I think it depends on which forum you frequent. Kobold, Twilyght, ect. come to mind if you're an Oregon RPer. The mods for SE come to mind if you are a SE player. Ect.

Don't you mean your Fungeon? The fun dungeon?

Also...

Who are the most well known people on the forums? (Besides Kobold King of course.)

Just curious what your opinions are.

There's really only one valid response to this: B)

And the nominees for most known 17th sharder are:

1)Kobold King

2)Kobold King

3)Kobold King

4)Kobold King

5)Kobold King

And the winner is (drum role please)

Brandon Sanderson (everyone knows here knows who he is and he has an account, even if it's seldom used)

Young whippersnappers! I remember the days when Kobold's rep was under 500! He had a lizard for a profile pic then...

Of course, there have been many who were here way before me...

I predate Kobold. Somehow, I didn't realize this eater of upvotes was in our midst until it was too late.

To be fair, I don't think anyone could have predicted him breaking the reputation ceiling the way he did. I remember when Featherwriter was one of the highest ranked members on the board, and the amount she had seemed absurdly high for someone who wasn't Brandon or Peter.

I'd say Quiv and Twi are also pretty well known. I would say featherwriter and swimmingly also but I've barely seen them round lately.

Well it's always nice for me to get an ego-deflation.  ^_^

EDIT: I realized that the original phrasing left ambiguous who i was referring to (myself), and so could be read as rather harsh towards any number of other Sharders. I altered it to clarify my intended target.

Well, as far as serious theorizers go, I think that Skaa and Kurk are on the top of my list. I just don't see posts from either of you as often as I do the Reckoners RP'ers and moderators.

Me too. I outdate you too. :P But I didn't really become active for a while.

Those were the good old days. :P She hasn't posted much recently.

I'd say Kurk and Chaos as my top two aside form Kobold.

Its weird to be on a forum where I don't outdate most of the members! As I recall, on the Warriors forums (which I enjoy browsing for crossover rps, as those are so much fun) I joined in the first week of it running. On WolfQuest, I joined.. like.. five years ago? There's only three or four active users on there who were on before me really. Stormfather, weren't those the days. WQ is pretty much a graveyard now for teenagers who have long since grown out of their wolf phase.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Peter... I'd say him, Chaos, Voidus, Weiry, Feather, and Kobold

I was thinking Peter too. But usually he's just a troll ;) Unless he's posting in the anime forum. Then he's very wise.

In the parts of the forum I Venture to the most, I usually see Moogle, Kurkistan, and sometimes Oudeis. I guess that shows that I lurk a lot in the theory sections.

damnation justice. You're old school.

(I will add that the reason I didn't mention Feather as a well known member when I mentioned her rep is because I haven't really seen her name on the online list lately. While her Renarin love is probably common enough knowledge, I don't know how much new members would know her.

Which is a shame, because she is/was awesome, but still, you get my point.)

Miss Contrary used to be quite well known really, rather surprisingly so considering her post number(I think it was fairly small). Sigh, I miss those days, when Swimmingly was the creepiest person with a spike Feather was still infamously fangirly Chaos.....was just Chaos as usual. I wish that I was better off, but I haven't been very active of late and never in a lot of the more mainstream areas of the forums.

The list of active/popular sharders has changed several times since its inception here. There were a bunch of people who no longer visit here who used to be quite popular years ago, like Sweetness or Emeralis. By my count, i've seen some pretty big shift in the "known/popular" sharders at least 3 or 4 times since this site started. Most of the Admins usually remain relatively popular, even though many of them come and go every so often (except chaos who's pretty much always around).

There's also a number of people from TWG who migrated over here when it started who've pretty much phased out of existence these days. Back when this place started it was almost exclusively TWG folks (which is where this site started at)

Eerongal is right. This is what makes it difficult to choose who the most well-known Sharder is, because there are some people who've been popular for years but are no longer very active or have disappeared completely. So new people wouldn't know about them unless they read old threads (or read other people talking about them, like in this thread).

Aside from admins, mods (like Moogle and Weiry), and Peter, I think the currently active members who've been consistently making an impact in the forums for longer than I've been a member here are Kurkistan and Voidus. But then I tend to be very picky with the threads I read so I might be missing some other active veterans.

Kurk, cos when I first arrived here, I read a whole tone of Cosmere theorising. He was very prominent (or at least had theories on all the cool things I was curious about - have you solved FTL travel yet Kurk?). Chaos/KChan/Moru/Coma - Members over on the MBI, which is where I've spent the majority of my time prior to now, since joining. And then I guess the SE mods/peoples, cos I've just spent, you know, a fornight reading a bunch of stuff over there.

Basically, I think. After Chicago, I'd say we just need to make sure that mechallomancy can make big bubbles and we've got all the bases covered.

I'm waiting on the full signing to get into the database (a lot easier to cite things that way) before writing up a full revision of our current understanding of time bubbles.
