Master_Moridin he/him Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Entirely possible Cosmere healing involves converting Investiture into matter.
Eagle of the Forest Path he/him Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Okay, I fubar-ed on the whole biomass thing, but I maintain my position on Kandra: however little or much biomass they have, they are always perfectly healthy.
ccstat he/him Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Scadrians are roughly half "of" Preservation and half Ruin. Is this a unique result due to Ati and Leras creating their own planet? Or would you expect individuals on other Shardworlds with multiple invested Shards (such as Sel before Odium's visit) to have roughly equivalent connection to the contributing Shards? (i.e. if I pick a hundred Selish people from back then, will they all be about 50-50 Devotion and Dominion, or will I get a full range with some individuals being nearly all Devotion to others almost fully Dominion)
LordFlea Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Have we seen major characters in SA be soothed/rioted?
Kurkistan he/him Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Have we seen major characters in SA be soothed/rioted? Yes (almost certainly), Shallan in the festival scene with Hoid. Source: Q: What alloy did Hoid drink? A: He wanted to make people act in the way he wanted them to.
NeutroniumAlchemist he/him Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 If Kaladin were to die heroically on Nalthis and be Returned, would that Returned have slave brands? 1
The Sovereign Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 (edited) If Kaladin were to die heroically on Nalthis and be Returned, would that Returned have slave brands? I suspect that if Kaladin viewed himself as having the scars when he died then he would return with the scars. Similar to why the Stormlight hasn't healed them, but theoretically would if Kaladin didn't view the scars as a part of him. Edited February 24, 2016 by Iron Eyes

But the Returned don't remember their former lives, so at the moment they return they don't properly view themselves as anything.
Oversleep Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 But the Returned don't remember their former lives, so at the moment they return they don't properly view themselves as anything. But their Aspects aren't wiped out completely, aren't they? Something could pass on.
Asperity he/him Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Does the Weapon that opposed Adonalsium possess sentience? Does the Weapon that opposed Adonalsium possess sapience?
imriel452 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) Does the Weapon that opposed Adonalsium possess sentience? Does the Weapon that opposed Adonalsium possess sapience? The Weapon no longer exists in its original form as it's power was expended when it was used to kill Adonalsium. Edited February 26, 2016 by imriel452
natc Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 That doesn't actually answer the question, imriel.
Young Bard he/him Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 The most important question ever to be asked: Do redheads have Breath? Also, do we know Yolen by another name (definitely not asking this because I'm working on a theory).
Oversleep Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Did Heralds have non-Herald children (important specification, since Shallash is Jezrien's daughter)? If that's true, were their descendants important in the history of Roshar? Are there any living descendants of Heralds?
PatrickDiomedes he/him Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 How many planets are in Scadrial's solar system? What kind of a Command would someone use if they wanted to Awaken a suit of armor? Would they have to Awaken the whole thing as one unit, or do it in separate chunks? How much would it take if it was made of something formerly alive, like the Carapace stuff that Bridge 4 used?

Presumably something along the lines of "Fight for me, as if you were me" in both cases (or if you wanted to cut down on word count, you'd use "Protect me" or something). Awakening the suit of armor would require the... Tenth Heightening? IIRC? the one that unlocks metal and stone Awakening. The carapace on the other hand would be much simpler, although not nearly as simple as cloth. What I'd like to know is how much Breath would it take for the armor.

Wouldn't carapace be simpler than cloth? It was part of a living thing once so it would take less Breath than clothes, but it is distant enough from living thing that Breaths aren't stuck (as with Lifeless).

I was thinking that the rigidity of carapace would make it less able to follow Commands, despite the parallels to Awakening bones.
ParadoxicalZen he/him Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Think this has already been asked before buuuuut; Has Hoid had any children/have any descendants and if so have we met any in book?
natc Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I was thinking that the rigidity of carapace would make it less able to follow Commands, despite the parallels to Awakening bones. Well, skeletons only need the joints to work well and a frame to keep them intact. Just soulcast the carapace to metal. It still used to be alive, apparently it works IIRC.
Jondesu he/him Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Could a Seeker hear the Rhythms if they traveled to Roshar? jW 1
PatrickDiomedes he/him Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Out of all the characters in the cosmere, who has the best and worst handwriting?

It still used to be alive, apparently it works IIRC. It'd make it easier to Awaken than something that started as metal, but it would still be exorbitantly expensive because you're still trying to Awaken metal. At least, that's my understanding of it.
ccstat he/him Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Just want to mention that I woke up incredibly disappointed this morning. I dreamed that a signing I went to got disrupted by a police raid, so Brandon had to come spend the night at my house. He gave me 20 minutes to ask questions, and I had just pulled out the Ultimate List when I woke up :-( 1
Curiosity he/him Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Did Taravangian have a moment with the Nightwatcher like Kelsier had with Preservation? Is that how he made The Diagram?
