Well, I've tried looking for someone to place a vote on, and I'm gonna vote on Sasuke(Weaving Webs). He's inactive, but also reading back through things, his voting was kinda suspicious to me a couple Months back when he counter voted on DeathClutch and with his second vote he voted on Bridge Boy who already had 4? votes on him at the time(may have only been 3, I'm not sure). I feel like they were easy votes and the one on BB was kinda pointless. Mostly though, he's probably gonna die from a Mercenary, so my vote probably won't do any harm(*avoids looking at Araris*).  :P

The hallway was nearly empty as Acaelus and Marcos strolled through it. The two students had grown close over the last weeks. Acaelus practically clung to Marcos for the first little bit, but gradually began to practice what others would call normal behavior. After a while, Acaelus began to trust Marcos, something that he hadn't done for a long time. He hadn't been able to since his childhood. He normally just did everything he needed to by himself.

Marcos was slowly drawing Acaelus out of the Library as well. Less and less was he spending hours on end reading and refining the indentation on his chair. Instead, he was walking, conversing and cajoling with Marcos and a few others that had become acquaintances. When Marcos was doing class, Acaelus would return to his sanctuary in the library, completing the work he had to do for his classes.

Acaelus looked over to his friend. "Hey Marcos, do you think that the Skindancers are real? More and more I keep hearing about how they are making people crazy and sending them to the crockery. I've even heard that some of the students are collaborating to find them. Even the argument I had with the Mind of Akasha a while back was based around the skindancers. He was completely convinced that he had to purge the university of the monstrosities. He was berating me for sitting in the library all day while the university was being overrun. What do you think? Do you believe in them?"

Posting to let you all know I'm sick, which is why I haven't posted. :( I'll try to get caught up on this cycle and post something game-related, but be aware that it may not make much sense. Also as a heads up I will be going on a trip starting tomorrow, which means somewhat decreased activity. Sorry guys!

Sorry I have been quiet.  I have been insanely busy trying to prep for a work conference that is on this Friday.  After Friday I should have more free time.

I am going to post very little so if someone wants to scan me there is no chance of a muddy scan result.

I am not a skindancer.

I did send an assassin to PK though.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that your statement that you haven't gotten any PM's earlier this Month might count as a lie, so BB, I'd suggest not scanning STINK.

Wait, what? When did you do this? Just now?  Why would you attack PK after he was sabotaged? I'm confused.

Sorry to hear that. Get well soon then!

Could I request a scan on me next turn?

EDIT: I'm doing so next turn because I'm not sure if I said any inadvertent truths this turn. So, I'll avoid saying much other than I'm not a skin dancer. I'd very much like to be cleared early on. My first experience as a villager was not really very warm.

Inb4 I get votes because of this post.

Corrin sat in his room, counting his money to pass the time as he waited for news from his family, and his stipend as well. Plink. "1 Silver Talent." Plink. "2 Silver Talents." Plink. "3 Silver Talents." He was interrupted by a knock at his door. He walked over and opened it to find the innkeeper along with his twin brother.

"Saizo! What are you doing here?" Corrin asked.

"Father sent me, Corrin," he replied, in a quiet somber tone.

"Is something wrong? You don't seem like yourself," Corrin said.

"It's our brother, Owain. He freed Leo(Leo is the brother who is already insane. I'm not sure if I ever said his name yet.), and they've both gone missing. Father and Mother fear the worst for them. I'm sorry. They thought it might be better for me to tell you. I've brought your stipend," Saizo said as he handed Corrin a bag that, by the size and the apparent weight of it, made even the innkeepers eyes widen a bit. "If we receive any news about Leo and Owain, we'll be sure to pass it on to you. I should get back though. The family needs me. I would like to ask though, have you figured out anything? Any clues?" he said in a hopeful voice.

"No, nothing. Nothing at all," Corrin answered quietly, stunned by the news.

"I see. Well, keep searching. We're counting on you brother," Saizo said as he turned and walked away.

Corrin shut the door to his room and threw the bag of coins against a wall, causing it to open and let some of them spill out. What good will money do if I lose my sanity and my family? I heard that someone else attending the University has lost their sanity. Maybe I can look into that and see if I can root out the cause. I suppose I'll need to make a visit to the Crockery soon then. Corrin thought as he began picking up the scattered coins and placing them with the rest of his money.

Edit: Anyone want to do a vote tally? We may need to get some more votes so they're spread around a little more, thereby lowering the risk of expulsion or Conduct Unbecoming for any one player.

Edit2: I actually have the time, and it doesn't take much, so...

Vote tally:

Wonko(3): Kipper, Kipper, BB

Sasuke(2): Lopen, Dowanx

BB(1): Mailliw

STINK(1): Lopen

STINK, so what exactly did you mean when you said you sent an Assassin to PK? Does that mean that you bought an Assassin this Month and decided to kill PK? Or what?

Bought the Assassin last month.

Okay, I may have misunderstood you. Are you saying you bought an Assassin and gave them to PK? Or are you saying you bought an Assassin and made them attack PK last Month?

If you made them attack PK, then obviously you were either roleblocked or PK was protected somehow.

Assassins take a month to kill someone, so bought last month, kill this month.

Dang. Nice death notice for PK.

Um... I'm not comfortable with three of six votes. It's possible that I deserve it, but I can't afford to waste time on a heavy lashing right now (I have things to do for the Analyst next month), to say nothing of being expelled.

So I want to put two votes down to spread this out some, but I have run out of suspicions. I could put a vote back on Stink, the other nobleman, and trust that he's able to afford it. There aren't really any inactives at the moment (basically everyone who was inactive just came in and responded to Lopen), so that won't work.

I'm open to suggestions. Is there anywhere I could put my votes that it would cause a minimum of harm, while still spreading the lynch beyond three people?

I've basically been voting on those who've gotten elevated and can afford the tuition increase, since that way they probably won't lose much EP, and the tuition increase won't be crippling. So someone like DeathClutch, Silverblade, Mark, Dowanx, Sasuke, Mailliw, BB and Araris. Cealdish Commoners could also afford to be brought on the Horns as well I guess, so that also makes Kipper, Kynedath, Haelbarde and Danosaur possible targets. Elbereth and Burnt have both been elevated once, but they're the 2 Edema Ruh players, so it's too hurtful to them to increase their tuition by a full 2 talents.

The dangers in voting on those who have been elevated is that if they get lashings then they can't use their abilities. The dangers of voting on those who haven't been elevated is that you might take away some of their EP's and lower their chances of getting an abilitiy. If players had Nahlrout, then the lashings wouldn't be too hurtful, even though you might lose some EP's.

Danosaur excitedly ran off to the library! He had to return to the strict schedule he once kept.

The day before he had prepared to station himself in the library. His lunch and dinner were prepared in containers. He decided that chili would be the easiest thing to bring along with him. Also, you can't go wrong with a warm belly and studies. Along with a giant water bottle and a desk picked out close to the bathroom, he was good to go.

His excitement slightly wore off as he finally sat down at the library. While taking his things out of his bag, he found a letter from his parents he received but forgot to open. It had been a long time since he had heard from them. But, anything that reminded his of home made him remember that he was actually given the opportunity to go to school and how proud everyone was of him. He didn't want to anyone including himself down. He put his Danosaur plushie on the corner of the desk as support.

"Just keep reading, reading, reading," Danosaur hummed quietly to himself as he flipped the pages of his textbook.

@Lopen: With the lashing blocking actions, it'd be nice if we hit a skindancer with that though.

Re: PK. Well I guess on the bright side, we get PK's alignment confirmed.

Think I'm going to throw a vote on Kipper. He's thrown down 2 votes on Wonko, and he had a reasonable reason to do so. But Wonko responded to his concerns, and Kipper has yet to comment on them. Going to put my other vote on Weaving Webs for not posting.

Another month went by. Kipper was almost as illusive as last time, but he caught glimpses. Enough to work with anyway. He was thinking outside the disciplinary office would do - it seemed to be the most reliable place to find him. Just the other day, he heard the man complaining about Sev. He wasn't sure how he felt about that. On the one hand, he felt like he should like anyone who Kipper disliked. On the other hand, Sev was a noble, and so had more money and prestige. He probably was meant to dislike him on principle, but he figured he'd wait and see how it went. Maybe he'd be able get some money off Sev if he was nice to the man. He'd have to chat to him at some point. Sev, at least, would be easy to find.

The List had progressed wonderfully over the last few weeks. It now had five entries:

The LIST!

1. A metal bucket

2. A fiend

3. A powerful parody

4. A potato

5. A set of Calipers

He'd even actually managed to find a bucket to use. Things were certainly coming together. He wasn't sure about the calipers though, nor the fiend. He also hadn't had much lucky with the parody. Maybe he'd need to outsource it. He keep his ear out for any capable lyricists in his investigations. He also wondered if Sev might have some ideas for the Ultimate plan. The fellow certainly talked enough.

I guess I'll go with irulelikeSTINK, the richest player who isn't me, and DeathClutch19, who has been inactive this round. I want it on the record that I do not like these choices, and am only making them to try and prevent lashings and expulsion.

EDIT: So, Bridge Boy still hasn't read my PM informing him of the Analyst's identity. Unless he gets on in the next half-hour, he won't be confirming them this round.

I am here! I will be responding to all of the posts from this cycle and the last (yes, I'm a bit backlogged), but that will certainly not finish until after turnover so I wanted to post here for this cycle's urgent stuff.

1. I am not a Skindancer.

2. Let's spread votes around! How about Araris? (No offense meant. Tuition reduction is paramount for me, particularly at the moment since I haven't posted anything (game-related) this cycle.)

3. As mentioned earlier, I will be on a plane tomorrow, so expect... different activity. Not necessarily less, actually, judging from past trips, but different. Or whatever.

I'll maybe write up some points by the end of this cycle and post them, then post the rest next cycle. Or something. I don't know yet. Maybe I'll just go take a nap.

I am placing my vote on Elbereth, I am voting this way because there was no reason to vote Araris except for the tuition reduction. At this point we should have some reason to be placing a vote, not just randomly picking someone to vote for.

Bother, the cycle is almost over and I just got done with life for today. I also agree with Danosaur, since as I mentioned in my most recent post (whenever that was), voting for people actually creates a net tuition increase if any person places more than a single vote. Not to mention that I am a little frustrated about being roleblocked this cycle. I guess I will also vote on Elbereth, since I am really out of time, and it enforces that we shouldn't be voting just for tuition.

I'll put my second vote on Silverblade I think. He's a Nobleman and has been elevated. I think it would be a good idea to minimize the damage done with the lynch, because unless we have a clear target or targets, we won't really be doing anything useful with the lynch.

Danosaur, Elbereth is an Edema Ruh, and while I won't say that that makes her exempt completely for being voted on, I'd say there should be more evidence against her than for most others, since she's so poor. Same goes for Burnt. Please don't vote on these 2 players unless there's solid, justifiable reasons.

Agh! Two votes on me in the last fifteen minutes of the cycle! First off, as Lopen said, I'm an Edema Ruh and thus poor. Second, I need that tuition reduction more than anything right now. I have posted almost nothing, and my activity will continue to be low the next turn. And I still have to make tuition. I'm doing everything I can to reduce my tuition, thank you very much.
