It really gets going on Chapter 3, especially towards the end with so much to do. I actually forgot there was a story at some point before continuing!

That's usually the way of it: once you get the Chiral network unlocked in that area you'll see other's contributions, and the more stars you get the more you will see, but as far as I can tell it's vary rare that any section will be completed by others, just made cheaper through contributions. I got stuck around the same point. Be aware (because I was not) only the Missions for Sam progress the plot, the other missions are infinite. And there are a lot of destinations that will hit a Plot Stop on their Stars until you progress to a certain point. The missions and Likes still count, but you wont see the credit move your stars until you've passed certain plot triggers. Ziplines will unlock in ch 5 if i remember correctly, which will open up a lot more of the mobility, and the other players structures start to play a bigger role for you by adding nodes to your zipline network. I honestly used them a lot more than the roads in many circumstances, and they'll never reach all the locations; they really only shine when you have huge deliveries to make (or you are farming Mules) since the ziplines are limited by what you yourself can carry.
Briar King Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 It’s such an amazing game and yeah all I’m doing these past 20 hours or so is trying to get 5 stars at all locations and not advance any story at present. Totally addictive gameplay being a mailman.
Briar King Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Just got to ch 4 of Death Stranding. My head has exploded... also the end of Ch 3 was just BRUTAL to watch. So good I actually dreamed about it last night. This game is going to go down as one of the best games I’ve ever played if the quality keeps up.
NottTheBrave he/him Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 (edited) Finally beat Doom 2016 in prep for Eternal. Flat out one of the best games of the generation, if not one of the best FPS games ever made. Going to re-play to get all my secrets and what not. (Even bought Doom 93 on switch too!) Draginon he/him Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 Almost done with Assassin’s Creed Unity. Just finishing up a couple of the Co-Op missions in solo mode (this is where most of the story of the French Revolution is held like the Women’s March, the execution of Danton and the raiding of Mirabeau’s crypt along with some Templar killings like Marcourt at a tournament) finish the story itself and do Dead Kings. After that I can get ready for Kingdom Hearts ReMIND.

I got a playstation gift card I used on Final Fantasy 9 Remaster (my favorite FF), and pulled the trigger on Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age. FEAR THE DEER! FEAR THE DEER! Also, Dimitri x Bylass makes BL a far more rewarding story IMO, but that's because I'm a shipper at heart. And how is FF12's remaster? That was my first FF and while I never got far, I always get nostalgic about when I was younger and played the game on Thanksgiving Day, and how the visuals blew me away as a kid. I still haven't beat Pokémon Shield yet. Not sure when I will, honestly, and that's a bit sad. But I'm sure I'll finish it before the next Pokémon game on the Switch comes out. Also, Temtem comes out today and if it's any good I'm honestly a little worried for Pokémon in terms of what it'll do to older fans. I don't know how the much the younger generations care about Pokémon, but I know that for years Pokémon fans have been screaming for a MMORPG Pokémon game, and Temtem is looking like it'll deliver the closest we'll ever get to that. But I don't like MMORPG's so we'll see. Picked this up on Friday and started playing Saturday. I'm already farther than I ever was on the WiiU version...and by that I mean I beat the first real dungeon and have four party members...it's not a big step, but its enough at the moment. The story is pretty bland, but the gameplay is indeed fun. I'm not entirely sure I'd recommend it if you don't like the Persona games or are an oldschool Fire Emblem fans (this one very much caters to the Awakening and Archanea crowd), but it's not as bad as people think it is...yet. My own personal head-canon is actually that this game takes place at the same time Persona 5 does. But since the casts are living different lives, their isn't an intersection other than traveling to different dimensions and fighting monsters.* Overall I'll probably treat this like Pokémon. I'll play it when I want to and put it down when I get bored/tired. *I mean, just think about people who live in the same city as you, but have completely different interests and lives. They might be focusing on getting a raise or the next episode of the Bachelor while we obsess over Sanderson's works. Same with this cast - the Persona 5 characters are all social outcasts; these guys aren't.

Lol, I have not had a chance to get to blue lion yet, but I have been enjoying golden deer because i feel they require you to be more tactical to get the most out of the units. I keep Leonie by Raphael, with her being an archer to go into bow knight, and Raphael full on tank knight. She gains a bonus from being adjacent to him and wrecks with the bow while he takes no damage, and if his personal skill ever procs, then he gets a free heal. I got sylvain on my team, and I group him with Hilda, and he ends up getting a comparable boost in damage to Felix, coupled with a damage mitigation. As to FF12, honestly I don't know yet lol. I put a limiter on me regarding Borderlands 3 because it has started to wear out for me, so I decided I would stop for awhile after I beat the game once with every vault hunter. I just finished with Zane. So now I am focusing on my golden deer run. After that I have to figure out the order I am going to play through lol. 7 hours ago, Use the Falchion said: Picked this up on Friday and started playing Saturday. But Leonie and Lorenz!! Jokes aside, I'm glad your Raphael and Sylvain are working out well for you. They're usually hit or miss on my playthroughs (my first playthrough Raphael was a BEAST - he helped take down the final boss in the GD route. The next few...not so much. Same for Sylvain - the first time I used him he was great, but after that he...sorta fell off). As for TMS#FE, it's fun so far! Everyone targets Rapheal, and he takes no damage, while Leonie has the range to attack back while remaining adjacent to him, keeping the +2 dmg for being next to a male ally. My Sylvain so far has been a great off tank with -2 damage received, and really dishing out the damage with +5 on all attacks (+2 from being next to female, +3 from Hilda for her being adjacent to male) while he is adjacent with Hilda. I actually have to be careful with both pairs so my other characters have a chance to kill and level lol. 13 hours ago, Use the Falchion said: As for TMS#FE, it's fun so far! She is also eagerly awaiting (but also dreading) the release of Final Fantasy 7 remake. She has been waiting so long she is afraid they will mess it up. Meanwhile I am excited over any details for Bravely Default 2. I really hope they go a similar route with the jobs as they did in Bravely Second. I loved how creative and unique the Ghost job and the Exorcist played. Tanking via possession, and healing via "denying" a previous turn was really great imagery and flavor.
Draginon he/him Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 Finished Assassin’s Creed Unity a couple days ago. Good but I didn’t like that the French Revolution stuff was mostly stuck behind the Co-Op missions, almost like the Revolution was a footnote in Arno’s life. Dead Kings was a little better the way that went. Now I’m doing Kingdom Hearts ReMIND and I’m enjoying the additional content. Also befuddled for the first time in this series with the excuse of why Sora needed to relive the entire Keyblade Graveyard sequence. Currently doing the Limit Cut and Premium Menu stuff and there’s no way I’m going to beat all the bosses of Limit Cut since I did a “let’s see what they’re like” look and beat 5 of them with ease (including one people are having lots of trouble with) but was having loads of trouble with the rest so I’m trying to use the Premium Menu to try making it easier for me (I’m not a superboss player so I don’t usually do these but there’s story stuff involved here) and so far I’m getting a kick out of killing everything, including bosses, with one hit! Now when it comes to the Limit Cut bosses I haven’t faced yet I’m going to turn the cheats off to test them before using the Menu on them to unlock the secret boss.
Briar King Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 Made it to ch 5 of Death Stranding with 71 hrs played so far. I got rather emotional at the start of this chapter. First time a game as made me cry in sadness. This game is a masterpiece.
Draginon he/him Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Finished Kingdom Hearts III ReMIND last night and the endings (this is a series where you get ending after ending. KH3 gives us the ending, the epilogue ending, the secret ending, the ReMIND ending, the Limit Cut ending and the 2 endings of Secret Episode) just leave me more confused where this story is going. I’ve never really been confused by stuff in this series but ReMIND got me on the confused train everyone seems to be on. Putting the story elements left to pick up in spoiler since it involves the Secret Episode Spoiler Okay, by the time you get to the end of everything there’s two very distinct stories left and I just can’t figure out how Nomura is going to blend them into one story. The first story is the Foretellers returning, Luxu fulfilling his ‘role’ and the Master of Masters. The other story is the Verum Rex/Yozora story. Verum Rex is pretty much FFVersusXIII in Kingdom Hearts so much so that the music when fighting Yozora is a Final Fantasy version of Destati. It’s going to be interesting where the Yozora stuff will go since ReMIND is setting it up as important since Riku’s been having a dream, pretty much the Secret ending, and then Secret Episode is a fight against Yozora in Shibuya. Also in the two endings Sora and Yozora share the line “I’ve been having these weird thoughts lately. Like is any of this for real or not?” which is the very first thing spoken way back in KH1. Then one in the ‘Sora wins’ ending a man who looks like Luxord is Yozora’s chauffeur making him a doozy now. One reason the Yozora stuff is being so prominent now is the fact that Nomura’s had the script for KH3 done for a few years, he was just waiting on Pixar to get back, and by the time the game started development he was taken off of Versus XIII and it was completely changed from his vision so he’s probably a bit angry about it. You can tell he really wants to tell that story but can’t as a Final Fantasy game so he’s incorporating it into Kingdom Hearts. He obviously couldn’t just add it into KH3 because the script was finalized so the most he could do was the Verum Rex stuff in Toy Story and the secret ending until he could write the script for ReMIND to properly introduce this stuff. Whatever happens this series is taking a turn left field for the next game. 1

The Awakened Salad they/them Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 After much procrastination, I’ve completed the Golden Deer route in Three Houses. I didn’t find it as engaging as Blue Lions, but it was still a solid route. Onto Crimson Flower! (Yes I started up another playthrough immediately after I finished Golden Deer. Poor Radiant Historia’s been pushed back onto the procrastination pile.) I don’t even know what I’m going to do when Animal Crossing New Horizons comes out. Everything I’m playing will be dropped as soon as it releases. 1

It has certainly influenced him to some degree, although I don't know if he played Link's Awakening.
