StormyQueen she/her Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Ye good olde Terry because he's a really interesting villain, and his boon/bane is really interesting with how it plays out with worldwide repercussions. 1
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Taravangian. One of the best Sanderson villain. Really interesting to read about, and really interested in his story.
kenod Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 wait, Sazed? Thought it said Szeth. Doesn't change my vote though.
WayneSpren he/him Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 @Patar, it might be time for the next round. Also, I might be open to writing "story" elements for the tournament.
Patar he/him Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Taravangian is the winner! Up next is Adolin vs. Jasnah. Two Kholins from Roshar, fighting against one another!
WayneSpren he/him Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Adolin. His viewpoints in WoR were some of the best parts of that book, especially his battle in The Arena of Ultimate Unfairness. His character was developed far more than I expected, and his Murder of Sadeas was similarly unexpected, but still awesome. He's also very earnest, and provides an interesting foil to his father. Which is why I look forward to his PoV's the most in SA 3. 3
StormyQueen she/her Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Jasnah. She is shown to be such a controversial character, both in and out of world. She is gradually revealed to us through Shallan's POV, and as we go through we start to see her worries and her weaknesses. While shown to be a perfect character, her flawed nature is gradually revealed. She is extremely intelligent, and challenges social expectations in an intelligent manner Upvotes for Jasnah too! 2
asterion137 he/him Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Jasnah was my preferred character 2
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Adolin! One of Brandons best character. I love how he hides his insecurity, and how afraid he is of relationships. He is also cool. Jasnah is good, but she is not up there with Adolin. 1
Elenion he/him Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Adolin for his absolutely awesome performance in the arena. Heart was pounding like nothing else. Fellow Adolin voters, have upvotes! 1
Stick. she/her Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Jasnah is one of my favorite SA characters. But I think Adolin would win a fight. I loved that 'very-much-fair "duel"'part. Also, I liked the way he got rid of that cremling (if you know who I'm talking about) I'd really like to see more of Adolin in SA3 and the later books, I think he'd have a major part to play in those. 2
Guest Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 It isn't I don't like Jasnah, but Adolin wins it all: he is the most imaginative and refreshing character. Jasnah's special character quirk is the fact she is an atheist which I don't find particularly special or interesting. Besides, there is no POV I want to read more than Adolin going into book 3. So he wins for me Sorry Jasnah, you are a fine character, but your little cousin is just better not to mention he certainly is the better fighter
Tariniel he/him Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 So... this is a tough one. It seems that Adolin would definitely win in a fight, but Jasnah can Elsecall and Soulcast... She faked her own death, for god's sake! My vote goes to her. 2

Patar he/him Posted October 21, 2016 Author Posted October 21, 2016 And Adolin Kholin beats his cousin Jasnah! And now Szeth, the Assassin in White, will fight Dalinar, the Blackthorn!
Elenion he/him Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Now this is a tough matchup for me. I like both of these characters so much, but... Szeth. Spoiler Mainly because of the scene where he and Kaladin fight it out inside of the Highstorm, and also because he's going to be a Skybreaker and Skybreakers are boss. I've got extra upvotes, so vote Szeth if you want them!
WayneSpren he/him Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Yeah...I don't like either that much after WoR. But Szeth, because his viewpoints in WoK where some of the best parts of that book. 1
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Im going for Dalinar. But it is close. 2
kenod Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 (WoR spoiler) We already had this fight before, so Szeth 1
StormyQueen she/her Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Nooooo, Jasnah......... Well, I'm going Dalinar, because although I love Szeth's tortured past (and present?) I love characters who are good, and stick with their morals even when the world is against them. Sure, he has his failings, but that moment when he Spoiler Gives up his shardblade is just epic, especially how he just dismisses it as the right thing to do, and says that he actually got a bargain since a life is priceless So yeah... Dalinar 1
Turbonator Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Szeth. Now, he and Dalinar would be on more equal footing than last time, but I still think Szeth would win. 1
asterion137 he/him Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Dalinar should win honestly. Szeth has Spoiler nightblood now but no powers and I think that if Dalinar has a normal sword and uses windstance to dodge szeth. Especially now that Spoiler Dalinar can use stormlight
cloudjumper he/him Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Dalinar would easily win. As asterion pointed out, Szeth Spoiler cannot use nightblood without it killing him, rendering it useless in his hands. With Szeth defenseless, Dalinar demolisihes him. 1
Elenion he/him Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 @Tariniel @I_am_a_Stick We need more voters!
