Claincy he/him Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Thank you! I'm glad that that actually makes sense, I wasn't sure. You should have explained it in eastern street slang Then you would be pretty sure about whether it made sense or not. When you have spent so much time playing sanderson elimination that you automatically want to post anything off topic in blue, anything related to rules or functionality in green, feel that anything related to administration should be orange, on-topic discussion should be black and secrets and fun stuff should be in white! Bonus: And it feels really weird when you make a post without different colours. 3
Awesomeness Summoned he/him Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 When you have an entry in your notes app just for copying text from threads to read hidden white text (since the iPad doesn't show white text when highlighted) 4
Claincy he/him Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 When you have an entry in your notes app just for copying text from threads to read hidden white text (since the iPad doesn't show white text when highlighted) XD Sorry about that. Not very sorry though.
Kobold King he/him Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 XD Sorry about that. Not very sorry though. You know you're a Sanderfan when you SAW that. 3
LinkasZelda Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 When you sing along to Do You Want to Build A Snowman using the Spook parody lyrics instead. And then are tempted to record it. 6
Left he/him Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Do it! That'd be awesome. I hate that song but High imperial should make it good.
LinkasZelda Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Where can I find these lyrics? http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/7600-sanderson-covers-of-pop-music/
Shaggai Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 When you see "fMRI" and, for an instant, think that MRI is a new metal. 5
Gabriele she/her Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 When you return from a ten day holiday trip and the first thing you check after the email is this forum. (No, I don't have any of those something-phone thingies; I can stay off the world for a few days quite fine.) 4
Claincy he/him Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 When all you really have to do is list who died, what their roles were and when the day ends, and in true Sanderfan style you write over 1300 words. I didn't mean to write that much. It just sort of happened. 4
Popular Post Observer Posted May 1, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 1, 2014 When people talk about how having to read a 300 page book is such a chore, and you're tempted to scream them into submission from atop your flagpole-height stack of Sanderson books. 22
Left he/him Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 When people talk about how having to read a 300 page book is such a chore, and you're tempted to scream them into submission from atop your flagpole-height stack of Sanderson books. Oh, how I know this feeling. Definitely a upvote mate. Except that I DO scream at them from atop my watch tower of epic fantasy books. 3
Shardbearer he/him Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 When you read this Brandon interview and, seeing that the fatal error of transposing "Realmatic" as "romantic" was made, leave a comment (under the name "Sanderfan" no less) reporting to the site the error of their ways. Yes, that was me. I may be whiny, but I need my facts correct. SFFWorld was wrong, and I needed to fix that. When you remember exactly when you saw that interview and the comment and thought "SO THAT WAS YOU"! 1
Observer Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 When you look down on your old passwords, because now yours is a 39 digit rhyme/pun on Rock and Horneater!Shallan's names, plus some random cosmere words thrown in for the heck of it.
LinkasZelda Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) When you ACTUALLY END UP RECORDING the parody of Do You Want to Build a Snowman? EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN'T SING.http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/7600-sanderson-covers-of-pop-music/page-2#entry132115 Edited May 2, 2014 by LinkasZelda 9
Delightful Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 When somebody records your parody..... (take another upvote, Linkas!) 1
Gabriele she/her Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Oh, how I know this feeling. Definitely a upvote mate. Except that I DO scream at them from atop my watch tower of epic fantasy books. My book towers could support the roof of a cathedral. I'll soon need one to store the lot. 2
Observer Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 When you not only find it normal and totally expected to have read a 1000+ page book eight times and filled it with notes, but also are pretty sure that a lot of other people have done more. When nobody around you can even begin to comprehend how the person with an enormous, bookmark-ridden tome is one of the less crazy Sanderfans out there. 6
Swimmingly he/him Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 The craziest ones have transcended this reality. They have reached a level of fandom that has transposed their existence into the Cosmere, where they live their lives in utter contentment. Read the minor characters carefully - you might have known them, once, though their footprints upon this inferior Earth have been washed away. 10
Gabriele she/her Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 It gets worse. There are multi-fans with split personalitiles who live in the Cosmere, Middle Earth, Westeros, Osten Ard, and Seven Cities (or Letheras, Genabackis, Malaz City - take your pick and make sure you don't get stuck in a Warren) at the same time. 4

Read the minor characters carefully - you might have known them, once, though their footprints upon this inferior Earth have been washed away. Maybe they're the worldhoppers.
GreyPilgrim he/him Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 When you're doing a firepit with some friends and you really want to say, "I am a stick" over and over again. Then you do it and get really weird look (and you have no shame about it). 4
