Mestiv he/him Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 One of the cats I have in my temporal home probably has FIP he's been with us for almost a year, he came here severly famished (is that the right word? He was too light for his age as a result of not having enough food). After months of treatment and care he got better, no one would tell that not so long ago he was close to starvation. Now, three weeks ago he got sick again at first we thought that it's nothing bad. Our cats frequently have some minor troubles with a cold. However, after about a week the disease affected his eyeballs andkneballs that it's serious. But until today no doctor told us what may be the cause of his state FIP is an uncurable, terminal virus... I'm going to have lab results if that's it in about a week, but the doctor was almost certain. I'm devastated ;( 4
Amanuensis he/him Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Malnourished is probably the word you were looking for, Mestiv. Either way, I am very sorry to hear that :[ please give the cat many cuddles for me. Terminal illnesses are both incredibly tragic and super stressful for everyone involved. I pray that the diagnosis is wrong, but if not, that he spends the rest of his time as happy and comfortable as possible. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 My mom got home last night. Since I got him, Bruce has had a habit of biting people to show affection, a habit we've been trying to break. "The biting thing is new," my mom said this morning. "He didn't do that before I left." Yes, he did. You just never brought it up until you decided you needed to make me think me dog would be a hellspawn if not for your merciful leadership.

Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 The way to effectively ruin my life: give me homework. And no time to do it AND get reasonable sleep. 5
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 The way to effectively ruin my life: give me homework. And no time to do it AND get reasonable sleep. And the worst thing is when they emphasize the importance of a good night's sleep, while simultaneously piling on so much homework that sleep is unattainable. Those two conditions are mutually exclusive! Sorry about the homework overload. 2

Delightful Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I once saw a triangle chart thingamabob. It says Homework, Sleep, Social Life. Choose 2. Even then. 1
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 So true, but I only have one. Homework. 2

Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Quite similarly... I am, according to the chart, a zombie. Sounds about right. 1
Mistrunner Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I am, according to the chart, a zombie. Sounds about right. Of course, there needs to be an option for "17th Shard."

Briar King Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Melatonin is your friend Or in my case Ambien due to nerve pain I have but that is not something I recommend without a severe problem. Melatonin can work miracles for the average Joe.
azninvasion99 he/him Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Today was one of those days where my loneliness and depression hit hard. Since I've moved last year I haven't made any new friends (I'm extremely shy with new people) so days like Halloween where I see everyone having fun out and about just made me want to go curl up in a ball of sadness. Anyways, going to go back to rereading Elantris, but I just wanted to say this somewhere. 4

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 When we moved from Spokane to Tucson, my dad lived and worked in Tucson while the rest of us waited in Spokane for our house to sell. I cried the day we dropped him off at the airport. I wanted him home. I texted him and called him as often as I could. I lived for weekend and weeklong visits. Now, he's in Spokane and we're in Tucson. He's home for the weekend, criticizing me and everyone else, tearing us down to build himself up. I used to live for visits like this...and now I can't wait for him to leave. 5
Allomancy she/her Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Some creepy person got a hold of my number. They texted me a lot of messages, and a lot of them had profanity. A few of them had the worst swear word. It freaked me out, and we had to block the texts from that person. Sometimes I regret having a used number. 5

See if that makes them stop. 3
