit of getting used to. After what seemed like an eternity, the elevator doors finally slid open.

It was an Epic, all right. Surprisingly, its back was turned away from the elevator, its focus on someone else.

No...it can't be...

"What now, tough guy?" Scotty said defiantly.

[facepalms internally] Remember last time this happened? And the time before that? I'll be lucky to walk away with all my limbs.
