"But I do."

Ella scowls.

"This thing sucks. Do you want me to stop?"

"I chose to heal you, I accept the consequences. I don't want you indebted to me, and I'm not going to let you get hurt because you think you should be."

"You can't stop me from helping you. I've survived death camps, a god who used me and almost forced me to kill myself then almost killed me with the same stuff that's in you now, and the Kaos Wars. I'm strong. I can help you. And you can't stop me."

Ella ran over to a cupboard and grabbed a green jar. "This should hold it. We use it to hold like all dangerous magics."

4 minutes ago, Through The Living Glass said:

Aora pulled it into the jar and closed it.

"Let's ensure all of the corruption is out, and then I'll leave, I suppose."

That was a bit anticlimactic. It's fine, though.

Ella shook her head. "You can't just leave like that. I have to make sure you're physically well or improving at the very least before I can let you leave."

"I can, but that's beside the point. I've died before, twice. I'm really not that worried about this."

He is, but he's not gonna tell them that

"I'm personally not worried about getting hurt in this. But if you're around me you could still be in danger."

"That doesn't mean you should put yourself into more danger for no reason." Lerac's voice remained calm and unemotional.

Mead Bush announces his presence with: "Ok, sorry for eavesdropping but it seems I'm not the only one here related to a deity? This is interesting, tell me more, please. But, first, er... what was it I was gonna say? oh yeah! there's a newbie here in the waiting room, poor girl's crying herself dry. I'd help her but I think she's scared of me, so could someone less scary lend a claw, ah, hand?"

Meanwhile,

Ms. Fisa is still curled into a ball and sobbing. this has been going on for half an hour.

"Don't assume another's safety is 'no reason'. We can handle ourselves. So we'll help you, whether you want us to or not."

He sighed. "I can just go somewhere you can't follow. You really can't force yourself into this."

“You aren’t kicking us out of this.”

“Yeah you should have. Look the pain you’re in is just gonna get worse and astronomically so. It’s not at all in any way safe for you to go off by yourself.”

"This was never meant to be something you go through on your own. Even gods who are stupid and mean and all the horrible things want and advised you not to do this alone."

Why is he being so stubborn on this?
