Elenion he/him Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Kaladin. Best case scenario: his bond prevents him from killing you. Worst case scenario: quick death by Shardblade. Facing Vin you're liable to become a human pincushion very quickly. Would you rather face a Chasmfiend in full Shardplate or be Lightweaved into looking like Sadeas for one day?

Would you rather talk philosophy with Elend or duel with Adolin? 2
Mr. Staccato he/him Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Philosophy. I get philosophy - I LOVE PHILOSOPHY. I'll take Elend's barbed remarks to lying on the ground with a broken rib and a concussion because I am under no delusion that I know how to swing a sword. Would you rather be a full Feruchemist whose metalmind are piercings are all "down there", or would you rather be one of those people with the unfortunate task of chasing down Hoid all throughout Cosmere? Edited February 17, 2017 by Mr. Staccato
kenod Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Chasing down Hoid, because you would see something of the Cosmere. Would you rather explore the Scandrial part of the Cognitive Realm or Roshar's part (You're not a Cognitive Shadow, so you can't stand on the mist and spheres)?
The Technovore he/him Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) Scandrial, more interesting. Would you rather swear an oath to help Wayne think in terms of normal logic (but who would want to do that?) or die trying, OR swear to kill Wax in a gunfight or die trying? Edited February 20, 2017 by The Technovore
A Secret Corner he/him Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Help wayne with logic. Far more interesting Would you rather spend one month at Damnation (or rather Braize, and you get a heat medallion to help), Hell (Forests of, and you start ~100-150 miles from any homestead or waystop), The Pits of Hathsin, or Elantris (starting about 1 year after the Reod).
KnightRadiant she/her Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 Elantris. Higher chance of survival. After all, it's only one month. Would you rather write an essay on the awesomeness of Lift or the insanity of Wayne?
Hemalurgic Headshot he/him Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Wayne. He isn't that insane, and he's funny too. It would be too hard to get answers out of Lift if she didn't want to answer. Would you rather have to write a 600-page essay in Vorin glyphs or write the correct rules of Tarachin using only what Lightsong tells you backwards?
flying_shadow she/her Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 (edited) Vorin glyphs, because there's probably a full list of them on the 17th shard so it's actually doable. Would you rather listen to Zane or Sadeas monologuing for an hour? Edited March 5, 2017 by Kalinovsky forgot to write something I wanted to include
The Technovore he/him Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 (edited) Zane, because he wouldn't make me want to stab him in the eye... *cough* after 30 seconds. Would you rather be a Radiant (any order) trying to fight a Fullborn to the death, or a full Feruchemist facing down the entire Parshendi Army? Edited March 6, 2017 by The Technovore
Elenion he/him Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 The Full Feruchemist. With that you would have access to Steel to destroy your foes before they can react, pewter to resist fatigue, and gold to protect you from lucky hits. With enough juice, you might just pull it off. The alternative is getting cut down by Steel compounding before you make a move. Would you rather have a Gemheart or a Lifeless servant?
Ecthelion III he/him Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Near-infinite wealth versus a living corpse following me around? What kind of a question is that? Would you rather be a Rioter but every time you use your power, a Justin Bieber song starts playing loudly and nobody can tell where it's coming from, or randomly receive $200 in quarters from an eccentric uncle?

I need the money, and one guy I know of actually kept like $10K in coins buried in his yard as a sort of just-in-case. Would you rather tick off Khriss or Hoid? Edited March 6, 2017 by Slowswift
The Technovore he/him Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Khriss, as she's a scholar. Hoid is an all-powerful trickster with an over-developed sense of irony, a.k.a, not someone you want to tick off. Would you rather be on one of Sadeas bridge crews 3 years before Dalinar bought them all off, or be stuck as a Cognitive Shadow for the rest of Eternity?
kenod Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 A Cognitive Shadow, because you could go around exploring the Cosmere and probably hang around in Silverlight. Would you rather be a Aluminium Misting or a Duralumium Misting?

Would you rather be a Aluminium Misting or a Duralumium Misting? Aluminum. There are some interesting and useful applications of this power even by itself. Would you rather spend one year at Silverlight, or one month at Cosmere University?

Would you rather go out drinking with Kell's crew in tFE or Bridge Four in WoR? 1
The Technovore he/him Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Bridge Four, less chance of having to run a city under siege in the coming years. Would you rather have to deal with Sadeas being smug, or Ruin being smug? (And no, you can't kill either of them)

Would you rather spend one week as the cognitive aspect of one of Sarene's paintings, or one of her woven designs?

I am a painting. But I don't know what I am a painting of because nobody who looks at me can tell. If you have some Stormlight I could be convinced I am a painting of something in particular. Or if there are any forgers listening maybe you could change my past so that I was sketched by Shallan instead! Would you rather be hemalurgically spiked by an expert and survive with a torn spiritweb, or experience the shaod and have to spend 3 years as a hoed, but eventually complete the transformation to an Elantrian?
Weltall Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 The hoed option because you end up with all the perks of being an Elantrian (immortality, extremely versatile magic, being on Sel to learn whatever cool developments will happen there) after the suffering versus being something 'worse than a Drab'. Would you rather have to map out the entire Shattered Plains (chasms included) or have to memorize the nickname of every possible Twinborn combination?

Memorize the nickname of every Twinborn combination. Far easier, and less Chasmfiends. Would you rather be force fed Rakgish Weed Soup (or however it was spelled), or dirt. Edited March 14, 2017 by Secrets
Orion the Hunter he/him Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Dirt, because I at least know what it is. Would you rather be a Lurcher or a Skimmer? 1
kenod Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Lurcher, metals are extremely common in buildings nowadays, so you could probably slingshot around the city. Would you rather have to live on Dayside Taldain, or a Fainlife invested Yolen?
