Kaladin claims the winds as his own, and soars into the final round!

But before we move onto the final round, we must determine who will win the bronze medal! Adolin and Szeth will fight for third place!

Another fight we've already seen. I sadly must vote Szeth. I prefer Adolin as a character, but I'm voting based on who would win in a fight and

Spoiler

Adolin couldn't beat him when Szeth was outnumbered 3 to 1, though I can't remember if Adolin had Shardplate on.

YES MARSH IN THE FINALS CONFIRMED

...Adolin. I never really identified with Szeth's character as much as him.

I'm going Szeth over Adolin. Adolin is just too moral compared to Szeth, and some of the other Knights Radiant. I also think Szeth is going to come back even stronger in the upcoming books.

Adolin is a great character overall, and a phenom duelist, but I think he's outmatched by Szeth combat-wise.

Szeth has my vote.

Szeth

1: Adolin is an entitled kid who has offended every woman in the entire shattered plains. Even the horse groom working with Kaladin threw rocks at him.

2: Adolin claims that "the almighty put some people in charge for a reason" and doesn't entirly support Kaladins promotion at the begining.

3: Szeth it the only Shin man we know of. He is a gateway into a mysterious culture.

4: He predicted the return of the knights radiant before anybody else

5: We know he could beat Adolin in battle. He has before.

6: Adolin is an archetype. Szeth is like nothing anybody has ever seen before.

7: Szeth is a freaking awesome assassin guy with insane powers who controls nightblood.

What do you have against Kal? He's awesome! He's a windrunner!

I like him, but I have some issues. First off, I rarely think the main character is overly awesome. Secondly, I am a bit tired of him always saving everyone. Think it could be someone elses turn next time. Kaladin feels like Ashs Pikachu: brought in to win every battle, despite the fact that he already is the frontrunner of everything.

Kind of like mare do well?

Makes sense. He does win almost everything. I think Shallan is going to start doing things now, so his winning streak will end soon.

Honestly in WoR we never saw a full-plate adolin fight szeth. Given how well Gavilar did in the WoK prologue and that the fight is in a room, i'll go with Adolin

Oh how I disagree about this... Adolin is everything but an archetype: there are no character such as him within the world of fantasy. He might have gotten his chull beaten twice, but he is rip for revenge.

I'll go with Adolin.

Szeth, because he's my profile pic and I feel a little bad for sabotaging him in the Kaladin fight.

Adolin. I agree with @maxal, he is definitely not an archetype. In fact, that he seems so is one of the things that makes him so great. Much of Brandons writing consists of turning tropes in fun new ways, which is what he did with the Kholin prince. So Adolin wins.

I'm actually pretty happy that Adolin is winning, but I swear to God if he loses because of my vote...

Adolin starts up as an archetype, but Brandon has given him a voice which turned an underused character trope into a breath of fresh air.

Adolin Kholin claims third place!

32 entered, and now only two are left standing. Two champions from different planets, brought together to fight one last time.

Marsh, a man who sought to overthrow the Lord Ruler, and sacrificed everything to see this goal fulfilled. A man who lost his humanity, becoming a Steel Inquisitor. His will was strong enough to rebel against a Shard for a brief moment, and he was responsible for helping to save the world. He now aids Harmony, and has become the personification of Death.

And Kaladin, a Windrunner from the Knights Radiant of Roshar. Sold into slavery and forced to endure the hell that was Bridge Four, Kaladin fought through, and was responsible for saving thousands of lives at the Battle of the Tower. He's done battle with full Shardnearers multiple times and won, as well as defeated Szeth, the Assassin in White, after he claimed the sky as his own.

Which of these two warriors will emerge triumphant, and become the champion of the Second Annual Sanderson Tournament?
