Basically building school spirit? I could be wrong. Close, it's what we do to build up to homecoming, which is a dance where the school elects a “king and queen” from the senior class. It's normally on a home football game. There's a parade, a pep rally, clash of classes (the classes, senior, junior, sophomore, freshman, compete to prove that they are the best), and lots of yelling. It's fun.

They are likely missing the majority of sanderson books. 2
