Quick Fix 78: Hearts of Riches, Rhythms of Hatred

image.png.6b917a7ef9a3fd6d1f71a995753b9083.png

Revolar was always a chaotic city. Nestled between hills, straddled by the tributaries of the Windrunner River, it long outgrew its walls and boundaries. As Parshmen, you worked in its farms and forges, underlings to the humans who ruled the streets. Then came the Storm, heralding Their arrival.

The humans fell in the chaos, and those who called themselves Fused - the voidbringers of ages past - preached salvation. Now, floods of your people arrive every day, preparing for a new age, but still you doubt. Doubt that this is truly right. That the forces that rule over you now truly have your best interests at heart.

That in the aftermath of chaos, you will be able to maintain who you are.

Welcome to QF 78! Your co-GMs will be me (Hoid Slayer) and @TwinStorm. Personally, this is my first time co-GMing a game, and I'm excited to share it with all of you!

Alignments

Singers: The Parshmen of Revolar, recently freed by Odium, you are now being forcibly corrupted into bonding Voidspren, yet you fight back. As the uninformed majority, you win when all the Regals are dead.

Regals: Standard eliminator faction, you are trying to bring Odium’s power to the stubborn Singers who resist. Each cycle, you may choose to either kill another player or convert a player into the Regal faction, which happens X times per game (number determined via player count). A converted player permanently joins the Regal faction and has a 33% chance to lose their role, if any, and gain a Regal role. You have a factional doc to communicate in. You win when you outnumber the living Singers.

Shardbearer: A lone warrior with a feud against the voidbringers, you see every murder of the Singers as a victory. You win when you have achieved parity with both alignments, and you have a kill once per cycle.

General Rules

  • 24 hour cycles

  • PMs are open, go wild!

  • There is an inactivity filter of two cycles. You must post in thread, or be replaced/removed.

  • Players must vote in thread, red for those they’d like to accuse, and green if they would like to rescind their previous vote.

  • At the end of each cycle, the player with the most votes will be executed.

  • All actions, including kills and conversions must be submitted by a player in lieu of any other actions they might have.

Roles

  • Willful: You are too strong for the invading Voidspren, and they fear your inner strength. You cannot be converted by any means.

  • Discerning: A wise member of the Listeners, you can scan a player and discover their alignment and role once per cycle.

  • Heroic: Bold and fearless, you seek glory in protecting others. Once per cycle, you may target a player and protect them from being killed, either by the Regals or the Shardbearer.

  • Sneaky: Sly and clever, you can target a player once per cycle and learn who they have targeted.

  • Inspiring: A powerful leader, you can target a player and prevent them from being converted. You can alternatively target a player once per cycle and make their vote count for +1 until the end of the cycle.

  • Spren: Bonded to a budding Knight Radiant, you are randomly assigned one player at the start of the game that they must ensure survives the game. That player does not know you are their spren. If that player survives, you win, regardless of whether the village or the elims win. You maintain your alignment if they are converted. While your Radiant is alive, you may place an extra vote on a player anonymously each cycle. Once per game, you may protect your Radiant from being killed in the Night. If they die, you automatically lose and are eliminated from the game.

  • DireformA powerful and vicious Regal form, you may target a player and roleblock them once per cycle.

  • Envoyform: A charismatic and overbearing Regal, once per cycle you may target a player and decrease their vote by 1 until the end of the cycle.

  • Stormform: Capable of bringing lightning down from the skies, you can target a player and randomly redirect an action targeting them.

  • Shardbearer: The only member of your faction, you are immune to the conversion, and have access to your factional kill every cycle.

If I may ask, why do you always pinch hit but not play?
