Not sure about anyone else or whatever, but I gained permanent photosensitivity after taking some really hardcore anti-fungal meds for a bad run in with some nasty stuff in lake water.

I thought that most cases of "born allergies" were a similar response that is typically called such, but isn't technically an allergy. Like people allergic to water or sunlight. It's easier to say "allergy" than to try and describe what the actual cause is.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that the common allergies - like being allergic to some food or pollen - can not be "born allergies"? Or that they're different from the ones like being allergic to sunlight?

Allergy is like Allomancy: you're more likely to have it if your parent has it and you can have different one(s) from your parent.

Yes,  there is a genetic component that can predispose you toward developing an allergy. It's still something that develops.

With my son, when he was first starting various solid foods, they told us to continue watching for multiple times of eating common allergens because it's not common for a reaction to occur on first exposure.

There are conditions though that present symptomatically very similar to an allergy like the ones I mentioned, but aren't actual an anaphylaxis reaction

When you force your husband to read SA just so you have someone to fangirl with!

I find myself dying to peak in to the Oathbringer spoiler board too  I know I'd regret it but what can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment. I'm re-reading WoR to tide me over till release date, which is a couple of days later for me since I live in the UK.

(This happened at church today). When Laurel sitting behind you tells you she's reading tWoK and you start bouncing in your seat because your so happy. My friend (fellow Sanderfan, but she didn't understand my excitement) finally got me to settle down. And in the middle of Sunday school, you start talking to a friend who has only read SA about Oathbringer. He thought it's coming out in October. But I told him it's going to be released on November 14th at 12:01AM. I think he was slightly surprised...

When every morning, you jump out of bed, turn off your alarm clock, and check the Shard. Then you "accidentally" do nothing else while catching up on the Shard.

Also, 400th post!

Every. Single. Day.

Sometimes I have to force myself to get ready for school instead.

It never works. :D

What's on Tuesday?

Or reading.

I have 14 books in a 2 by 2 foot area next to my bed. And then about another 125 on my bookshelf, one under my mattress in case of an emergency...

And now that I'm writing this, I am realizing I have a slight problem...

@Tesh, the new Oathbringer chapters

Oh, I knew that. Maybe. Sort of. It was stored in the back of my brain. I just wasn't thinking.

I'm not reading it till it come out though. It's horrible. But fun. I guess...

I have no idea where I'm going with this.

When you read Reddit/Facebook theories and can't understand how in the world anyone can read Brandon's books and misunderstand the Cosmere that badly.

When your background is a map of Roshar, profile picture the Bridge Four glyph, and you have about 200 emails. I haven't cleared it out for about three days...

And when this is the background on your kindle:

It works really well as long as I am holding it landscape.

It's funny, because I had to stop lending out my books because I don't want people to read the spoilers I wrote in them.
