Assassin in Burgundy he/him Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 A hermit king or a badchull flying guy with makeshift guns. No contest. Kelsier. 2
StormyQueen she/her Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Kell. I mean, it's Kelsier, the mistborn and survivor. Plus (SH) Spoiler He punched a shardbearer in the face. 2
Stick. she/her Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 (edited) Frankly, I'd choose Kelsier over almost any other player, regardless of who'd win in combat Edited October 27, 2016 by I_am_a_Stick 3
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Kelsier is the best Brandon character. He steamrolls Nohadon in every cathegory. 2
Tariniel he/him Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Not even necessary, but... KELSIER! 2
Farnsworth Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Nohadon wrote the Way of Kings! I know that Kelseir is amazing, but Nohadon is the Dumbledore/Gandalf guy who knows everything. He was an amazing king, inspired Dalinar to do basically everything that he did, and he wrote the book that inspired the title for the book it was in. There's a reason Dalinar is constantly quoting Nohadon. 1
Patar he/him Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 And Kelsier wins by a landslide! In the final fight of Round Two, Kaladin will take on Elend Venture!
StormyQueen she/her Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Elend. He was a good character, who even though he grew up in a society that despised skaa, he was kind and compassionate. He had a vision, and he wasn't afraid to see it through, and though he was emperor, he planned on inducing a democratic state in Scadrial. He never lost sight of his morals, and plus, he's a mistborn, and mistborn are cool. Kaladin is cool, but he doesn't have the same moral high ground as Elend, as he broke his vows at one point. Plus, in a fight, I think despite Kaladin's gravity surges, he'd still be able to avoid getting hit, and, atium can get him out of pretty much any bad situation. He may not have the same finesse that Vin and Kelsier have, but I would argue that the same is with Kaladin's surges. 1
asterion137 he/him Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I like Kaladin as a character better, since he has character flaws. Before someone jumps on me for that statement, I know he's not a mary sue; Brandon doesn't write mary sues. I just like that Kaladin has to struggle with his own internal flaws, like hate and revenge. Elend struggles more with external issues. Besides, Kaladin would win a fight easy as long as he knows what atium does. 1
Elenion he/him Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Kaladin and Kelsier have been my two favorite book characters that I've ever read. Upvotes incoming! 2
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Elend. His moral issues in was one of the most interesting things in Mistborn. And he is funny, and identifiable. How he reads at the party and ignores the girls :-D And from what I have seen, many others identify with him as well. Kaladin is nice as well. He has some great moments, and is an interesting character. However, he is overused, and, in my book, just not as likeable as Elend. So, #voteelend2016 1
manukos he/him Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 elend, he is a powerhouse and the way kaladin is at the moment he is very vulnerable to alomancy 1
Tariniel he/him Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Kaladin. His struggle with depression was beautifully written, and did much to strengthen the amazing character we see today. 2
Farnsworth Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Kaladin is hands down the best character in the Cosmere. He fought complete injustice when everybody hated him because of how amazing he was. Elend is a spoiled lordling who decides to turn to the good side after a while. 2
WayneSpren he/him Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Kaladin, though Elend makes for a good competitor. 2
Stick. she/her Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 kaladin. Though, Elend and Kaladin would put up a pretty interesting fight, I like Kaladin's character more, he's one of the best characters Brandon has written Also, I just realised that if Kaladin makes it to the next round, the final match of the next round would be....Kelsier vs Kaladin How does the universe expect me to just choose 2
Patar he/him Posted October 28, 2016 Author Posted October 28, 2016 Kaladin will move on to the next round! In the first fight of the quarterfinals, Marsh and Vin will fight one another!
WayneSpren he/him Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Marsh. The strongest non-shard in the Cosmere (discounting Hiid, maybe), he's a great villain and his viewpoint chapter in HoA are amazing. 2
Landis963 he/him Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Didn't Vin canonically beat Marsh? Just saying. 1
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Marsh. The most badchull character in the Cosmere. 2
Farnsworth Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Marsh is awesome. I mean, he's essentially become a death figure on Scadrial. 2
asterion137 he/him Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Marsh ought to win. If the steel compounding inquisitor had meant to kill Vin at the beginning of HoA, she would have been dead for sure. Same applies for Marsh. 1
Elenion he/him Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Undecided for this one. 13 hours ago, I_am_a_Stick said: Also, I just realised that if Kaladin makes it to the next round, the final match of the next round would be....Kelsier vs Kaladin Noooooooooo!
