You're forgetting about the time Rand first uses the Deathgates -
Protagonists more powerful than Rand

That one might be harder and be more dependent on specific mechanical things. I would assume that in order to connect someone to the Source, he would need to have some way of interacting with it himself. Can't connect someone to something that he can't reach. It would be like trying to connect someone directly to a Shard that's hundreds of light-years away. I don't even think Ishar could pull that. That being said, if he can transfer one person's Connection to another, he could transfer a Channelers connection to the Source into himself. That would be a more realistic method. -

I am of the opinion that if the One Power and Investiture could theoretically meld, Connection could absolutely sever someone from the One Power in a similar way to a shield. That feels like a no brainer interaction, because they're explicitly connecting to the Source. -

Wasn't it explicitly confirmed that Lan is the best swordsman in the world? Gawyn>Galad I can believe. Definitely not Lan. Lan is top 2, unquestionably -

I'm super hyped for it, I think the afterlife of Gods thing is a really cool idea. -
Blasting through Black Clover now. Just passed chapter 200 because the arc I'm on is crazy good.

I finished Volume 31 of ReZero. This series is awesome lmao. As the strongest existence, Natsuki Subaru will trample upon all his foes!

I would agree with the first paragraph. I think the plot reveals hit harder with Dimitri personally. More people used to have S supports, but they changed it because it used to be a more relevant mechanic than it is in this game. They can still get married, it'll just be who has the highest affinity with each other. And yeah, 3 Houses takes its time. To its detriment, if you decide to play every route.... -

I like Dimitri first a lot but I'm also biased lmao, you can't really go wrong with any of them -
Yeah, most of these books are pretty short. They run around 600 pages on the long side.

I have now finished the final book of the Cradle series (not counting the short stories) THAT WAS AWESOME! That was amazing. Really good series. @Eluvianii

I hear the story is really good in the character sidequests. I haven't finished it, for some reason I haven't been able to binge it. Combat in X is like. The most complicated in the series. 1 is actually very simple, though its chain attack system is pretty weird. But otherwise it's very simple. -

Tomorrow I begin the final Cradle book, Waybound. The series has been peak, and I can't wait for it to conclude peak

Yeah you don't really get updates on people until they pop back into the story, with certain exceptions that are the top tiers of power. But also you kind of know what they're doing when you leave them. One character settles down with their family, another character ditches and goes back home. One weird thing I'll say that happens is that in one of the books, we're introduced to a character that is very close to one of the mains, and they spend the whole book training the main and trying to make them stronger. But then the main takes a path of advancement that they don't like, and we don't get to see their reaction to it after the fact or their farewell. And that's really weird. I haven't read Lord of Mysteries so I couldn't say. This is my first Cultivation
-
It depends on the character. Some of them don't come back. It's kind of an inevitable problem though. Since this is a cultivation novel, the mains are always advancing, and naturally they advance a lot faster than the side cast, so they tend to get left behind in terms of power by design (or they're on a tier of power way above the MCs, which is its own reason). It also doesn't really make sense for a lot of the side cast to follow them around. They show up when it makes sense for them to be there. Like it's not like it's unnatural. The side characters disappear either when the main characters outstrip their power and they're left behind in whatever location they were last at, or if they're too strong, when the characters can't have a supremely powerful crutch to lean on for the coming story. Honestly I hesitate to really call it a flaw.of the series, it's just something I've noticed and went "it's kind of sad that I haven't seen X or Y for four books"

There's 12 books, though they're also pretty average sized. Around 400-600 for most books, though funnily enough some of the books actually make the font size smaller to fit more words without dramatically raising the page count and they STILL look way thicker than the other books. As for the quality, they're amazing. I've been reading them for about half a year, and it's been fantastic. My biggest issue is just that side characters feel very important in some books and then they drop off the face of the Earth for several books at a time, but that's very much a me thing.

It is good, and it is a dodge/parry heavy game. Whether or not it's.got a learning curve very much is gonna depend on the person.
