So I've restarted playing Deus Ex. I found a really good mod on steam that reskins and enhances the graphics, and the game is SO much more fun to play with it.

I recently re-installed freelancer.  Remember that game?

It was a pain to get running on 10, I had to use the old no-disc crack.  But it runs!

I had forgotten how awesome this game is, and how much effort went into story telling and universe building.  Lots of showing instead of telling, and some interesting log reading.  And lots of very awesome cut-scene animation, and voice acting.  Especially from Jennifer Hale, and Captain Sulu.

Anyone still play this game?  Or is it only me?

Currently just playing Binding of Isaac Rebirth with Afterbirth and Hearthstone. Trying to get a full completion on Isaac so I'm mainly stuck on the Keeper. Also, I limit when I play to during lectures/tutorials for the ones I don't need to write notes during so I don't play it that much during the week.

Keeper's friggen weird.

I've never played Freelancer

Good luck...it took me a while to complete at 100% the game ;-)

Journey is free on PS+ for a few more days. I got it yesterday and finished it in about 2 hrs today. Amazing controls and visuals but the story lost me. Some dialogue would have made this outstanding instead of just great. It's only free for a few more days so I'd reco y'all to go load it now.

This week has been a good week for me in Destiny. Yesterday I got MIDA Multi-Tool and Kostov 7G-0X. Today I climbed up the secret path to the top of Felwinter Peak.

I recently bought Overwatch (on PC) and am loving it. The lore is pretty cool and the gameplay is nice and balanced. Is there anyone on here that plays on PC as well? It would be fun to game with some of you ^_^

Oh man I'm getting smoked so hardcore this IB. Been playing for hrs and not 1 winning team yet. I haven't gotten higher then a .80 KD match either... I'm used to 1.50-2's not this.

Most of my gaming right now is Asphalt 8 Airborne, on my Apple TV.  It's kinda cool how well it works there, though there's a controller delay that means if I switch to an iPad/iPad, I get really thrown off by how fast everything reacts (in addition to the nausea from moving the screen around).  I just don't play it on anything else to avoid that issue, though.

So I was playing Duelyst just then. And I was getting rekt due to a crem hand/deck. And then I got a Slithar Elder from a chrysalis egg, which basically duplicates each round by going back into egg phase and being reborn. Then I use a nifty spell to duplicate a friendly minion nearby 3 times. I hid behind my wall of Slithar elders. It basically went like this.

1x Slithar

1+1=2xSlithar

3+1+1+1=6xSlithar

1+1+1+1+1+1+6= Slither etc etc.

This is what it looked like in stupid steam low-res screen-shot. Theres me hiding behind that  egg in the top left. And there I am, surrounded by my mates. my opponent surrendered afterwards.

I'm on a roll in Destiny Iron Banner. Just got a 15 kill streak and got to level 5. I am using The Lingering Song as my gun.

Not me. I've been utterly decimated for the 1st time in 2 yrs because of the huge light gap. I started in low 340's going up against 380's. I've gotten up to low 350's and still only have an avg KD of .30 a match. A .50 on a good match. I've watched my glorious KD plummet in a week that I have grown for 2 yrs now. So mad.

Just picked up the Witcher 3.  I'm a bit nervous, because I wanted desperately to like 1 and 2, but I couldn't get into them.  But I bought into the hype about 3, and I've been in a gaming funk recently, unable to get into any game I've been playing.  So I'm hoping the Witcher 3 can break me out of this funk.

Just finished Yakuza 5.  It's got some parts that work wonderfully (some of the subplots, the driving and hunting controls, the character designs and acting) and some that make the game really tedious (everything involving Haruka's pop idol minigames).  It works out to pretty good overall, and so very Japanese.

Finally got the Thorn quest ugh. Took way to long. Gonna be busting it to get my fav gun back at yr3 strength. Been tearing up Archons Forge and getting sweet loot to get my light up.

Anyone play Overwatch? I'm considering getting it on the PS4 (I'd get it on the PC, if mine wasn't so garbage). It looks really fun, but will Blizzard keep the console version up to date with the PC version? And will it still be big in a few years?

So I picked up Witcher 3 on GOG last week, and I just got around to playing it the last 3 days.

Its...not bad, but I couldn't play 2 for very long, and I'm getting the same vibe from 3.  I really don't like geralt.  I don't like the character, the voice acting.  Pick something about the guy, and I don't like it.  I dumbed the games difficulty down to the second easiest setting, and the combat is pretty fun.  But I constantly find myself walking around with half health, or next to no health.  And finding the flowers for swallow is incredibly hard.  Almost impossibly so.  So I hunt for food and water, and am surviving off that only so far.

This sucks, because I blew 40 bucks on this game, and I was told by everyone who's played it, and their next of kin, that this game is so different from 2, and is so much more awesome.  But I'm not seeing the big differences that everyone else is.

There are little things, which I like more.  if I wasn't hunting for ingredients, then fast travel would be awesome.  The detective stuff, where you have to follow tracks, and use your Witchers senses to find clues is pretty great.  And finding the random encounters to help folks is something I rather enjoy.  Or even running away from encounters, and the thing chasing me starts ripping into the nearest civies.  I like that mechanic, forcing you to choose your hide, or innocents lives.

But these are such small parts of the game, when I have to ride all over creation hunting for these exact ingredients (spent an hour looking for that flower for the swallow potion, only have 3 of the 5 I need for a single one), and have to deal with the voice actors emotionless voice to talk to...anyone.

@mattig89ch, how about switching the audio and playing with subtitles (if that's an option)? I mean, I played through Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood with Italian audio and English subtitles and that was an excellent choice over English audio.

Ok, so I've actually just stopped playing Witcher 3 for now.  I put it to the side, and picked up Stellaris.  That game is fun on the bun.

I'd happily go into some details about my campaigns so far.

Playing Civilization V now. I am kinda new to this series, in the sense that I have played this game with only a few civilisations. This time I played with Portugal. The Diplomatic victory is so easy with them.
