Myst He/Him Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Trance, after stumbling out of the storefront, started towards a wand shop. All the while berating himself. My first time trying to buy something and not only do I forget the exchange rate, but also almost get scammed! At least those other girls were there… they, seemed nice. But it was thanks to them he didn’t get ripped off. Trance wandered into Ollivander’s wand shop, he should probably get one. He went up to the shop-keeper, probably Ollivander. “hey, uh, can I get a wand?” The shopkeeper looked up at him, “Ah, welcome, I’m Ollivander, at your service. A wand you say? Well you’ve come to the right place” Ollivander walked over to his many shelves, calling back at Trance, “Now, do you know how this works?” At Trances shaking head he continued, “that’s alright, I’ll hand you a wand, and just give it a good flick, I’ll do the rest” Trance nodded, “Alright, I… I can do that” Ollivander got out a small wand, a slightly reddish one. Ollivander smiled “Rowan and unicorn tail, eight inches, rather rigid, try it out” Trance took the wand, trying to wave it around dramatically, “Wha.. what am I looking for?” Ollivander sighed, “You’ll know it when you feel it” he took the wand back, “how about… thirteen inches, ash and… a Veela hair. I forgot I had that.” Trance shrugged. Unicorns? Feela? He didn’t know what they were. He took the wand, staring at it. It was long and dark. He swished it up and down, it seemed flexible enough. Trance waved it around some more, nothing seeming to happen. Ollivander reached out for the wand, “that’s to be expected, rather temperamental, these one are, don’t worry though, I have the perfect fit, ebony and dragon heartstring, ten inches.” He reached for the wand. Just before Ollivander touched the ash wand, a burst of sparks happened, blue and green scattering around the shop. Trance cringed back, “is… that supposed to happen?” ”Usually no, but exceptions happen. Anyways, that’ll be eight galleons” Trance nodded, “Alright” he handed over the money, taking his new wand with him. (figured I’d have fun with the wand” 1

He refuses to comment on his parents, and nobody knows whether he comes from a wizarding family or not. Apparently neither the Ministry of Magic nor the muggle government have records of Tom's lineage. 2

Myst He/Him Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Trance looked at his list of materials, then at the dwindling supply of money in the pouch he’d been given. The cauldron and wand had cost more than a couple galleons each. He felt in his pocket for the galleon the girl had given him. If he ran out… he might have to spend it… Looking over the signs flooding the street, Trance scanned for the appropriate place. “Robes… Books…” Considering he did need robes, Trance decided to start there. Hopefully it would turn out to be less expensive than everything else seemed to be 1
Ink and Embers Any pronouns Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Forest is muggleborn and fairly chatty. They're constantly amazed by the bizarre world around them and hope they never get used to it. They have curly brown hair down to their shoulders that looks like the only brushing it ever gets is while being dragged through a bush, the result of far too much time spent poking plants to see if they contain potion ingredients. They wear a pair of round glasses that are held together more by sheer force of will than any actual gravity, but hey, they're a wizard, they can do this. Probably. Just... don't get expelled, Forest, you're doing fine! Hopefully. 2
Verdance he/him Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) Hmmm… seems I need character design. Orry is a bit short, but don’t tell him that. He has short, straight, dark hair and always prefers darker shades of clothing. He loves capes because there are no movies in the Wizarding World and has never seen Incredibles. He has a bit of a temper and tries to prove his intelligence. He would almost rather be in Charms class, in any situation. He’s a terrible liar and loyal to a fault. He was named after his great-great-grandfather, who didn’t visit the underworld, but did save his wife from frenchmen, and so Orry tries to imitate the original Orpheus’ musical talent. Badly. Cycle Zero will end and Cycle One will begin when all players have declared their House selections. Leokadius looked up from the list and the shelves as he heard someone talk to him, it was a Girl wirh long black hair, who intotuced herself as Azalea Blackwood, interesting Name. "Nice to meet you Azalea, I am Leokadius Seydlitz, you see my family isn't very fond of Durmstrangs Reputation and want to avoid association with it. I think I can manage for now, but I am sure we will be able to talk more at Hogwarts" Leokadius replied before focusing again on getting the Books he needed.

His acceptance letter into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was going to study there. His mother was a witch, so it shouldn't have been a surprise, but his father was a muggle and he had had doubts. But now . . . it was finally time. He was going to study at Hogwarts! He tried to contain his excitement as he raced up the stairs, shouting for his parents at the top of his lungs. The joyous celebrations flew by, and soon enough he stood at the entrance of Diagon Alley, staring down Ollivander's. Edited March 22 by TwinStorm

What plot? Does anything actually happen or is it just all romance thinly disguised as ‘plot?’ See, at least my books have some substance.” Though maybe she should be talking. Her book series of choice is, after all, a romance series thinly disguised with a lot of court intrigue and a few assassinations, though in her mind that makes it much better. As they leave the shop in search of their next destination, she tells Azalea “You know, you’re one to talk about collecting lost puppies. Though that one is probably less of a puppy than the last one. Oh, but wasn’t his cape just divine? I might have to get one myself. Quite the statement.” Rather fittingly, their next stop was the clothing store. Just in time, because after seeing the German kid’s cape, Vera was in desperate need of her own. 2

He shoots over the heads of some first years, leaving them gaping. Soon he reaches the bookstore, and hops off his broom. Hopefully this year would be more exciting that previous ones.
